We will be kicking off the season with some winter weather, holiday trees, Double harvest rate event weekend, gargoyle treasure drops and we will be adding a new creature: The Snowy Fox!
During the Holiday event, you can find these cute creatures in the snowy areas! When picked up, the snowy fox wraps around the player's neck like a scarf and will keep you cozy during this cold season!
Holiday card community Event
Using a scene/screenshot from Dark and Light, create your version of a holiday-themed card! Be sure to include a title to go with your card and an optional inner description. Remember, the funnier the better!
Rules:
1. The card can be horizontal or vertical.
2. Please include a text title on your screenshot. You may use what you like for example: “Season's Greetings”. Feel free to be creative!
3. Optional: Include an inner description that you would typically find on a card. This does not have to be a part of the image but can be placed below the image as a description. Please see examples provided for inspiration
4. The card must be dark and light related
5. Keep in mind the card is not judged by photoshop skills but by wit and creativity

Continue to Fortify Defense
In upcoming builds, we plan to continue to buff defense facilities such as the Spell Tower, to give the defending players/houses more advantage over the attacking party in combat.
Adjusted Elemental Tower attack to beam/ray attack. Once the Spell Tower aims at its target, its attack will 100% hit it. This will greatly increase the hit percentage and strengthen the defensive ability for Elemental Tower. This will prevent players from being able to unfairly dodge it.
We will also reduce the crafting cost for Spell Tower Ammo. For the same amount of crafting cost, you will be able to produce triple the amount of ammo after this patch.
This patch will be buffing the HPs for Door, Gates, and Manor structures as the below:
Straw Door: 640 to 1280
Wooden Door: 1720 to 3440
Wooden Beast Gate: 6000 to 9000
Giant Wooden Beast Gate: 12000 to 18000
Stone Door: 3720 to 7440
Stone Beast Gate: 12000 to 20000
Giant Stone Beast Gate: 24000 to 40000
Iron Door: 10000 to 20000
Iron Beast Gate: 20000 to 30000
Giant Iron Beast Gate: 40000 to 60000
All Manor structures: 40% increase
Gorgon’s artifact bow will be nerfed by disabling its ability to range-attack Spell Tower while the character is outside Spell Tower’s attack range. Iron structures and Manor structures will no longer take damage from Gorgon’s artifact bow. Only against, straw, wooden and stone structures.
Giant Bufo Skill Optimization
We’ve adjusted how you control tamed Giant Bufo’s swallowing ability. After you press MMB (Middle mouse button) to swallow the target, within a certain period, you can press MMB again to disgorge it. Swallowed targets with lighter weight will travel longer distance when disgorged from Bufo. This creates more possibility for Giant Bufo to combo with other tames.
Server-Transfer: First Batch
This patch will introduce server transfer and have it implemented for the below servers:
Via Soul Node, players from any one of the above servers (whether it being The Sacred Path server or Shard of Faith server) can transfer their characters to any one of the above servers (whether it being The Sacred Path server or Shard of Faith server) while keeping their character levels, and Knowledge progression, and Quest progression. You can also bring items with your character in your inventory (with the exception of Summoning Stone, Small Soul Suppression Stone, Soul Suppression Stone, and Shipyard, etc) However, while item transferability is available, we currently advise against transferring items as you might encounter item loss. We’ve done our tests with transferring items, and will continue to test to make sure item transfer is implemented as designed without bugs.
Spanish Localization
- Spanish localization will be implemented in this patch.

Thanksgiving Miscommunication
Greetings adventurers
First and foremost, we would like to apologize for the miscommunication about the Thanksgiving event in our last announcement. The turkeys were not pushed live before Thanksgiving and our miscommunication has caused some players to believe we were having a double harvest rate event over the Thanksgiving holiday while in fact, it was a double experience event that was ongoing.
For the inconvenience, Turkeys will be added to Shard of Faith this Thursday when we release a patch update, and they will stay live for three weeks as we enter the Christmas event. In the meantime, we are extending our double experience event for another week. It will last until December 3. Thank you again for your patience with this and we hope you all had a great holiday!

Elemental Tower will shoot Magic Ammo in a quicker and more accurate fashion
Added a new facility structure - Magic Ammo Hub, which can be unlocked in Thaumaturgy Knowledge, and automatically refuels Elemental Tower with Magic Ammo within a certain range from Magic Ammo Hub
Satyr Incarnation RMB attack
The base damage of its RMB attack, Lightning Spear will be determined by the weapon that the players are currently equipping with

Important Fixes
Fix an issue where play character movement speed isn’t correctly affected by speed buff.
We will delay our scheduled changes and fixes to a later time, to make sure this fix is correctly implemented in live build. Fixes and changes are being tested and will be promoted to live build around Nov. 15.
Also, for those players who exploited the speed buff for PVP gains, they will have their accounts banned for three days.

