Changed default graphics settings to Medium when launching the game for the first time.
Update Version 0.1.1
Hi everyone!
Here are the changes in this update:
Fixed an issue where opening the notes menu would cancel certain animations.
Fixed an issue where attempting to fire a weapon while the player is grabbed by an enemy would sometimes result in firing a shot before the animation was completely finished.
Fixed a collider issue with one of the larger enemies.
Rebalanced the enemy attack cooldown system. This should make close quarters combat feel more dangerous.
Update Version 0.1.0
Hi everyone!
A little over 3 months ago I launched the initial alpha build of the game's demo. Today's update marks the game's transition into the beta phase!
Here are the changes in this release:
Added a unique grab animation for all enemies that ends with Anna breaking free or dying depending on how much health she has left. (Note: The boss does not have a “break-free” animation yet.)
Major optimization. (See benchmarks below.)
Added voices for when Anna gets hit by an enemy or dies.
Camera no longer collides with enemies. This makes it easier to navigate when being chased by enemies.
You can now examine some more environments in the Lounge (piano, billiard table) and Kitchen (food on table).
Adjusted lighting. Some areas were too dark, they are now brighter. Some areas were too bright, they are now darker. Areas that are intentionally meant to be extremely dark are unchanged.
Updated main menu background image to match new cover art.
Fixed an issue where some enemies that were at a lower height than the player may have been able to see the player through the floor.
Fixed an issue where some enemies were able to walk through doors.
Fixed an issue that was preventing the player from overwriting and deleting save files.
Update Version 0.0.9
Hi everyone!
This will likely be the last demo update for a while, since I'll be shifting focus back towards making the full version of the game.
Here are the changes in this release:
Added quick slots. The north, east, south, and west item in the inventory wheel can be used by pressing up, right, down, left on the D-pad, or 1, 2, 3, 4 on keyboard by default. You can also change the quick slot key bindings on keyboard.
Added HUD settings. Go to: Settings > Display > HUD to change between “Dynamic”, “Always On”, “Always Off”.
You can now use the mouse scroll wheel to equip the next/previous weapon in your inventory.
Added a sound effect when switching weapons and equipping/unequipping the kerosene lamp.
Made hair reflectiveness more natural.
Added a confirmation message when selecting “Quit to main menu” or “Quit to desktop”.
Some of the button prompts can now be clicked with a mouse as well.
Update Version 0.0.8
Here are the changes in this release:
Smarter enemy AI. Previously, if you ran out of the room and the enemy didn’t see exactly where you went next, they were likely to stop following you. Now they are a bit smarter and will continue exploring in the direction you were running in.
Doors can now be opened from a further distance and will open faster. This makes it easier to run between rooms without having to slow down as the door opens.
You can now choose between Xbox and DualSense button prompts when playing with a gamepad by going to: Settings > Controls > Gamepad button type. However, please note that the game does not officially support DualSense controllers.
Fixed an issue whereby enemies from Mansion 1F were able to spot the player in Mansion 2F through part of the floor.
Fixed a graphical issue with the storage box.
Minor optimization.
Update Version 0.0.7
Hi everyone!
The latest update brings with it a major performance boost, returning most of the performance lost after opening up the game world to allow enemies to move between rooms and doors to stay open. Here are some benchmark stats of the game's performance in the "Living Room" (the room immediately east of where you start the game).
