2.15 Released - 2.16 Underway

First off 2.15 was a bit of a bear but all finished. 2.16-2.18 Will be a few new menus, cockpit graphics, full hands on tutorial to make it easier for the new players, a few things like that. After the new graphics which shouldnt be to bad we will have a few a combo of expanded endgame options, language packs, and more new content.

-An issue with achievement notification and planet distress not displaying correctly when received while the player is offline has been fixed.
-Ships evasion updates will no longer be uselessly shared from the server to the owning client.
-Adjusted the per actor buffer size in order to easily bypass network issues for now.
-Added the possibility to disable collision on a UI element while retaining the ability to display hover info. This allow to select and scroll the guild list menu even when hovering above a planet count, and is used for hover display on jump map nodes.
Bugs From 2.14
- Corridor Pirates quest asks for a cargo drop there is no cargo drop quest can't be completed remove. Done
- Ryujin need removing from one node each side of Tacitus Station Done
- Guild Tax last 30 Days occasionally doesn't populate for any on other than Guild Leader. Fixed (Requires additional testing.)
- Rogue Pirates (Hunter 2) Quest still resets when you log. Could not reproduce, the quest does not reset when loging out, or when closing the server
- Occasional fatal errors when landing (cannot recreate, just happens). Fixed (Requires a whole lot of testing)
- Trade between Endy Station <--> Dysilica stuck on PA and CN respectively. The trade price are back to fully randomised.
- Corridor Pirates congregate at the node one left of Jen Cando.Corridor pirates do not reach the nodes next to Jen Cando anymore and two wrong linkage were found and fixed in the corridor area.
- When the server shuts down it doesn't save the PDC 'boosted' researches. Fixed (Requires a lot of testing especially for planets and satellites upgrades)
- If you get booted due to poor connection the client takes you to the home Login page, if you attempt to login you will be treated with a fatal error. Client has to be completely shut down and re-opened to prevent.
- Quick selling of items in hanger still randomly deselects the item causing ship to be sold. Still can't reproduce
- If you haven't completed the 'Create a Guild' or 'Rank up in Guild Quest' when your already the owner of a big guild you can never complete it. Quests deleted as part of 4.15
- Seems to be a half-second lag/ delay in opening the Galactic Map/ Jump Screen which increases slightly when logged in for a long duration. Done
- Jump Range not added to the new nodes attached to Helliathin. Fixed

2.15 is now testing prior to release.

2.14 Released! Lots of good stuff!!

Quick notes before the good stuff. Our main coder will be taking a week off from major code. So while we have 2.15 mostly mapped out, and will release that info, it will be a few weeks before that patch is up for testing. Shout out to all the testing help from the guys in Discord on 2.14. We are looking for player submissions for new specialty items that will be dropped from Ai. So feel free to create a post in Steam forum, or use the one at angryrabbitstudios.com to post your submissions. They will almost all make it in game. :)

- After disconnecting while in space, the player's ship now correctly stays there for 10 minutes and can be attacked by other ship. Potential damage taken or death is correctly take in account when the player reconnect. Damn 10 minutes thats brutal? Will lower that a little in the future. Dont CAD.

2.15 release info coming! Invite your friends get them in game, if you havent given us a review please do it helps us out a bunch. We will be pushing for a higher influx of new players in March.

2.14 Testing and Preview - Nee Patch Coming Soon!

Good evening pilots! Update news 2.14 is currently in testing I think we're on our 5th version of it and fixing things as quick as we can. The testers are doing a great job I would expect this update to be on the live server soon. Will post a final change list in tomorrow, we have added several things based on player feedback on the fly.

Few highlights are satellite distress signal that will send out when attacked. This upgrade will notify you in chat, and notifications when your sat is under attack, comes with a 15 minute cool down on the ability.

Traders UTD convoy is now in action. Two armed.convoys go near the corridor station, these baby's drop 2000-3000 in goods. But beware they are not a solo hit (ask the guys).

Details on the update tomorrow with a full patch list. As well as what's currently on the list for 2.15. you guys keep playing will keep upgrading and expanding!

Server Back Up and All's Well Reboot Fixed it go figure

So Azure had a big authentication outage a few days ago. And that was slowly it seems starting to hit us. We should have probably rebooted after they announced it fixed but we really didn't have much or an issue. Last 48-72 hours we had some weird login reports here and there very sporadic. Got really weird last night about 7 hours ago. I woke up to all sorts of crazyness so had the guys just reboot the server and everything is hunky dory.

Told them. Rule 1. Backup and reboot.

First off this weekend both on Saturday and Sunday we will be having a few fox hunt events, where some poor fella gets a prize put on his head and he runs for his dear life. :) should be lots of fun, and prizes abound.

Secondly can we get a round of applause for Mike our coder on those loading times getting into game? Talk about a little adjustment. 2.13 fixes some bugs from 2.12

Sorry about the issues with 2.12, we got on it as fast as we can and heres 2.13 hopefully nothing major or minor for bugs. We have adjusted the memory system and without weeks of testing we wont know 100% and we really needed to get the connection timeouts under control.

2.14 will be out in a few days will get a more exact time as we will need community assistance to test that on the test server.

2.12 Has some Bugs, we are rolling back to 2.11 Read Please

2.12 is vastly faster but we missed a few bugs so we are rolling back to 2.11 so there will be some connection issues while we fix this patch and re patch. Repatch will come later today.

Steam will auto revert after 10 minutes when we push it out there, your stand alone if you have it will work for the test server for anyone who wants to help test. If you want a copy i can PM you a test client.

New Patch Released! Please Read for window mode users!!!!!

Hey there we have pushed out a performance and connection adjustments patch. We needed to ge tthis patch out to fix a few things as well as lay some ground work for the other update we are currently working on. We are running a little behind as we had to make this one a priority.

Were hammering out the content and changes update, were still a day or so away, will give you guys more updates in the morning!
