Decontaminator Pack - Season 04 Cosmetic DLC Update
Hello Miners!
Last week we announced our next upcoming DLC - the DECONTAMINATOR PACK - and as usual we’ve been following along on all your feedback in the wake of it. Turns out a good chunk of you didn’t feel it was up to our usual standards - in particular the titular Weapon Framework itself, and the accompanying Paintjob. We had a bit of a nagging feeling ourselves that this new pack wasn’t up to the standards required of a DLC pack, and reading your comments confirmed this.
Frameworks and Armors are peculiar entities, and what might look super cool to some, might read as boring to others - and especially in the case of DLC packs, we are learning that more bling tends to be received better. You’re putting down good money for these items, and you want them to stand out - we hear you!
So, in order to make this a DLC worth adding to your collection, we decided to tweak the Weapon Framework, and update the Paintjob. We’ve focused on making the guns stand out a lot more with some brand new attachments, adding vials and digital displays to lean more into the “Decontaminator” theme.
And don’t worry, those of you already cracking your knuckles to tell us you liked the old Paintjob: The Paintjob you saw in the first trailer will be added to the next Performance Pass, because dang it, we really liked it!

As always, we are very grateful for all your candid comments. Community feedback and discussion remains a huge part of developing DRG, and we always want to hear from you. Whether it be praise or critique, it’s always a good indicator if we are on the right track or not.
Just so we are all on the same page in terms of what is in the pack, since we also noticed some confusion in the comments:
The Decontaminator Pack is a Weapon Framework Pack, not an Armor pack - when you buy it you will get the Decontaminator Weapon Framework, and the Decontaminator Paintjob that you can apply to all other Weapon Frameworks, Armors, your Pickaxe, and Bosco. Check the store page for details, and wishlist it if you want to be notified as soon as it launches on June 15th (June 22nd on Consoles).

Decontaminator Pack - Season 04 Cosmetic DLC Reveal
Hello Miners,
In case you missed it, we just revealed the new Cosmetic DLC Pack we will release alongside Season 04 - the Decontaminator Pack!
This new DLC includes the new Decontaminator framework for all weapons in the game, alongside the Decontaminator paintjobs for all other weapon frameworks, armor, pickaxe, and Bosco. You’ll be well–fashioned to deal with the next set of horrors the Rockpox throws your way!
The DLC Pack is now available for wishlisting, so you can be among the first to show off the fancy new framework. Your fellow Miners will be green with envy!
We are still making our way through the more than one thousand (!) comments to last week’s Steam Post, containing our very cryptic image. It has been an absolute joy to share your excitement for Season 04, and many of you already found the message hidden within the artwork. To reward your effort and excitement, here is the full Key Art reveal for Season 04!
Why are the dwarves flying? What is that monstrosity they are fighting? What’s in the box? Patience, Miners. All things will be revealed in good time. And soon - you may count on it.
There is one thing we can reveal, though: The title of Season 04 is CRITICAL CORRUPTION.
Season 04: Critical Corruption will push the struggle against the Rockpox Lithophage beyond what you have experienced in Season 03. It’s time to put a stop to this plague, Miners - Deep Rock Galactic does not tolerate a toxic work environment!
And also, while not technically a reveal (wink-wink), Season 04 also has a release date: June 15th on Steam, and June 22nd on Consoles. So suit up, call down the cleansing pod, and get ready to decontaminate more than you’ve ever decontaminated. Eggciting news! By popular demand, The Great Egg Hunt is returning! The event will start on April 4th, 1pm CET and end on April 20th, 1pm CET.
For those of you who just commenced employment within the last year, the Great Egg Hunt is a chance to eggsperience some Spring festivities together with your colleggs. What can you eggspect from this Seasonal Event, you ask? Well, let’s crack right into it!
The Great Egg Hunt Assignment
For the duration of the event, a special EGG HUNT ASSIGNMENT will be available, and Management is willing to shell out a hefty reward upon completion. And on top of that, Management has thrown in an eggstra assignment - Last Year’s Spring Fashion, Which will reward you with the Spring-themed hats of yesteryear.
Hats
That’s a total of 4 eggsquisite hats you can obtain from this year’s eggstravaganza! The two new hats, Chicken Cap and Eggshell on Your Egg are both obtainable from The Great Egg Hunt Assignment. And put in that overtime by completing Last Year’s Spring Fashion to collect the Bunny Bun Bun and Sunny Side Up hats. Your wardrobe will be filled to the brim in no time! That’s a hard to beat opportunity!
Bunny Hunt
To contribute to the festivities, Longbeard Freight has crashed a shipment full of mechanical spring bunnies into the caves of Hoxxes. Management originally ordered these for decorating the Space Rig, but are now scrambling all miners in an effort to locate them - this is no yolk. Retrieve a bunny while on a mission, and you and your team members will be rewarded with a Double Mission Performance Point Bonus.
Yes, Management should look into alternative delivery methods, but mishaps like these are an eggsellent opportunity to put in some paid overtime. In conclusion - you’re welcome, Miners.

Last week, we notified you that the Legacy version of DRG was being removed now that the Five Year anniversary event is over. Our original plan was to have the Legacy version as a fun retrospect into how much DRG has evolved in these last five years. But we heard from a lot of you that you want to keep the Legacy edition around. And that is what we’ll do.
Accessing legacy work differently to how it was during the Five Year Anniversary event – we are moving Legacy to its own Steam Branch. For details on how to access it, see this post. So now you’ll have access to this wonderful time capsule of memories whenever you get nostalgic.
Bear in mind that we don’t plan to update the Legacy version, it will stay as true to how it was when it launched. So consider the bugs to be features – the Glyphid kind as well as the technical ones. And crashes are just a reminder to go play the Live version. What we are trying to say is, now you have the option to go back to the original version whenever you feel like it – warts and all.
And with the past of DRG now accessible at your leisure, we’ll go back to working on the future of DRG.

We adjusted hollomite spawning, now there should always be enough to meet mission objectives. This patch will remove the 2018 Legacy Edition from the default steam branch, but it will be available through a steam beta branch called ‘drg_legacy’. A guide on how to access Legacy can be found here
