So you haven't heard much from us since the BIKE PARKS, BEARDS AND BOUNCY CASTLE update we put out back in July, and that's because we wanted to make sure we gave you an even BIGGER update for the next one, and we're super happy to say that we have! WELCOME TO THE GRAND TOUR!
We've got a bunch of new stuff that we've introduced in this new update:
THREE new bike parks: Llangynog Freeride, Rival Falls, and Island Cakewalk. These are some BEAUTIFUL maps which we know you're all gonna love playing!
NEW MISSIONS: Descenders has always had achievements, but we thought we'd take it one step further - we've added dozens of new missions, each with unique objectives to complete! Wanna ride to the edge of the social hub? THERE'S A MISSION FOR THAT TOO
NEW REWARDS: You didn't think we'd give you a bunch of missions to do with no rewards after completing them? OF COURSE NOT! Reward yourself with some gear when completing missions, and enjoy some of the new items we've included in this update!
NEW CUSTOM LOBBY OPTIONS: We love giving you endless options so you can play Descenders exactly how you want, so what's the need to stop? We've added even more options for custom lobbies, so get your friends together and tear up those tracks!
The team have worked SUPER hard over the last few months to bring this update to you as we wanted to make sure it was perfect. Thank you for all the support and love you give us each time we release a new update - here's to many more! :heart:

Hey there everyone!
We've been a bit quiet recently because we've been working on some COOL new stuff!
In this new BIKE PARKS, BEARDS and BOUNCY CASTLE update, here's what's new:
THREE new bike parks: MT. Slope, Drylands National Park and Dutchman's Rock (Saba). The team are really proud of these, so go ride them IMMEDIATELY
A NEW code for you to redeem: PRIDE. Grab some flags and fly your colours!
We've added BEARDS for you BEARDY folks
We've also added more HAIRSTYLES, so you can ride with STYLE
Crossplay is enabled between Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox PC Gamepass and Steam. Go and make some new friends out there!
Added a FUN BOUNCY CASTLE in the hub world. BUNNY HOP MODE ENGAGED

The CUSTOMIZATION UPDATE is coming Feb 25th!
Hey everyone!
We're super excited to announce that we've been working on a brand new update for Descenders, and it's coming FEBRUARY 25th!
Introducing: THE CUSTOMIZATION UPDATE!
We're adding an entirely new section to the shed where you can make your rider your own with new skin tones, hair colours, body types and more! It's been exciting to jump into more in-depth rider customization, and we can't wait to see where it takes us!
We'll also be introducing you to three new maps (console players, we heard you!). Included in this update will be Rose Ridge, Ido Park and the VERY popular Jump City, giving you a mix of built parks and woodland courses!
We can't wait to see all your riders - see you on the 25th!

It's time for the Descenders MOD OF THE YEAR 2020 results
A VERY big thank you to everyone who uploaded mods this year - everything has been very fun to play and oh my was this a tough decision to make!
First here are some honorable mentions that didn't make the cut but are very amazing in their own way:
Leogang by BI0S0CK: It's a super realistic take on the 2017 WC DH which is extremely tough but fun to ride!
Shift City by DogTorque: A procedural run through a city which is brutally difficult but such a technical achievement programming wise.
SAMP by xXKushXx: - If we had a SKATEPARK OF THE YEAR 2020 this would 100% be it. For Skate 3 fans a dream come true!

We've updated the game to update the MOTY leaderboards in the overworld. We've got some good stuff in the works for next year so stay tuned!
New Lexico Update!
Hey everyone!
It's been a while since our previous update but we're here again with a big one! New bikes, new physics, new tricks and so much more!
We've also asked the creators of some of the most popular mods on mod.io if we could integrate their maps directly into the game, this way we can bring them to non-Steam versions of Descenders as well. Next to porting these mods over we've also made 2 original bike parks. BikeOut4, the next installment in the BikeOut series, full of new and frustrating obstacles to have a go at. And New Lexico, the successor of Mt. Rosie, a massive open world with lots of areas to explore.
Console/PC Game Pass players: the content of this update will be heading your way very soon.
New:
New Bike parks. Most are popular mods from mod.io integrated directly into the game (Aloda Lakes, Descenders Island, The Sanctuary, MegaPark, Kushmuck4x, Idarkopf). BikeOut 4 and New Lexico are two new and original maps made by us in collaboration with Spe (creator of Stoker Bike Park).
New bike types. The default Enduro bike can be changed to either a Hardtail or Downhill bike once you've obtained a sponsorship. You can change bike types in the Shed.
New bike physics. Different bikes will have their own physics. While the hardtail is made for flippy bois with it's agile lightweight frame, the downhill bike is a sturdy, heavy and fast mean machine!
New tricks. New tricks include the Tabletop, Superman Seatgrab, Barspin, Tailwhip and Tuck No Hander. Unfortunately to make room for these we had to say goodbye to the Candybar, we've built a memorial for it in Mt. Palumbo.
30+ New customization items to unlock in career mode.
Misc: - Lots of sound effects added to BikeOut obstacles. - Ambient sound added to all bike parks. - Bowl Cam added to camera perspectives. Gives a better overview while playing in bowls and bike parks. - Game client upgraded from x86 to x64. This should reduce the memory related crashes some people are experiencing.

Welcome to Descenders Mod of the Year 2020!
Once again we're looking to celebrate and reward the best Descenders mods with special prizes.
Here's how it's going to work this year:
1. Every Descenders mod uploaded to https://descenders.mod.io/ in 2020 and before the end of December 13 will be eligible to win a prizes. Check the Modding Guide on how to get involved: https://descenders.mod.io/guides
2. Vote on your favorite mods by giving them the THUMBS UP on mod.io!
3. On December 15, the Descenders team will pick their favorite mods, using community voting as a guide for which mods you like best.
4. On December 16, we'll announce the 5 best mods of 2020. The #5 and #4 will receive a Descenders game key, an item of choice and will be included in the MOTY 2020 leaderboard in the lobby. The top 3 modders will receive a Descenders game key, their respective Bronze, Silver and Gold kit and bike in-game, and will also included in the MOTY 2020 leaderboard.
5. The creator of the Best Descenders Mod of 2020 will receive a $100 Steam Gift Card, to spend on whichever games they like over Christmas!

Entries must be submitted in at least 720p.
Entries must be uploaded to streamable.com or YouTube and the link has to be submitted in #submissions on the Descenders Discord to be eligible.
The final deadline for entries is May 1st 2020.
The best 5 videos will be picked out by an expert panel (more info on who the experts are soon). After that, we will have the community vote on the video they like best!
