Schism has a new update dropping Feb 10th that adds some end-game content, and enhanced controller support. Keep your eyes peeled for that! But the BIG news here, is that Schism is leaving Early Access MARCH 10th!! There is no discount now, so as not to conflict with that launch discount.

I'm burying the lead a little here. But as a part of this event, I'm also debuting a redesigned 2 Left Thumbs Publishing logo - made by Fiend Folio artist RedRachis!
The 2024 Steam Awards are here 🎉
It has been 1 month since 'Goodnight' the final content update for Dead Estate launched. This came 3 years after our Steam launch, and 4 years since the original browser game was first released on Newgrounds.
While Dead Estate has been a Labor of Love, we could never have supported the game this long without all the love you've shown in turn! What better way to celebrate the final expansion than to shoot for an official Steam Award? Competition is bound to be tough, so every vote counts!
And while Dead Estate won't be receiving any more content updates, that doesn't mean the work has ended... We're pleased to announce that console ports are already well underway! Devkits have been in hand for a long while, and playable builds already exist on multiple platforms!
We are anticipating a lengthy approval process, especially considering this is our first proper console release. Mistakes are bound to happen - both in developing these new builds and submitting them for approval - so we cannot yet confirm specific consoles or dates. But we promise to let you know when there's more to share!
Thank you, for EVERYTHING!! We hope we can continue to repay you in kind <3
Full OST Now Available!
THE COMPLETE OST
Our apologies for the delay while final mastering was completed on all lossless (WAV) tracks. But the full OST is now available! If you already own it on Steam, it should update automatically.
This includes all the new tracks added as a part of the Good Night Update (renaming a few tracks and reorganizing their order), as well as separating the Assignment Anya tracks into a Disc 2. This brings the total up to 79 tracks, totaling just shy of 2 hours!
The decision was made to leave the price at just $5. Both newcomers and Dead Estate owners can use this "complete the set" bundle for additional savings!
It is also available on Bandcamp, with YouTube and Spotify streams hopefully coming soon.
(IN THIS HOUSE DEPARTED) I WILL NOT DIE SCREAMING
While this is available in-game, I also wanted to take a moment to hype up this AMAZING song and lyric video made as a send-off for Dead Estate.

Patch 1.7.5 change log
- Fixed a crash caused by starting the game as certain characters (such as BOSS) with all curses enabled. - Fixed a crash which would sometimes occur while using the Boomerang or Record weapons. - Renamed "Camera-mouse focus" (in the game settings menu) to "Camera-crosshair focus." - Tweaked the descriptions of "Camera-crosshair focus" and "Camera-player focus." - Corrected typos with some medals.
Small one with a couple crash fixes, that's all!
Patch 1.7.4 change log
- (Hopefully) fixed a crash which would occur upon reaching the main menu for some players. This is another crash I had trouble recreating myself, so it could take multiple patches to get this one fully ironed out. - Added an option under audio settings that lets you disable weapon firing sound effects. - Added two more treasure rooms to the Shrine floor to encourage visiting it pre-loop (it *is* intended as a shortcut to the dream route, after all). - Boosted health for all phases of the new final boss. - Last phase of the new final boss's body segments now take slightly less damage than the head. The head still takes full damage. - Damage numbers now show up as "0" for Dog Chunks and Tentacle Chunks. - Slowed down Dog Chunks's charge attack. - Luis now starts with the "Holster" item to provide extra clarity that he starts with an additional weapon slot. - Fixed the "Breath Mint" using the wrong sound effect when fired. - The fake crash message in the Abandoned Set no longer appears when playing the game on a controller. - Fixed Luis's icon appearing in the Curse menu when Luis hasn't been unlocked. - Corrected errors in some of Roselia's item descriptions. - Removed some debug features that were accidentally left in the game (whoops).
Hotfix 1.7.3a change log
Last patch caused a new crash to emerge which would happen whenever you'd retry a run after dying. This hotfix SHOULD amend that issue. I wasn't really able to replicate the crash myself, but I removed the line of code that was causing it to happen. That should've done the trick!
Patch 1.7.3 change log
- In the "No More Running" challenge, you can now move whenever enemies are not on screen. - Added an option to disable certain effects used by the new floors under Video settings > Effects settings. Disabling these may help improve performance on some hardware. - Decreased Oko's HP (both with and without wool). - Updated Cordelia's sprite on the Curse select screen to use her correct skin tone. - Corrected the name of the "Uselessness" challenge being wrong on "The Swimmer" achievement on Steam. - Increased the hitbox height for Fuji's gloves (and all glove-type weapons). - Fixed a bug which caused the wrong music track to be played on the main menu under certain circumstances. - Increased the low end of Cybil's shop prices (from $50 to $100) and removed the $150 option. - Fixed "Chicken Hat" and "Hand Mirror" causing the game's difficulty to *not* reset upon getting a game over. - Lowered the chance of duplicate chests occurring *without* "Aporia." - (Probably) fixed banned items spawning during challenges, such as "Ball 'n' Chain" spawning during "No More Running" and softlocking your entire run.
Patch 1.7.2 change log
- Added the new music video as a playable video from the movie gallery (unlocked by clearing the dream route with every character). - Optimized shader effects used on the new floors, this should hopefully boost performance a bit for people with lower-end hardware. - Hidden achievements now show up as a series of question marks in the challenge book. Should hopefully make it clearer how to unlock some of the new challenges. - Lowered the volume of explosions when multiple explosions are happening at once. - Fixed Axel's hidey hole not spawning in the Shrine, Dream, Mindscape, Nightmare, and Ruined Estate floors. - Fixed a bug which caused cultist shops to never spawn on main floors. - Updated all music tracks used for the new final boss. I had accidentally used slightly earlier versions of them before, whoops. - Fixed the new final boss's checkerboard attack only creating a limited number of explosions.
I'm gonna continue working on optimizations, but hopefully this patch makes the game perform a little better for everyone who has been experiencing lag in the new levels.
