Dimension Quest Pinball

Costumes Changes

Added unique trails to some of the password-locked costumes to add visual flair to the game. For those without passwords, fear not- later costumes added in chapter 4 will also have unique visuals!

A Frightening Finale!

At long last, Halloween's getting its true conclusion with Noxina's promised rematch!

+ To fit the Halloween theming, costumes have been entirely overhauled. Now special outfits have special health bars! For example, all retro outfits now have a sepia tone color scheme!

Halloween is Here!

The long awaited next event is here, and this time it's for Halloween! Rather than Valentine's more "traditional" approach to Pinball, Halloween aims to be more experimental than ever before!

Help Flash fight back against the undead to save Halloween and put old ghosts to rest, and make use of the powerful Teleburst! Upon activation, the Teleburst allows you to...

- Aim anywhere in a radius around Flash
- Teleport instantaneously, conserving all prior momentum
- Damage enemies in a large area around where Flash teleports

All for 1,500 points in the main game or free in the event itself!

Pre-Chapter 4 Update!

In preparation for Chapter 4's upcoming release, we've released a new wave of bug fixes, updates, and even something special.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

- Chapter 3 has been adjusted to be easier to navigate while still retaining the majority of its original intended difficulty.

- Paper Jadon's got a surprise waiting for anyone who enters Chapter 3! If you've already beaten the game, it's highly recommended that you replay Chapter 3 as Paper Jadon before Chapter 4 releases.

- Boss health bars will turn translucent when the player is near them.

- All bosses have a dynamic pop-in when reaching their arena.

- Zap Cottos are now twice as large to make hitting them easier.

MENU CHANGES

The entirety of the game's UI has been rebuilt from the ground up to be fully navigable using keyboard and controller, including a new in-game keyboard for the password menu! You can now freely adjust volume, change character costumes, and quit game without ever having to touch the mouse.

Speaking of adjusting volume, the options menu in both the main menu and the chapters themselves has been given a clean overhaul! Audio and resolution are now available universally instead of resolution settings being unique to the main menu, and are split across different sub-menus to avoid clutter.

Pause menu art for characters and bosses are a bit more stylish, and properly underlap the shadow around the edge of the screen.

BUG FIXES

- Removed a bug where the stock dialogue box was visible in time attack.
- Removed a bug where the plane in Chapter 3 would spin when landing in it.
- Removed a bug where David would speed up the timer in his boss fight.
- Cleaned up a dialogue error in Paper Jadon's interaction with David.
- Adjusted the flippers in the Grand Grass Stepper fight to work at full capacity.
- Fixed an error where the bubbles spawned by the Grand Splash Stepper wouldn't increase the player's combo when hit.
- Fixed a miscalculation that caused the boat to fall much faster than anticipated.
- Fixed Robot Jadon's chapter 2 time attack gold medal being set to 0 seconds.
- Removed an oversight where tabbing out would interrupt the Charles cinematic.
- Fixed Paper Jadon's surprise being available before it was unlocked.
- Fixed an oversight where the camera wouldn't follow you if you fell out the side of 3-6.
- Removed a bug where King Cotto's health bar wouldn't go away if you chose not to shoot him down.

Minor Fix

- Fixed Cottos firing electricity like Zap Cottos

- Fixed Valentines EX not registering progress correctly

- Adjusted the writing to be more concise

- Added elevator music when you tab out during any of the main chapters

Rewrites and Pause Updates

- Jadon's dialogue has been mostly rewritten to more accurately reflect the story being told with the latest version of the game
- All characters now have unique pause descriptions for each chapter
- The chapter 3 shooter segment now includes a text box explaining every character's super attack
- Fixed Robot Jadon using the wrong graphic in chapter 3's pause menu

Big Boss Balancing

To go alongside the remade boards, we've rebalanced a few bosses! Keep the following changes in mind next time you play through the game, and we hope you enjoy the upgraded chapters! We're working hard on Chapter 4, but with everything it's bringing to the table it may take quite some time. Be sure to check the official twitter for any updates or teasers!

[CHAPTER 1]
- The Grand Grass Stepper has been given a new arena. Falling down no longer requires you to climb back up. To compensate, his health has increased from 10 to 15. This change was due to fan feedback about the frustration involved with trying to climb back while being constantly hit by boulders.
- The arena shared by Mikenze and the tank has been adjusted slightly, the slopes on the bottom are steeper.

[CHAPTER 2]
- The Grand Splash Stepper has been moderately reworked. Rather than becoming fully invulnerable when spinning, she instead gains 60% armor and moves 100% faster while spinning. This was done in response to feedback by fans and the dev team finding the boss tedious due to how often they went invulnerable.
- Charles has been given a new clapping attack. This attack knocks the player away from him, but spawns a sand rock from the small island in the center, and this rock can be sent back at Charles to knock him out of his anger state! Much like the Grand Splash Stepper, this was done in response to feedback of the boss being far too difficult and tedious.

[CHAPTER 3]
- The helicopter moves very slightly slower, about 5%.
- David now has a new attack in the form of throwing a straight line of potions at the player. This was added due to the David fight being less dynamic than originally intended.

[BUG FIXES & ADJUSTMENTS]
- Fixed a common bug where skipping dialogue would sometimes leave the left side character face remaining until the next cutscene would occur
- Fixed a bug where a boss's health bar and pause screen would appear sooner than expected
- Added introduction cutscenes to the Grand Grass and Grand Splash Stepper minibosses
- Fixed a rare bug where David's right arm would be permanently stuck, preventing him from attacking with it

The Reduction Update!

April fools is done and so is Dragon Mode, but to make up for it we've done some behind the scenes work. Most of chapter 1 and some of chapter 2 has been redone to improve consistency, smoothen the difficulty of certain boards, and reduce the overall file size of the game dramatically!

- Changed 1-1 to have a more consistent plunger and slightly more room to move.
- Changed 1-2 to lower the top two steppers and provide provide visual consistency with other chapters. More changes coming with Chapter 4 around June.

- Changed 2-1 for greater consistency, players can now launch straight from the plunger into 2-2.
- Changed 2-2 to make the exit slightly wider for easier progress to 2-3. The board overall is also slightly wider.

- Added a new section for the main menu options. You can now set your game's target framerate to 30, 60, 90, 120, or as high as your computer can take it.

- Menu animations have been added for the sake of smoothness and making things less static overall.

- If you've unlocked Valentines, the bonus event is still active and will remain active indefinitely.

Time to go further beyond!

We're ditching those old squares and bringing in REAL power with dragon mode! Head into any chapter and test it out!

Minor EX Fix

- Updated Valentines EX to improve consistency
