As a result of this change, we will be granting the below rewards to all players who launch the game during Season 3:
We collected lots of feedback on challenges the Teleport Skill was causing in Ranked Multiplayer races in particular. We are making the below changes as a first step towards adjusting the skill.

RANKED & REGULATED MULTIPLAYER
• The correct MPR levels of Racers will now be shown in the Regulated Multiplayer race intro screen.
MENU/USER INTERFACE (UI)
We are now separating the Singleplayer and Multiplayer game modes into their own dedicated menus.

• This menu will contain the Starter Circuit, Season Tour & Limited Events game modes. • The Starter Circuit will move to the Settings menu once completed or if already completed.
MULTIPLAYER MENU
• This menu will contain the Ranked Multiplayer, Regulated Multiplayer, Private Track & Local Freeplay game modes.
SHOP

Get up to speed with all the new content arriving in Season 2 below and catch up with the additional improvements we made in our most recent Community Pit Stop.
4 NEW TOY STORY INSPIRED RACERS
Racers Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and Bo Peep are revving up their engines to take you on an exciting racing adventure in Season 2!
NEW RACETRACK – ANDY’S ROOM
Our 4 new Toy Story inspired Racers are ready to hit the track on the perfect combat racing playground of Andy's Room!
MID-SEASON RACERS
The iconic duo of Racers Steamboat Mickey and Steamboat Pete, inspired by the classic 1928 Disney animated short Steamboat Willie, are hitting the tracks in Disney Speedstorm.
These two bonus Racers will join the race in dedicated Time Limited Events during Season 2 but keep reading if you are eager to know more about their Unique Skills!
STEAMBOAT MICKEY
Racer Steamboat Mickey’s Unique Skilled is called “Happy Whistling”
Normal Activation: Steamboat Mickey spawns a musical note on the track for every Racer in front of him, including one note for himself. Steamboat Mickey or any other Racers for that matter, will receive a speed boost by passing through these notes. Charged Activation: Steamboat Mickey’s kart transforms into an actual steamboat and he will be invulnerable while his kart is in this form. The steamboat also leaves a trail of smoke and water behind it which obscures rival Racer’s screens and affects their handling.
STEAMBOAT PETE
Racer Steamboat Pete’s Unique Skill is called “Steamboat Wheel”
Normal Activation: Steamboat Pete launches a large steamboat wheel forward that will stun any rival Racers it hits. The wheel also leaves a trail of ink that will stun any rival racers unfortunate enough to cross its path!
Charged Activation: Steamboat Pete will start spinning the steamboat wheel around his head. Any rival racers he collides with will be stunned. The wheel also throws large ink blots ahead on the track that will stun any rival Racers who run into them.
NEW GAME MODES
Drift into two new game modes, Color Match and Follow the Leader.
In Color Match, all Racers and Skill Boxes will have a purple or green hue. Players will need to aim for Skill Boxes that match their current color while racing to reap rewards in this mode. Hitting a matching Skill Box will grant you a skill and a speed boost while hitting the wrong color will stun you.
Players will change color automatically every 30 seconds so don't switch off, and prepare to race strategically as you compete on the racetrack in this new mode!
In Follow the Leader, all Racers will leave a long visible slipstream trail behind them. Staying in another player’s slipstream will grant you a large amount of Manual Boost.
Pro Tip: Use the Cloak skill to hide your trail from other players.
That’s all of the new gameplay content coming to Disney Speedstorm Season 2! We can’t wait to see everyone out on the track!
Disney SpeedstormFounder’s Packs are now available worldwide. Founder’s Packs will grant you Early Access to Disney Speedstorm and, as a Founder, you will also receive exclusive bonus items to offer you a fresh and exciting experience geared specifically for racing.
Disney Speedstorm Community Pit Stop – Limited Events Update
Hey SpeedStars!
Disney Speedstorm’s second season “To Infinity And Beyond!” inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story is approaching fast but that hasn’t slowed down Arbee! She’s been burning the virtual midnight oil to make some improvements to Limited Events based on Community feedback.
RACER CLASS PIT STOP LIMITED EVENTS
These improvements will progressively appear in-game starting from June 9.
Previously, we had a Limited Event dedicated to earning Upgrade Parts for one of the 4 Racer Classes, Brawler, Speedster, Trickster & Defender, that rotated each week. This meant that players would need to wait for the rotation to complete if they wanted to earn Upgrade Parts for a specific Racer Class.
To remove this rotation and to make the rewards from Racer Class Pit Stop Limited Events accessible each time players jump in to play the game, we decided to shift things to allow players to earn these Racer Class rewards in the 3 existing “Featured Upgrade Parts” Limited Events.
Players will still have access to the same number of rewards, but now they will always be accessible.
MONSTERS, INC. UPGRADE PARTS LIMITED EVENT
With the start of Season 2 on June 13, there will be a brand-new Limited Event focused on Upgrade Parts for the Monsters, Inc. Collection. With the Season Tour shifting gears, don’t worry, you’ll still have the chance to upgrade your Monsters, Inc. Racers!
That’s it for this Community Pit Stop! The Game Team would like to thank everyone who provides feedback to help us take Disney Speedstorm to the next level during Early Access. Make sure to check out the other improvements coming in Season 2 in the last edition of the Disney Speedstorm Community Pit Stop.

