New Map: The Valiant
Balancing
This update hopes to make the game less grindy
All standard operators reduced the price from 5,000 to 3,000
All advanced operators reduced the price from 12,000 to 8,000
A Note
I thought it was really important to get this map out right away so that the game had more content, but expect relatively soon that servers list will start displaying maps and that this second map and the first map will be given more detail.
Since this update introduces an entirely new map with new possibilities there might be a few bugs so please report them if you find them!
There appears to still be a lot of crashing going on, so again, please comment when you crash, what you were doing, what was going on, etc. I really want to fix these as soon as I can!
Making the game less grindy - Save your latinum! (And New Map)
3 days in I can now see that the grind to get new operators is way too much!
With the gameplay being so new and only being one map I can't expect people to spend hours of their life getting these operators, so I've decided to reduce all their prices in the next update.
And as a twist, the next update will also be featuring a new playable map for the Alien Versus Hunters game mode!
So if you're saving up latinum or were about to buy an operator, DONT DO IT, because by the end of today (U.S) you'll be able to do it for a lot less!
Sincerely,
Blake Gillman
P.S
As a side note, it's never said but the latinum's full name is Gold Pressed Latinum based off the currency introduced in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, for anyone who was curious.

Changes
Made ending screen a solid color screen rather than a realtime one
Spectator camera is now zoomed out further, originally it was zoomed in to prevent network lagg spectator advantages
Blood splatters now have a slightly randomized height as to avoid overlapping
Fixes
Fixed network sync issues caused by control panels and vents that could cause error buildups leading to crashes
Fixed network sync issues caused by cloth colliders that could cause error buildups leading to crashes
Fixed glitch where holding down right click while spectating could cause the camera to rotate out of position
Fixed glitch where blood particle systems would not destroy and constantly build up, resulting in an increase in CPU Usage the longer you play the game
Fixed bug where ammo counter would not display "RELOADING" however now it always displays for the alien
Notes
I'm preparing for multi-map support right now, it's going to take some reprogramming and other things, but so long as this update helps reduce crashes and no new bugs arise I should be able to start on the operations game mode within a few hours after this update goes live.
This build was just about trying to further fix crashes, which really are my main goal. Hopefully this will help elimenate them and I can get on to adding other features! And hopefully this doesn't break the game like the initial 3.0 did..

A Major Bug Fix
In testing this bug didn't occur but once I joined someone else's lobby I found myself waiting on the ship screen and never spawning. This is because the same code that fixed crashes also broke loading into the map because I'm not allowed to be happy.
As soon as I discovered this I put the game version back to 2.0, but everything should be fixed now. Let me know.

Fixes
Fixed the flesh shell not blocking damage
Fixed glitch where using the vent panels on the left side of the map activated the gas on the right side of the map
Fixed being unable to close the release popup when first launching the game
Fixed glitch where the alien using the flesh shell could cause errors on the hunter's client
Fixed bug where alien's ammo counter would always show as reloading and have 999/999 ammo count
Notes
Crashes are really the most important thing that needs to be addressed, with all the new players in the game it has become obvious that these crashes escaped alpha testing and testers, but that they are very real in the game as it stands. This update helped add a bug fix that should stop crashing altogether, but please let me know if you continue to experience crashes and when they happened, what you were doing, etc.
As a side note, so long as no major problems or glitches arrive I want to aim for releasing the most voted upcoming feature, the Operations game mode. This will take a while since it's an entirely new mode and will likely also require me to redo a bit of the matchmaking and the server's system, but like I said so long as no major bugs or problems arise I should be able to start working toward it.
Should the game have a minimap? It was the most voted feature of the last survey but there are arguments going both ways. Let me know and take a vote:

Changes
Servers list is now a separate menu as matchmaking displays first

Locked game modes now have lock symbols
Reduced player flashlight angle from 90 to 70
Rooms are stopped from having the same name and will throw an error if you try

Added an official "Brought to you by Spacefleet!" guide
I would like to note that my guide is written in the format of a propaganda article being sent to Spacefleet ensigns & cadets, and is not an actual guide.
Also, for anyone interested (and who read through all that text) I wanted your opinion on what I should focus on for the next few content updates. So if you have the time, please take this survey! (Click here to take the survey)
Thank you all so much for the feedback, it's helping a ton and I'm able to get a lot done because of it!
Early Access 1.4

Additions
Added auto-spawn to spawn screen on the map screen as so far many games have had people leave since the leader wouldn't pick a spawn point
Added escape menu to the in-game map, allowing you to view who is connected and letting you quit the match
Changes
Reduced Auto Shotgun damage from 70~95 to 70~90
Reduced Auto Shotgun range from 5m to 3m
Increased minimum game time required to be rewarded
Fixes
Fixed network buildup error that caused users to crash
Fixed glitch where Vladmir operator would aim too high to hit certain objects while standing still
Bug Reports
Creating a server with the same name as another server (for example two servers with the default name of "New Server") can cause the UI to stop working and would require you to restart your game.
The alien player quickly switching to hunter before the match begins can cause the match to start with no alien player
Auto-Spawn goes negative if the leader takes too long to load into the map
The xp bar can go past the bounds
A hunter player quickly switching to Alien before the match begins can cause the match to start with 2 alien players
In the next content update (Early Access 2) I plan on tackling the glitch where Mission can only activate vents on the right side of the map
In reply to senockson:
Thanks for the great feedback. Vents are meant as alien-only as a way for them to get around the map undetected, although the operator "Mission" can gas these vents to prevent camping and to make them sometimes a more dangerous route. Also if you've clicked on a room and cannot join it please press refresh as the game may have started. And thanks for letting me know about the alien-switching bug, I'll make sure to get on that in the next update!
Sincerely,
Blake Gillman
Game Crashes
The biggest bug of the game right now appears to be game crashes. I'm working as hard as I can to fix it, but if you notice any patterns that cause the crashes please let me know!
Sincerely,
Blake Gillman
Early Access 1.3
Fixes
Fixed bug where players couldn't see the online UI at all, caused by the 1.2 update fixing the Second E ui interact bug
Early Access 1.2
A lot of bugs have already been found in the game, and so before too many people are playing I've been working this whole time to fix them. Hope this update helps!
Additions
Added "Press E to interact" tip to the first-time launch menu
Added text to the floor in the menu to label interactable menus
Added red screen overlay when taking damage
Changes
Changed lobby screen text from "Waiting to spawn" to "Waiting for leader to select one of the spawn circles" to make it more obvious what the leader has to do
Made health bar stay on screen at all times but go dark when not taking damage
Fixes
Fixed glitch where pressing E on the online menu a second time would cause multiple menu windows to overlay
Fixed bug where players who took too long to load into the map would sometimes render the alien as being invisible
Fixed glitch where the game wouldn't end if the alien left the game
As a side note to some who may feel underwhelmed by the Joshua controller's damage, this is on purpose as he is meant to be a starter operator only and not to be really used past just starting out.
