"TRICERATOPS SPECIES PACK" - HUGE FREE UPDATE OUT NOW!
We proudly present the "Triceratops Species Pack" expansion to Dino Nest. This is a MAJOR free update with a herbivorous bonus content campaign added to the game and also a other exciting features, massive sharks, improvements, tweaks, optimizations and bug fixes. We hope for a smoother experience with faster progression and tons of high quality visual updates. To unlock the new bonus campaign just play to progress. Enjoy!
New playable species "Triceratops"
This addition to the game was decided by a community vote in 2022 for "next playable species" to be added to Dino Nest. The name "Triceratops" means three-horned face. Bearing a large bony frill and large horns on the skull as defensive weapons against predators triceratops is one of the most recognizable of all dinosaurs and one of the most popular. It shared the landscape with and was most likely preyed upon by Tyrannosaurus Rex.
New feature "Auto quick battles"
Auto resolve combat encounters function that should improve the gameplay for all carnivores in the game when out in the world.
New predator "Megalodon"
Megalodon meaning "big tooth" was a massive gigantic shark, regarded as one of the largest and most powerful predators to have ever lived. Their teeth are thick and robust, built for grabbing prey and breaking bone. Their large jaws exert a bite force that could challenge Spinosaurus or even Giganotosaurus. This shark has been added to all water areas in the game.
Recommended to start a new game
Older savefiles from previous versions should be compatible with this new version but we recommend everyone to start a new game for all the new features to work correctly. We always appreciate and try our best to apply any feedback given by you to make the game the best experience it can possibly be, so dont forget to leave any feedback you may have in the forums. Thanks for your support!

What about achievements?
As much as we wanted to have this out now we still encounter crash issues with the achievements build of the game. We had to release this content update without including the achievements. It has been a very busy couple of months for us, making the herbivore part turned out to be more challenging then we predicted. It is like making a new game within the game. Our priority was to launch the expansion and get the new content out stable and fully playable without any issues. We will now focus on maximum playtesting and roll out partial updates to the game before the Sarco expansion to get it up and running. We appreciate your patience as we go through this process of adding achievements to DIno Nest.
HUGE Free Update "Triceratops Species Pack" - May 5th
Triceratops Species Pack is the next upcoming major content expansion to Dino Nest. It will be out in two weeks on Friday May 5th and it will be free content together with the version 1.25 update to the basegame. This bonus content campaign is very different from the rest of the game. It adds new exciting gameplay options as a herbivore and also tons of improvements to all game systems, UI/UX, animations, textures, faster save/load systems and much more...
Free update on May 5th
We know that our plan in previous announcements was to launch this update on 28th April and it has now been moved one more week for extra polish and bugfixing. Our internal testing still have crash issues with the achievements build of the game, we are hoping to fix this before the release. If this does not get resolved before the launch we will roll out partial updates to the game before the Sarco expansion to get it up and running. Thanks for your patience!
A thirsty herbivore...
Is that a Megalodon??
A cozy nest on the plains...

Hello everyone! Today is a good day to finally announce the release date for the next DLC. It took abit longer then we would have wanted but we needed to make sure we could deliver the same high quality content as the rest of the game. It has been a very busy couple of months for us, making the herbivore part turned out to be more challenging then we predicted. It is like making a new game within the game.
We always try to be optimistic when it comes to our releases but this time the new content and features for the Triceratops required alot of rebuilding of core game systems, it was a lot of work and since the game is not in Early Access anymore means that extra polish, bug fixing, achievements and optimization have to be in place as well before launch. All of you deserve to know when the expansion will be released. So here it is. Official date.
EXPANSION DLC RELEASE DATE
Triceratops Species Pack will be available on 28th April 2023 and it will be free content as announced earlier. Herbivores path world campaign will have a new storyline that will introduce new gameplay in the world that will give meaning to exploring and leave a trail for the player to follow from a herbivores point of view. This expansion will have alot of new interesting content hidden on the island that are waiting for you to discover it.

One last thing...
A secondary team in our studio here in Sweden are currently working on a new game that will be released in 2 months here on Steam. If you like Dino Nest there is a big chance you might enjoy this game aswell. Tower Walker has the same Directors/Project leaders as Dino Nest. It is a new concept fresh from the same minds that came up with Dino Nest.
If that sounds interesting maybe you would like to check it out...

What's next for Dino Nest
Hey there! We are currently working to put in a playable herbivore in the next Major content update to Dino Nest (v1.25). Primary source of food will be a special fruit, mushroom, berries, grass or rare leafs (not decided yet). This is by popular demand one of the most requested things during Early Access that is not already in the game. The nest layout will be quite different and it will add a new dimension to the gameplay that we think will fit the game very well.
Vote for the next playable species in the game
Community feedback and suggestions are very important to us. It is time to hear what you think should be the next playable species in the game. You can also suggest a herbivore not on our list or a carnivore. All ideas are welcome!
Playable herbivore
1. Dodo
2. Pachycephalosaurus
3. Triceratops
4. Gallimimus
5. Paraceratherium
6. Brontosaurus

FULL RELEASE IS OUT!
The full release is finally here and we begin a new journey! This update is truly massive, and some of the features in it have been in the works for months. We hope you will enjoy the game as much as we enjoy making it.
We have now been working on Dino Nest for over 2 years and it shaped up to be a game that we are really proud of. To create this new kind of special survival management game has been a complex and sometimes very challenging creative process. Thank you for staying with us through this year of development, your feedback and amazing suggestions has helped us to get this game to where it is today.
Leaving Early Access is a big step forward for Dino Nest to be shown to a wider audience and it will help us to improve the game even more. Our plan going forward is to keep expanding with more features and content. There is huge potential for new unique gameplay that have not been touched yet that we strongly feel will fit the game perfectly. We are incredibly excited about the future!
Among other things, steam achievements will be added to the game in a future update (total of 46). But first we must make sure that the game is stable and well balanced with this huge rework of the difficulty challenge modes.
We recommend you to start a new game to fully enjoy the whole experience!