Arbee has been hard at work tinkering on the tracks and more, based on Community Feedback and we’re excited to outline all of the improvements and fixes that will go live alongside Season 2 on June 13.
Join us in the pit stall as we share an early look at some adjustments to Menus/UI, Game Modes, Controls and general bug fixes below!
MENU/USER INTERFACE (UI)
GENERAL
The “Edit Racer” button on the main menu will now open a Racer selection menu so players can choose exactly which Racer to edit rather than just their last played Racer.
The last unlocked Racer selected in the Collections tab will now be the Racer displayed upon returning to the main menu.
If a player is about to begin a race with a Racer with an empty Crew slot and a Crew member available, a reminder will be given to fill the slot before starting.
SEASON TOUR MYSTERY NODES
A Season Tour Chapter will now not be marked as complete until all of the rewards from that chapter’s Mystery Box have been earned.
Fixed an issue causing Mystery Race Nodes to appear in their “complete” state before all of their associated Mystery Box rewards had been earned.
Mystery Race Nodes will now display exactly how long you need to wait to attempt them again.
We remind players that mystery Race Nodes can be attempted twice per day with a total of 20 rewards available to unlock from the Mystery Box.
SEASON TOUR
Weekly Missions are now called “Season Missions”.
New Season Missions appear each week and can be completed over the course of the entire season.
We have added a shortcut button to each Chapter of the Season Tour to allow players to more easily check their Season Missions progress.
LIMITED EVENTS
Limited Event tiles will no longer display a timer until revealed.
Limited Event tiles will now be marked as completed once all objectives have been completed.
An animation has been added to better indicate when Season Coins are earned for revealing new Limited Event tiles.
Limited Event objective visuals have been improved to make tracking progress easier.
Difficulty levels have been removed from Limited Event objective visuals.
Fixed an issue causing Limited Event objectives to appear out of order when adjusting the difficulty level.
INVENTORY
Players are now reminded of how many Golden Pass Credits they have remaining when purchasing the Golden Pass from the Shop.
Player’s Multiplayer Coins inventory is now only viewable while in the Shop.
GOLDEN PASS
When opening the Golden Pass tab, the focus will now always be on the current rewards tier of the player.
GAME MODES
RANKED & REGULATED MULTIPLAYER
CPU Racers in Ranked Multiplayer will now target real player Racers less often.
Fixed issue causing some Racers to appear as if they had finished a race after 1 lap.
The Flying Objects race type will now appear in Ranked & Regulated Multiplayer races.
LOCAL FREEPLAY
Your Local Freeplay Racer selection settings and race rule settings will now be maintained between sessions.
CONTROLS
Haptic Feedback (Vibration/Rumble) Support is now available for Xbox and PC.
New players will now receive a prompt to help them better understand how Assisted Steering works and allow them to enable this setting.
RACETRACKS
Respawns have been improved when players fall off rails.
GENERAL
Fixed issue causing FPS drops when accessing the Shop on some platforms.
Xbox One players will see improvements to FPS during periods of high action.
PS+ Rewards will no longer appear as locked when linking multiple accounts.
The full reward animation will now only be displayed when opening Boxes or claiming Golden Pass rewards.
Disney Speedstorm Season 2 – To Infinity And Beyond
Disney Speedstorm’s Toy Story inspired Season 2 “To Infinity And Beyond” launches on June 13.
Some highlights for what to expect with this next update include:
New racers from Pixar’s Toy Story are revving their engines this Season with the arrival of some familiar favorites. Get into the race with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Bo Peep, and Jessie, as they bring a new level of competition to the game along with a new racing environment based on Andy’s Room from the Toy Story films.

