DHMC Sunday Blast - 8/31/14 - Twitch Stream

Come out to join us this Sunday to send off August with a Blast. September is looming and alot of great features are coming.

We will start playing at 9 PM EST/6 PM PST and go for a 2-3 hours.

Patch 0.0.6.0 NOTES:

Updates:

- Updated HANGER interface (including ability to rotate mech.)
- New Spawn/Command Map (hotkey 'm' in-game)
- Updated Attrition gameplay (Game is limited to X reinforcements, capture bases will give addition reinforcement tickets every 5 minutes. Game ends When team has 0 reinforcements left)
- Increase number of custom mech slots in HANGER from 10 to 25.
- Weapons updates (increased overload factor on energy/missile weapons)
- New equipment available (side shields for each mech. Cover side of torso and top side mounted weapons.)
- New mission 'Coastal Invasion', attrition game type
- Update base AI to capture spawn bases
- Improvements to network performance

As normal we would love everyone's feedback, especially on the new features with this release.

Patch 0.0.5.7 Live

Whats in this patch:

- Visual improvements to rocket and missile explosions. The explosions will last longer and be more dynamic.
- Some weapon projectiles and explosions will now cast dynamic (non shadow casting) lights. This has been done to help improve the visual impact of combat in the game. Players that wish to turn off this feature (such as those with low end GPUs) will be able to do so in the options menu.
- Weapon group firing key bind. (You can now fire your weapons groups with keybinds)
- updated Beam weapons to render more consistently
- Additional sounds: nuke captured, Faction win, torso rotation and more.
- Updates to mech movement. Adjusting turn and torso rotation speeds to increase mobility.
- Mini-nuke mission. Nuke spawn indicator now shows on hud, along with deployment platforms.
- Added bots to server count, Bots can be replaced by human players when hitting max number.
- Updated crosshair to turn green when over a friendly mech and red when over a enemy mech.

What will be rolling moved to next update:
- Reducing the amount of damage taken from falling. (doing more around updating the way physical damage system applies damage. Physical damage is important to the game.)
- Update to city map to improve performance and layout.

NOTE: As the community grows we will be removing bots from official servers.

First DHMC Thursday fights!

DHMC Thursdays are a time we invite all Early Access players to gather and play together on the various servers. No list of things to test, just a time to get together with some big stompy bot action!

Thursdays from 7pm EST til whenever the last people leave we invite you to join the DEVs in a weekly game night. So bring your favorite mechs and lets get it on!

NOTE: We will be hosting other event in different time zone starting in August, but please feel free to organize fights!

Scheduled Fight times! and Dev chats.

To promote some multi-player action we will be scheduling Fights nights starting next week. We will be putting these times on the game's group calendar and posting announcements each week.

We will try to scatter the times a bit since currently about 50% of the game owners are in North America and 50% are in the EU or Russia.
