Watch out for the Guards Towers
Added brand new rooms on the Desert level including the Guard Towers.
Added the QOL Save and Quit mechanic. Now after defeating a boss you can decide to temporarily interrupt your run, save and then play it again whenever you want!

Gamescom 2019

We’ve only gone and set up a brand new HyperParasite Wiki thanks to our friends over at GamePedia.

Hey guys, we've dragged ourselves from the moshpit, jumped back into the Gundillac, put the pedal to the metal and thought we’d update you on the happenings from the road to hell!
If you follow our social media, you may have seen that we're revealing more tracks that are being added to Double Kick Heroes and we couldn't be more thrilled to finally share a deep, dark secret we've had for quite some time now.

We promised you all in the last newsletter some very cool metal, and so, earlier in the week we unveiled "Demon Demon" by the Fundamental Wisdom of Chaos and "Prepare to Meet Thy Doom" by Elmobo! Yesterday we released “Flesh and Bones” feat Benjamin Guerry from The Great Old Ones!

Going Rogue down Fury Road and ass-kicking challenges. Let's talk updates...
In our most recent update, we've added some rocking new features - including an "Auto Steering" and "Chill Mode", the latter allowing players to experience the game with none of the threats, but all of the melodious moshing metal!
For those of you looking for a bit more of an ass kicking challenge, we've also added the "Fury Road", where players enter the fury road and battle levels in the “endless torment”. There's also the “daily fury” that allows for modification of Sheila and your weapons, gain perks and loop the game. Can you handle the fury? For anyone curious, a full comprehensive patch log is below which details what we’ve added to the game!

We’ve got a ton to get through, including of course the fact that HyperParasite is 25% off right now as part of the Steam Summer Sale. It’s been a long time since our latest love letter… if you followed our social media, you may know why but let’s sum up the latest news!
Nintendo Switch!
We are so so so thrilled about that!
Double Kick Heroes is coming to the Nintendo Switch! We partnered with Nintendo to announce the game will come to this incredible console. We also revealed one of our future Hellgate’s host, the amazing GOJIRA. Controls are not finalized, we’ll make sure to test it a lot and display it in conventions so you can make your own minds.

Chapter 6 is coming!
We worked a lot on chapter 6, the bosses are done, the levels are ready, we are tinkering everything and polishing. The story is now complete and we are very eager to show it to you.
Spoiler : PAIN, THERE WILL BE PAIN ( stay safe and take breaks though, we love y’all! )

The next version is still TBA but expect an update in a few weeks, we are waiting for the final vocal masters to release it.
Quality Of Life
As you may know, our ingame editor and roguelike mode are still lagging behind, feature-wise... because we had to finish the core game. It took us MUCH MUCH more time than expected...well let’s say Elmobo was super generous and the new songs are long and dense. No regret.🤘
In March when core content is finalised, we will distribute quality of life patches for these modes, no worries.
This means :
Chapter 6 & Final release
As you may have understood, the game will be fully released on PC after the Switch version for reasons you may guess ( otherwise don’t hesitate to come to discord, we’ll explain ).
It doesn’t mean you don’t get to try the latest chapters... In a few weeks we will open a very special Beta for you to try the full game. So no worry if you cannot wait, we got you covered with a cool solution :)
In the meantime the PC game will receive quality of life improvements and new hellgate packs.

The Malevolent Mobula and its cohort of evil minions are on the path of the Double Kick Heroes. In this chapter 5, they’re entering Transylvania and trying to bring an end to the evil in this world! They’ll meet Jake and Cage.
As they progress through Transylvania, they will meet new types of evil minions. More evil means more METAL in their faces!
These 4 new levels include a boss level with the malevolent Dracula, also called “cute cat baby” by Man Hellsing.
“NO MORE HEROES” FEATURING
We met Suda51 and the team of Grasshopper Manufacture during Pax East. Fun story: we didn’t know it was him until he offered to get Double Kick Heroes as a t-shirt in No More Heroes! All the team was super excited and we were honored to be added into the game. Here’s the picture they recently showcased:

The HeadBang Club was awarded for the Double Kick Heroes soundtrack at the Ping Award ceremony, celebrating the best french games of the year!
We won the Best Indie Audio and mostly Best Audio awards, despite being confronted to the AAA french productions like Detroit: Become human, Vampyr & Life is strange 2!
These Awards are an acomplishment for our composer Frédéric 'Elmobo" Motte since he has written more than 100 game OSTs and produce over 50 Metal bands!