Disney Speedstorm Community Pit Stop – Ranked Multiplayer Update
Hey SpeedStars!
We’ve got a short but sweet Community Pit Stop for you today!
Today we’re focusing solely on some improvements we’ve made to the Ranked Multiplayer progression and score system. We’re always listening to feedback from the Community and want to acknowledge challenges players have experienced when progressing up the leagues. Thanks to your responses we have made some adjustments to address this as much as possible.
These changes will come into effect later this week.
Before diving into the changes, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind players that the CPU Racers are completely excluded when calculating the score distribution at the end of races in Ranked or Regulated Multiplayer. CPU Racers are indicated by an Arbee icon next to their in-game username.
MORE GENEROUS SYSTEM OVERALL
Players will now earn more score points per race on average across all leagues. We have increased the number of points earned for performing well while simultaneously reducing the number of score points lost when finishing in lower positions. Losing score points when finishing in lower positions has been completely removed from the lower leagues as detailed below.
BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD LEAGUES
Players will no longer lose any score points in the Bronze, Silver & Gold leagues, regardless of which position they finish in. As long as you complete the race, you will receive some score points to help you progress more easily in the lower leagues. This change will allow players to reach the Platinum league, easier and faster.
PLATINUM LEAGUE & ABOVE.
Starting in Platinum league and above, players will still lose score points for finishing in lower positions, but the amount lost has been reduced. The number of score points you earn for finishing in higher positions has also been increased, particularly in the highest leagues. It gets progressively more challenging as you progress through the higher leagues, but you should see a significant improvement in your progress speed if you maintain a positive win ratio.
That’s everything in this edition of the Community Pit Stop! These changes should result in less twists and turns on the road to Ultimate Champion so hop back into Ranked Multiplayer to claim those bragging rights!
Arbee has been hard at work implementing all the community’s amazingly useful feedback to make tweaks to take Disney Speedstorm to the next level!
The Game Team is committed to improving the game based on Community feedback during Early Access, so please continue to provide feedback and report issues on our official Discord server. The full list of changes included in this Hotfix are listed below:
RACER BALANCING
MIKE WAZOWSKI
Normal Activation of the “Hold The Door” Unique Skill will now spawn 1 door instead of 2. Charged Activation will still spawn 2 doors.
The distance players are teleported by doors in both directions has been reduced by 10%.
Doors will now disappear after 10 seconds. (Down from 20 seconds)
SULLEY
The Area of Effect (AOE) of the “Fearsome Roar” Unique Skill has been increased, making it easier to stun rival Racers.
The effect “Fearsome Roar” has on rival Racers has been changed from a long stun to a shorter stun and now has knock back.
Activating “Fearsome Roar” will now refill Sulley’s Manual Boost Bar whether rival Racers have been stunned or not.
Additional Manual Boost is now received by Sulley for each rival Racer stunned by “Fearsome Roar”.
