Ahoy Captains! Today we are leaving the Early Access! It's a BIG day for us and we hope you will like all the changes we have made and which we are introducing today.
Early Access was a real challenge not only for us but also for you - players. We want to thank you for all your patience, those nice (and unpleasant) words and your wonderful support!
There is one thing that we didn't introduce yet but it will be released as FREE DLC soon - new ship based on F/V Northwestern. Unfortunately, we weren't able to finish all programming due to some delays caused by bugs.
Anyway, we are finally here! We made it together and we hope you will stay for more than ONE season!
I almost forgot! We "tuned up" storm weather - so please, be aware that some of you may have nausea ...:>

Major Update - February '20
Ahoy Fishermans! For a long time, there was no "public" update until now. Forgive us that you had to wait so long. We are working hard on new patches, improvements, and features to create the game you expect from us.
Today's update introduces many corrections and changes ... you will probably also find some "new" bugs :) If this happens (and probably will be so) please let us know in the comments and posts on the forum/discord.
Here is the list of the most important new feature that has been implemented in today's update:
new "tablet view" to manage crew,
extended crew management capabilities,
improved crew AI,
added tutorial for crew management.
Also, we have recently updated RoadMap and right now everything is going our way. I hope that we will keep up the pace of work and not encounter any new problems to be able to provide you with regular updates.

Road Map Update
Ahoy brave Captains!
Today we have posted an update to our Road Map. As we have mentioned before, the previous version of it was prone to changes. To answer all your questions about the upcoming features and the timing of their implementation, we've taken another thorough look at the plan and updated it to the state of our best knowledge. As you can see, we've spent last month on beta-testing the new crew management system and the tablet tool used for it. We intend to implement that feature this month in the public version of the game, so all of you can enjoy ordering your crew around the deck. :)
In February we plan to bring you another feature that you've asked a lot about - multiple seasons with the captain's skills. We are sure that this feature will bring you much more fun in playing Deadliest Catch: The Game coming from the proper progression. More vessel upgrades are planned for March - as well as the Steam integrations and the Kickstarter in-game rewards :)
We'll do our best to fulfill this pan in a timely manner, but please have in mind, that there still may be some changes during the development.

Update 0.13.44 - Windows 8/8.1 problem fixed

We have good news for you! For quite a while we’ve been hearing from you about troubles with playing the game on Windows 8 system. Since the very first information about it, we’ve conducted a thorough search for the bug causing the crashes. It took us some time, but we believe that we’ve managed to find the source of the problem and get rid of it!
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 please make sure to update the game to the latest version, give it a try and let us know if the game is starting properly now. We hope you will be able to finally enjoy your adventure on the dangerous Bering Sea!

Development Progress - update note
Ahoy fearless Captains!
Today we’d like to tell you a little about our current focus and the upcoming features, that will get implemented in Deadliest Catch: The Game. So here’s what we’ve been up to. :)
Recently, we’ve been working on the major update for one of the most important features - the crew management system. As you all well know, currently there are three workers available, each performing a specific task. With the upcoming update, we are going to put much more decisions in your hands, captains!
First of all, we will provide you with a very useful tool to manage your ship - the tablet. Within the tablet, there will be a special panel designed to manage your crew. There you will be able to see your available crewmen and assign them to tasks of your choice. All the actions will be connected with “work loops” - either preparing the pots or collecting pots from the water (the third loop for your sailors is resting). While your crew is working on their assignments, you can check the progress of each task on the tablet.
After this major update, we will be developing the tablet feature furthermore, including the full information panel within it, for example helping you keep track of all your items in the storage or the issued fines. In time, the tablet will become a true command center of your vessel. :)
When we got the tablet figure out, we’ll proceed to develop another awaited features - progression. We intend to implement multiple seasons, so all the money and resources you’ve gathered will pass between them. The same goes for the upgrades and captain’s skills (more of those will be available in the future). So that’s how your career in crab fishing goes!
