Community Update 3 (July)

Hi Hunters!!
We have a new Update :)
This update has, basically, an important change in the way to play Deck Hunter.
After receiving your valuable feedback about the fact that losing your cards after finishing the Forest is very frustrating, we've finally decided that now, You are going to keep your deck after finish the Forest. This change will apply to future zones.

This change has the following consequences:

  1. The progression between zones (Forest, Swamps,...) is lineal now. So, if you defeat Forest you automatically play Swamps. You can't choose the zone anymore.
  2. We increase (a little) the difficulty in the Swamps. You'll arrive at the Swamps with a powerful deck, so you need a good challenge :)
  3. Now the game has the same design as other roguelikes. It means you need to go forward winning combats until the end of the game.
  4. If you die = You lose your cards and your progress on the map. You win your XP.
  5. Start a new game = You start a new adventure from the first level of the Forest with the default basic deck.
  6. Leave adventure = You lose your 30% of resources, XP, and map progression.
  7. Surrender option removed. You can only "Leave adventure" from the main menu.

Community Update 2 (July)

Hi Hunters!
A quick update before the Steam Summer Sale ends.

1. New UI for the Settings menu.
2. New Settings options: Disable camera shakes
3. New Settings option: Enable mouse on the map navigation




4. Resources balancing: Now is cheaper to forge pieces of armor.



5. The minimum of cards in your deck is 8 now (20 before). It means you can skip the cards pick from the beginning. Of course, if you have 7 cards or less to pick a card after combat will be mandatory.



6. Some English text fixes.

Community Update (July)

Hi Hunters!
We hope you're playing a lot these days and buy good games on Steam Summer Sale :)
Meanwhile, we continue working and we have a new update.


1. Now you can disable the "Player Turn" and "Enemy Turn" messages in combat. You can activate this option on the main menu settings and the combat settings.






2. New "next turn" button.

3. Access Alchemy and Combo books faster.

4. New UI for Cards, Alchemy, and Combos books.

New Update - The newcomers are around the corner!

Hi Hunters!
We come back with a new update. As you know the Steam Summer Sales are near and we hope new hunters join us. So it's time to clean the nest :)

- Tutorial: Finally, you can learn the basics of Deck Hunter!



- Updating Power: No more "grinding". This is the power for updating the cards. Every time you use an updateable card you'll lose one point. When the counter will arrive at zero, cards will not be updatable until the next combat.



- "Sensitive" is detailed in each enemy. So now you have more info about enemy actions.



- Bug fixing and balancing.

Hi Hunters!
We're back with a new update. This update has some important features, but the most significant is the new flow of the cards. Now, you can play the cards faster and the game feel has been improved. We hope you enjoy the game with this new update.



  • New flow of the cards.
  • New Cards Pick (Rebalanced).
  • Updated cards now have combos (36 New Combos).
  • No more Negative Combos.
  • +18 new cards.
  • Balancing: Cursed Cards, Boss Cards, Enemies, and Mechanics.

The Major Update is here!!

Hi Hunters!
The Major Update is finally here!
I’m very happy to share this moment with you. It has been a long time since I decided to redo the enemy AI and, as a consequence, the most important parts of the game. It has not been easy to achieve this renewed version of Deck Hunter, but I committed with you, the community of Deck Hunter. Anyway, all the way through is past and, now it’s time to enjoy the game.

Talking about the Major Update, there are some important points that you must keep in mind:

  • It is highly recommended to reset your profile once you update the game. It helps a lot to avoid save file issues. Of course, you’ll lose all your progress in the old version, but believe me, it’s worth it!
  • The new enemy AI has created a new mechanics system. Every enemy is different and its behavior can change depending on its mates. A tip, face the combats as a “puzzle” that must be solved.
  • The game continues on Early Acces, so I’m going to add new content with more frequency, this time.
  • I have planned the following updates but, as usual, I would like to count on your feedback, proposals, and ideas.
  • Apart from your feedback, you can support the game with reviews (if you didn’t do it), recommending the game to your friends (now is 20% off) and following the Deck Hunter account on Twitter.

The Major Update Before May

Hi Hunters!
Let me introduce myself… it's me, Avery :)
As you know L_Draven is very busy with the major update, so I’ve decided to help him with the communication of the game. Of course, I don’t leave my work as a hunter inside the game, you know, looking for Glatta and these kinds of stuff.

As you know, we’re living an exceptional worldwide situation with COVID19, but it doesn’t affect to Deck Hunter project. Anyway, I hope all of you are well and be safe at home, enjoying videogames. We’re fine too.

The major update is coming, for sure before May, but we don’t have a date yet. Don’t worry, you will be the first to know it. Talking about the features of this major update, let me share with you the most relevant.

  • Completely redesigned enemy AI
  • The Swamps (new zone)
  • 141 new cards
  • New types of cards (Boss, Fusion, Wish,...)
  • New mechanics
  • Art improvements
  • A lot of new enemies (some of them are hidden)
  • New bosses
  • Some hateful bosses

To summarize, this major update is more a “New Deck Hunter” than a list of improvements. I pretty sure that the wait will be worth it and, you will enjoy the game. To relieve the waiting, here you have some screenshots of the new version.
