After a long holiday break, we are back with some interesting news, incoming features, more story content and QoL improvements!
But first, a bit of a recap!
2022 has been a year full of ideas, changes and discoveries for us and for Doom&Destiny Worlds.
First of all, in case you missed it, the game is now available on Mobile too, so why not keep on farming while you're on the porcelain throne?

The game grew significantly, we added different modifiers such as Randomicity for islands, Iron Nerd "hardcore" mode and the overwhelmingly appreciated Classic Mode, which brings back mana and HP in battle, with a more classic approach.
We got you more quests and quests givers with the Fantastic Quests DLC, a secret quest involving magic stones, magic keys and magic bosses to defeat and new mobs and enemies to fight while exploring.
With so much stuff to keep an eye on, we thought you could use a Quest Reminder, so we made that too!

But now, time to introduce you to the NEW STUFF we're working on!



First of all, you asked and asked and asked, and now you'll have it: we're adding a Repair system to the game. Just craft some Repair Kits and use them to bring back to life your beloved Stone Axe (or whatever you want).

We're preparing a new seasonal event, based on the Italian Carnival in which you will be asked to bring puppets in exchange of various unique items (even a special, Italian boat...mamma mia!)

After that get ready to some sweet end-game content, with new quests, new battles and even new characters. This is going to take a while, but we are working hard to deliver as soon as possible!

And we're getting ready for a release on consoles, praying the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

Oh, and one last thing...
Without too much spoilers, let's say that there's something FISHY on the horizon...

Update 17242, introducing the "Treasure Clues"

even if another year is coming to an end, our efforts to improve the game never end ːnerdcannonː



We are releasing a HUUUGE changelog featuring all the latest improvements.

Let's cut to the chase and let's go what's new!

Update 17242 changes:


NEW changes


  • Added treasure maps to monster drops
  • Added quest reminder icons to the map
  • Added 'fill with' option, you can now fill a chest with a certain kind of item
  • Hot Dropoff in the 'fill with' option, fills using the same items that are already in chest
  • Mobile: you can now open the inventory tapping on the hero face on the quickbar
  • Now fighting in the dark gives the 'hidden' status, boosting evasion and critical rates.
  • Virtual Keyboard: added possibility to wrap from right to left
  • You can now move while swinging your tool. So when mining through tick walls you don't need to release the action button.
  • Now enemies will sometimes sleep at night. Slip between them to avoid the fight, or get them unprepared for a considerable advantage in the first turns.
  • Virtual Keyboard: added hotkey hints for gamepad
  • Advise players if they have to download some content from cloud, so they can skip or download only some of their saved games.
  • Android TV, added low frame rate compensation if the frame rate is 35 fps or lower.
  • Android TV, now the game uses desktopconsole type of UI, so buttons and Interface elements are no longer blurry or oversized for a television.
  • Rebalance: In Classic mode + Survival the Critical Plus from certain food items is 2x now
  • Rebalance: now an hit chance > 100 will decrease the enemy evasion rate. A negative evasion rate will increase the hit chance.
  • Tweak: Added command to fill chest from empty slot in bag
  • Tweak: Added message when I try to open building mode without any placeable item
  • Tweak: Now if you press cancel in the 'insert-email' part of the error prompt, the error report goes forward with an empty email reference.
  • Tweak: Now the text length limitation on a keyboard is applied before the character is shown to the player, not after a few milliseconds after stopping typing
  • Tweak: Added on Android error message if space on disk is low. At least 10 MB are required.
  • Tweak: Added possibility to navigate option tabs with QW or L/R.

Fixes


  • Fixed an issue that caused 3x and 2x random powers to land on defeated enemies.
  • Fixed: 'Spliting' with the hotkeyshortcut CTRL-A/LT-X doesn't work on chest slots
  • Fixed: a bug when quickly crafting tracked items, that allowed for other items to be crafted instead.
  • Fixed: a bug with the anti-stuck system added in the last patch for the boats, that was causing teleportation or other unwanted behaviour.
  • Fixed: After I open marker list in map, cursor doesn't move anymore
  • Fixed: Boat glitches when I move against edges and I change direction
  • Fixed: bug that caused some islands to lose all information about daynight or climatic/progress informations. Island informations that were bugged are reverted to standard values.
  • Fixed: Certain effects or part of effects were not translated and kept in english language.
  • Fixed: CLASSIC and SURVIVAL, if I suffer hunger and thirst and I heal them mana is not more curable.
  • Fixed: Coins in window message are outside screen

