Today like yesterday, time is present, but let's start the interview.

Let's jump in the topic, it's been a while since no update has been released. Conspiracy from the multinationals or forsaking on your side?

-Firstly a new Cyberdevelopper "Pierre Albertucci" joined us on the game, and with his help we can attain a lot more and with a new vision. As Heins the famous Wanderer of Sector 3 would say -a fresh wind on the acid stench... of the city... of course... Mr police officer...

-Be careful, no sponsored advertisement here, we are on a freedom free channel, don't forget it.

-I'm sorry. Anyway since we enlarged the universe -and for those who have already played the game, we promise a lot of things have changed- you won't recognize the game, and be reassured, nothing has been deleted, only improved and rearranged. After a few levels, you will be able to freely wander in Sector 3, and explore the neighborhood without any risk of being killed or worst...

-Yes, except in case of hacking of course, and this is why there is braiNet, but please continue.

-Ahem yes, remember in the bonus section, this tiny piece of city that was offered. Well, it has grown a lot... We lost 300 scan bots to recreate a part of Sector 3. Bloody gangers... And about the rest of the game, the third person phases are still here but with a new camera system that should be a lot more comfortable and less dangerous for your limbs.

We listened to all your comments and bug feedbacks, and overhall we've worked successfully on most of them. And without breaking too many bots, except for the 300. Also the gameplay on every game modes has been fixed and improved...

-This is all well and good, but the show is coming to an end. Your last word, supported by braiNet: what the doctor doesn't dare to do, we do!

-Well right now we are focusing on the last touches on the levels, and finishing the city. 100% of the data collected by the bots have been retrieved and our teams have already starting integrating the smell of the city and some other bonuses.

Sorry it took so long, we've been taking a small break releasing our new small adventure, Lord Darydikilkil and a new dev joined the team on the same occasion! We never stoped working on Doll City, though, and we are working extra rounds to release the update in a few days.

To thank you for your patience, we've decided to gift Lord Darydikilkil to every Doll City early adopter, because you guys deserve it and we love you. It should now appear in your Steam library.

Hello fellow Doll citizens !

First, we would like to thank you warmly for buying the game while it's still in early access, it means a lot to us. Your comments, constructive criticism and videos help greatly in our process of improving the game until the final release.

Where are we now  ?

Well, at this stage of development, it's important to keep you informed about Doll City. We are a very small team (4 developers), and sometimes it's hard to keep up and answer every question, and english not being our primary language, communicating on a regular basis isn't as easy as we'd like. We plan to relase the final version before the end of 2016, and everything should go as planned.

Who's behind Doll City  ?

We are video game players and VR fan's, and we wanted our first game to include everything we appreciate in both VR and gaming. Of course, we don't have as much resources as a major game company, but we've got experience, love and passion  ! We already spent countless hours developing the game, as we've got much more time than money (Valve or CD Projekt, if you can hear us and want to invest on a VR project, we're open to discussion!^^)

Ok, but what's the game about  ?

Different kinds of gameplay, with a nice replayability wether you choose to play first or third person. A handcrafted acidpunk universe in which the story unfolds through comic book pages (gotta catch them all!), and an original soundtrack for your hears only  !
As we stated before, we LOVE video games, and are well aware of the improvements Doll City needs to meet our quality criterias. We still need to work hard on gameplay elements, Shooter mode being reworked from scratch and constant improvement are made on the roomscale levels. Although we want the players to explore Doll City and take their time to unveil its darkest secrets, we also want the gameplay to be intuitive and easy to master by including tutorial levels and fine tuning the controls. 
Wether you will be using a gamepad or a Vive controller, the experience should be satisfying and highly responsive. An ingame menu is also in the works as well as a brand new level selection room.

What will change in the final version  ?

More levels and chapters, of course. Early access levels will also have lots of changes and improvements, and the storyline will be unveiled by inserting new chapters and cinematics. There will be a total of 20 chapters for each game mode, and also bonus areas and surprises  !
The experience will be drastically different if you choose to play with the gamepad or the Vive controllers. Third person mode will be very different and intense, with new enemies and gameplay elements. A new camera mode is also in the works. First person will be more based on exploration, with the addition of the storyline and some puzzle elements.
The new tutorial levels will help new players prepare themselves to they journey into Doll City.

When will it be finally released, and what VR headsets will be supported  ?

We are planning a mid december release, for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and OSVR (as well as any forthcoming Steam VR compatible hmds).
The original soundtrack will also be available.
For a better experience we'd avise to have at least a GTX 970 GPU.

Good news everyone!
Sorry for the lack of recent updates, but we've been very busy working on core game mechanics and making drastic changes to the 3rd person gameplay and to the user interface. We will show you these changes in a short video very soon, so keep in tune!

HTC Vive roomscale mode & controllers are now supported!

The long wait is finally over! Doll City: Prologue now has a full HTC Vive support, taking advantage of roomscale and motion controllers, bringing drastic changes in gameplay and aesthetics.

Some general improvements have also been made.

What's new:

- 5 levels now have roomscale support. We will add more roomscale levels with every new update until the final version.

- New tutorial levels for seated and roomscale modes.

- The hub level has been remade.

- Various bugs have been fixed, and we made some improvements on several aspects of the game.


We heard your comments, and we are working very hard on making Doll City a unique game and a mind blowing VR experience.

First update! Teleport mode & 4 bonus levels.

Hello and thanks again for supporting our project. We are a small team of 4 VR adventurers doing our best to bring you a beautiful and immersive VR experience.

First of all, we want to reassure you again: the game will support Vive controllers and roomscale, we will start bringing these features on the next update, due for release next weekend if everything goes as planned!
Anyway, we heard all your requests and feedback, and here is the first update:

- A new teleportation system for seated mode (RB to teleport and LB to orient teleportation).

- Added a room between levels 0 and 1 as a narrative arc (includes a video).

- Some texts in levels 0 and 1 heve been fixed and now display properly.

- Added 4 new rooms in the bonus part (including some rooms from the demo)

- Fixed some bugs and rewrote some instructions.
Notes:

- Teleportation is active for most levels but not for the platformer ones, as it would make them lose all interest.

- Roomscale version of these levels will have a teleportation system that doesn't break the platforming aspect.

The people of VR have spoken :)

Good news everyone!

Tomorrow we will release an update. We have included a teleport feature for seated mode to improve comfort and allow players sensitive to motion sickness to have longer game sessions. We have also included some bonus levels and fixed some bugs.

In the following update (sometime this week), HTC Vive motion controllers will also be supported. Some levels had to be reworked to take full advantage of roomscale, and we're working hard to bring you the full experience you deserve!
