Chivalry and Depth have teamed up to bring you a bunch of new in-game cosmetics, as well as a new map! Starting tomorrow at 10am PDT, both games will be 50% off on Steam until May 5th, 2015 to celebrate this union of Sharks and Knights. The update is scheduled to go live as soon as possible, the current status of that can be found below.

New Cosmetics for Depth & Chivalry!

Cosmetics Available in Depth:

Chivalry Themed Weapon Skins - Thrust yourself into combat with the Thrusting Dagger and Thrusting Spear weapon skins for the Knife and Bang Stick. These weapons may not be cutting edge technology but their proven ability to penetrate armor bodes well for dealing with shark attacks.

New Map: Hillside - Available for everyone!



Based on a popular Chivalry map of the same name, Hillside features a coastal fortress that was the site of many battles during the age of chivalry. It is now a crumbling ruin that has been partly consumed by the ocean, but rumors state there are still a lot of artifacts down there which should make the dive worth it.

Megalodon Hunt Improvements



We've re-done the HUD Megalodon Hunt, fitting it into the new UI style. We're also re-built the score display at the top-left of the screen, with a big emphasis on clarity for new players. The new map Hillside has also been added to the Megalodon Hunt rotation, so there's never been a better time to grab some friends and hunt each other!

Ship Wrecked hotfix 2015-04-08

Balance improvements and fixes for new issues with the Ship Wrecked update.

Mechanics


  • Fixed issue where changing weapon just before being grabbed by a shark could make a weapon no longer register hits


Balance


  • Diver bots no longer buy the Volleyjet
  • S.T.E.V.E drops less treasure on getting hit by sharks
  • Tiger shark active ability no longer hides the silhouette of divers in its jaw
  • Tiger shark active ability cooldown changed to 13s from 10s


UI


  • Diver Weapon Modifier tooltips now always show the right sell/purchase prices
  • Fixed issue where binding certain keys to Steam Music functions would make the menus unusable
  • Diver Weapon slot buttons now show controller keys properly
  • Shark Active Ability widget on the HUD now shows controller keys properly
  • Added a tooltip for the Diver Weapon sell button to show how much money you'll get back
  • Removed 'Connection Lost' errors in the main menu if the server restarts before clicking the 'Return to Main Menu' button
  • Fixed some rare crashes in ScaleForm
  • Added more world texture detail levels (added 'Highest' and 'Lowest')
  • Fixed public lobby browser region selection showing up behind the menu
  • Toggle Flashlight bind added in Settings -> Input -> Other


Maps


  • Improved collision in the final safe room in Galleon
  • Improved collision of various smaller assets in Galleon
  • Fixed LOD flickering on some assets in Crude and Galleon
  • Fixed ammo box that was under a rock in Galleon
  • Fixed some collision issues that allowed players to get outside the world in Galleon
  • Fixed some ungrabbable treasure in Antiguo


Content


  • Bandage mesh aligns better after using the Medkit
  • Fixed issue where animations would cause your arms to stretch out across the screen (could also cause crashes)


Sound


  • Fixed issue with water and Great White swimming sounds not stopping at the end of games


Steam


  • Skin choices (for sharks and for diver weapons) are now remembered and saved using Steam Cloud


Other


  • Fixed issue that meant some players wouldn't get their chosen shark skins on the first spawn only
  • Added controller binds for switching to the melee weapon