  • Fixed: if I have a weapon in the bag's first slot and I use touch or mouse to activate detail statistics even if slot 1 is no more selected I see the effect of the weapon in the preview
  • Fixed: If I interact with farm animal while they sleep I attack them
  • Fixed: If I order pressing X or using choice 'sort' while cursor is on a chest, cursor shift on the first slot of inventory
  • Fixed: If I press left trigger + X in crafting I overlap the two messages below
  • Fixed: If I refresh the game after obtaining a new recipe or item (with window acquired open) the game is blocked
  • Fixed: in Android Virtual controller visible if I click load on a game
  • Fixed: In classic if I start the battle and I press ok on 'fight', I hear sound of confirm, but sometimes nothing happens. Sometimes the access to next window is quickly canceled, going back to fightescape window

In the last update, we forgot to talk about one very colorful new feature: CUSTOMIZABLE WINDOW COLORS!





Nothing major, but after the "night interface" experiment we said "why we don't let the player decide what color the interface should have" ːcluckcluckcluckː

And while you enjoy the game with custom made windows colors, you'll also be able to unlock Steam trading cards, backgrounds, emoticons and BADGES!

Classic, a FREE DLC is OUT NOW!

we are very happy to announce the CLASSIC DLC!

This new game mode rebalances the whole game, removing the Stamina Points (SP) mechanic and introducing the more classic and straight forward HP & MP system, inspired by the first Doom & Destiny!

Armors will increase you Hit Points pool while all your powers will use Mana Points. Gone is the regeneration each turn, so be ready to manage your HP & MP between each combat!



This expansion also allows you to discover during any of your playthrough 5 new shield and 2 new potions!

Update 16970, introducing the "Quest Reminder"

Here we are, bringing you the "Quest Reminder" to the game!
Open worlds can be a little bit too open, leaving someone stranded or lost, especially in the early phase of the game. With the Quest Reminders, you'll be reminded (of course) of what is your current quest everytime you start the game or sleep at a fireplace. On top of that, you can take a quick look at your active quest just opening the map. The quest name will be displayed in the bottom left corner of your screen.



This is an early implementation and it will be subject to changes and improvements! So feel free to let us know if something's wrong or not in the right place!

Inspired by the halloween mood of the season, we are releasing a content update, along with some always nice bug fixes, focused on the NIGHT ːfsmː

The nights aren't always the same, some are darker, some are spookier, some are just ordinary nights, but one thing they all have in common: MONSTER CAN FALL ASLEEP & your interface is bluer...

  • Now during the Halloween seasonal event the nights are dark and a thick fog will fill the screen. Bring extra lights or sleep at a campfire to wake up the following morning.

We are back, after a while, with a big update featuring, as always, many improvements and bug-fixes ːMikeAdvː

But a bug fix isn't as exciting as some of the new changes like the Explosive and Flammable Charges ːminernukeː

You can purchase the blue print from the best master of Mana himself: Master Atoi.
The charges are still a bit unstable, but the results made us giggles and we decided to add them anyway, hoping to NOT destroy the game (or at least, break it in a funny way) ːfsmː





We are also making the world prettier with different water colors, darker or brighter nights, helping the playability adding a higher stack for resources and increasing the tools durability.

Changes


  • New "demolition charges" and "flaming charges" can be purchased from Master Atoi.
  • New! Now every 4 days you get a darker night and then after another 4 days a brighter night.
  • Doubled the stack capacity of many items, like raw and refined resources.
  • Increased the durability of all basic tools of 50%.
  • Now the color of water can change between islands, giving a more distinct look to certain islands.
  • New! Now you can track your achievements, just click them in the Achievement window from the inventory options.
  • Mobile, Added: you can now drag an item on a bag or an actor slot.

  • Solved: Drag & Drop, if I have an open chest, if I drag any item from container's slot, outside window, other window is selected, so if I drop the item it is thrown, but it isn't removed from inventory.
  • Solved: Dragging the item on a not existing slot of the bag, the cursor appear in that slot
  • Solved: If I drag any item between two bags the number of animation is equal to the number of slot that contain that item.
  • Solved: I put an item in a bag, then in the same actor that have it, bag in slot 0 shift in slot 1 (item is added in that bag).
  • Improved the preview of the items representing blocks, when being moved in the inventory.