Nov. 1st Patch notes

Important Fixes
-Fixed an issue where riding non-flyer tames were experiencing rubber-banding by certain terrain.
-Fixed an issue where flyer tames could not take off when mounted.
-Russian localization is implemented in game. Please take note that we are still working on making sure the Russian localization is accurate, and we ask the community to assist us in proofreading it in

Map adjustment
-Increased the Z-axis height of the map, and added invisible barrier to prevent players from accidentally travelling too high up and crossing the map boundary.
Item Balancing
Optimize the material required for crafting and repairing tools and equipment, to ensure their recipes are reasonable:
1. Reduce the amount of material required to craft and repair quality armors and weapons.
In the last patch update, we fixed a bug where the amount of material required to repair quality items is not increased compared to non-quality items. However, we received player feedback saying the cost id much higher, so we re-adjust the multiplier and reduce the material cost for crafting and repairing quality items.
2. Reduce the amount of lower-tier tool/equipment, and elite/boss drops required to craft and repair quality armors and weapons.
Some recipes take lower-tier items as crafting material. For example, Satyr Axe will need Stone Axe while Firestorm Staffhead II will need Firestorm Staffhead I. In the meantime a lot of recipes will take elite/boss/drops as crafting material.
This update will reduce the required amount of lower-tier items and elite/boss drops so that it is less costly when you craft and repair quality items.
3. Reduce the cost it takes to craft race-exclusive weapons. Now it will only need material that is more commonly available.
For example: repairing Spear of Hel will no longer take Hunting Spear+Livingroot+Mithril Ingot. Instead, it will only need Antiseptic Wood+Mithril Ingot to get it repaired after this patch.
Other Fixes and Adjustment
-Added a new wood-chopping animation for Satyr Axe’s and Stone Axe’s RMB swing so that you can harvest wood from trees more efficiently.
-Optimized creatures’ physics and ragdoll to help with their twitchy bodies when creatures are dead
- Fixed an issue where players can cast Drain Spell II Staff head while moving.
- Fixed an issue where the Element Tower is not corrected positioned when placed on top of Behemoth Platform Saddle.
-Adjusted Chimera’s LMB attack speed, and its stamina cost, making it a more powerful enemy, or a stronger tame for players.
-Removed the waggling when Behemoth is idling, so that its platform saddle and the structures atop it are not shaking a lot.
-Fixed an issue where Air Fortress is not controllable because the collision in Air Fortress cockpit is incorrect.
-Fixed an issue where Hydra skills and Behemoth skills are damaging themselves and getting themselves killed.
-Fixed an issue where Shadow Cannon Ball and Light Cannonball are not craftable in the Refining Forge.
-Fixed an issue where Staff of Neutra is not showing the correct crafting material.

50%Off! Oct. 30 Patch Update
Greetings, Adventurers in Ganareth,
We have another Dark and Light patch coming at 1:00 am PDT on Oct. 30.

We will officially confirm the updating time both in the announcement and in-game pop-up window.
· Fix an issue with the Satyr quest Hel's Blessing where crafting a Spear of Hel doesn't register as task completion. If you are currently working on this task, you need to redo it after the update. If you have already completed this task, you could still do it again and get rewarded.
· Fix an issue with taming quests - players were asked to meet a lot of requirements before they can get the tames. Players were forced to stay around the tame during the taming progress, and they cannot go anywhere until it is finished. To compensate for that, we adjusted it to make it easier for you and house members to finish taming quests:
Even if you leave the creatures during the taming, you can still get the quest finished.
House members who assist in the taming process can also complete the quest..
Bug Fixing
· Fix a bug that could cause server crash.
· Fix an issue where Sluagh is not spawning properly.
· Fix an issue where player characters' and tames' speed are getting incorrect debuff once affected by Dharkhu's venom attack.
Optimization
· We changed the icon of Gorgon Hydroponic Plot to a triangular land. You can use the Hydroponic Plot to grow crops more efficiently. You could use these triangular lands and the fan-shaped lands to build up the unique land as you like.
· Fix some UI.
· Fix some text.
We will soon update the following content in a future patch.
· Players on the Sacred Path may not be able to accept and work on the quests. We have already noted this issue and we are currently working on a fix.
· We have also noticed the rubber banding that has occurred to tames since the Halloween patch. We are working on fixing these bugs right now and will update as soon as possible.
· We are also aware of the issue with Air Fortress. Its collision isn't properly configured at the moment, we will fix it in the upcoming patch. Also note that, in the next few months, we will reconstruct the Air Fortress to avoid future problems.
·Despite being indicated in game elsewhere, Shadow Cannon Ball and Light Cannon Ball currently do not have their recipe ready in the Refining Forge. We are working on this right now.
· We are currently proofreading Russian localization, and other language localization as well, and we will release them hopefully by end of this week.
We would also extend our invitation to our dear adventurers to assist in the localization proofreading about these languages. We will upload a "Dark and Light text reference document" in the community. You could find all language translation in this document. If you find any mistake in the text, feel free to leave a comment in the community or email us. We will fix it!
