We've been overwhelmed by the reception of the 1.1.0 patch and we made sure for the past week to mainly fix some of the issues that were found. We're going to make sure to keep on uploading Hotfixes to make sure to clean up bugs as fast as possible while also improving User Experience and Performance!

Patch 1.1.0 is out!

We've been tirelessly working for the past few months to release patch 1.1.0, our biggest update yet.

There are tons of new features that are mentioned in the patch notes such as:

  • The Introduction of the new Area, with the King of Vengeance as its leader. A new mini bosses and multiple new encounters and what we're also very much excited about, the first Elite enemy of the game: The Dunestalker. A very interesting, tough fight but totally optional for extra rewards.
  • New and fun cards.
  • A much more robust tutorial.
  • The Introduction of a post-defeat Hub where the player will get to choose between multiple different fun perks for the next run. This massively changed the way we are playing the game!
  • Massive UI improvement.
  • Enhanced performance and a massive reduction in loading times.
  • Reskin of a lot of NPC and enemies, and most importantly, reskin of the main characters.
  • Complete card rework, we made sure to make them look better and much easier to read on smaller monitors.
  • Support for 2k and 4k resolution.
  • General bug fixes.

There are also many smaller features that you will probably notice. Our two highest priorities were to stick to our roadmap that we have previously established and to answer a lot of player feedback and concerns.

We will keep on working to always make the game better and your feedback was our number one motivator!

The next step would be to keep following the roadmap and post regular rolling updates.

Enjoy the game!

Happy new year everyone!

NEW Developer Update

Hello everyone!

We feel that it's a good time to share what we have been working on and how things are looking for the next major update in December.

We firstly want to thank everyone for great amount of feedback that we've been getting and this is really helping us shape Desert Revenant for the better!
We will keep pushing minor patches and hotfixes until 1.1.0 is ready mainly for bug fixing, game balance and quality of life / performance updates.

What we are currently working on:

Performance

We're working on improving the performance of the game as a whole when playing on low-end PCs and also reducing the "in-game" loading screen time.
We're also trying to make sure that patching Desert Revenant becomes faster overall.
These performance updates will be rolled throughout multiple patches to make sure that the game gradually performs better and better and especially on lower end PCs.
We are hoping that the entire performance will become substantially better by 1.1.0. And this work will obviously continue after 1.1.0.

New Player Experience

We're adding a much more robust tutorial to Desert Revenant, to make sure that the game feels more impactful at the beginning and will really help new players settle into the game. This will also help players get more in tune with the Lore of the game from the get go. Expect to also see improvements for the experience as a whole from the beginning till Victory or defeat before jumping into another run!

User Interface / User Experience

Great improvements are expected for the UI and the UX in general. We felt that there are more details that we can focus on to make many elements more clear and visible to players. We've already started to test some more improvements in battle and we're hoping that this will make tracking spells much better since the game is quite spell heavy and has tons of status effects!

Arena of Vengeance

New content of course! The major update will be the addition of an entire new map (Will be the third map so far). It will also be the first time where you can expect an optional Elite battle with plenty of awesome rewards!
There will obviously be new NPCs that will be able to offer their unique powerful cards, and many Storylines to enjoy and learn more about Elmyr.
Get ready for more challenging enemies and very engaging battles! We're currently making sure that the encounters are fun and unique, we definitely do not want repetitive combat / strategies implemented into the game so we're doing our best to make each encounter fun and unique.

So far, the progress has been great and we can't wait to release this major update in December!
We'll make sure to drop more Dev updates and also Stream more often.

We hope that you enjoyed this Developer update and thank you for reading it!

Desert Revenant Developer Live Stream.

We will be aiming to showcase some interesting and unusual combinations so that we can explore together the potential varieties that Desert Revenant has to offer when it comes to deckbuilding.

Desert Revenant Dev Stream today at 5:30 p.m GMT

We will be diving deep into the Leper's kit to attempt to beat the Jinn Kings!

A wide array of different and complex strategies will be used to really understand how the Leper functions and we will be here to answer all your questions.

Desert Revenant Roadmap

Hello everyone!

We'd like you to take a look at your official Desert Revenant roadmap where we highlight the release dates of the upcoming content to the game!
Adding a map and new playable characters can be quite challenging in a complex strategic game, but we are extremely committed in hitting all these milestones and add tons of new and exciting content.

Be sure that we will also keep updating the game as you may have already noticed, by adding several UI/UX, quality of life and Storyline updates. We are looking also at improving existing systems or even creating entirely new systems that fit our vision during this busy year.
