The full version has finally arrived.

We celebrate VR Zombie shooter ​Dead Ground: Arena leaving Early Access.



The final version includes seven exciting levels in different environments with challenging bosses and a variety of weapons to fend off infested creatures.

During the Early Access phase of ​Dead Ground:Arena, we made numerous improvements to the game based on player feedback including support for more devices like Samsung Odyssey, adjustments to gameplay and controls as well as improvements to the already impressive unreal engine 4 based graphics and the addition of new maps and enemies.

As an agent of the secret organisation Blackrain, players take on a variety of missions in changing environments, ranging from claustrophobic caves to infested railroad stations, where they must fend of unrelenting hordes of enemies.

To tackle the challenges of the standalone arena mode, they are equipped with a wide range of weapons, from realistic military firearms and grenades to more exotic ones such as a Freeze Ray or the all-time favorite Gravity Gun to fight more than 30 different reactive NPCs such as typical zombies, crawling and jumping ones and gigantic bosses.

We are really happy to announce that we will release the full version on September 3 .


New map


The full version contains 7 maps, each consisting of 3 different levels of difficulty. A new map, "Totem", will be added.

On totem maps, you will enjoy night fighting with guns with lights. You will need a lot of concentration because you have to fight these mysterious creatures that attack from all directions in the dark. New NPCs and new environment are waiting for you.

We're going to have an event for users of Dead Ground: Arena before Dead GroundZ is released.

Important notice



We upgraded Unreal Engine version to 4.19 this time.
As such, the graphic setting will have higher effects than previous one.
For example, Ultra resolution will have bigger screen scale in version 4.19 than the former version, which requires higher performance leading to lower frame rate.

If your PC is not good enough for bigger screen scale than just try to lower graphic settings to have the same quailty with same frame rate as previous one.

We are optimizing and fixing potential bugs for rail scene.
We will update this soon.

More than just zombies



You may think that this is about just zombie game.
However, this is NOT true. This is more than that.

We would like to say that most of things that you should eliminate in this game are more of "unindentified creatures" as a result of secret experiments.

Some of them will move like a typical zombie but some will crawl or jump in a way you've never seen before.

Also, even though lots of them look like a zombie but some are totally different from typical zombie.

Let's play with a variety of monsters created by side effects of secret experiment of Black Rain.

* HTC Vive users need to pay attention to this.
These options have a bigger impact on HTC Vive than Oculus.

1) Screenscale

Increase maximum value from 120 to 200
Extend the range of screenscale that users can choose

2) Addition of MSAA(Multisampling Antialiasing) and Antialiasing options

Antialiasing option
a) Low - Off antialaiasing
b) Midium - Temporary AA
c) High - MSAA 2X
d) Ultra - MSAA 4X

If you want to have SHARP and CRISP graphics with your GPU of 1070, we recommend you to set screenscale of somewhere between 180~200 and Antialiasing option of a) Low.

2. HTC Vive controller angle

Modify HTC Vive controller aiming angle reflecting user's request
Some of HTC Vive users claimed the aiming angle was not that familiar.

3. Level open

Allow gamers to play two levels in the beginning of the game.
Due to the difficulty adjustment, Elis island became the first map followed by Dungen.

4. Addition of Steam leader board

Your score will be recored on the server and you can compare your ranking and scores with your friends' or other players'

5. Bugs

Fix the bug with respect to users dropping below the map when loading a new level
