Tonight we've got a small update, just in time for the 25th weekly cup, which is set to commence in just over 3 hours from this post!

Additions and Improvements

  • Rebalanced gun inertia (gun sway) when standing, walking, and crouching
  • Increased gunshot sound range
  • Decreased combat knife spawn rate in low residential spawners
  • Typing in chat will now no longer make your character play a running animation


Bug fixes

  • Fixed step sounds sounding out to 500m
  • Fixed the Play Dead perk
  • Fixed VOIP volume not working

Update 0.6.3 - Doctor, Doctor!

Today's update introduces the Blood Bag, sees some changes to the playable area, AI, and more!

Additions and Improvements

  • Added the Blood Bag
    - The Blood Bag is a rare medical item that can be used to restore a large portion of health, although takes quite a while to apply - be careful you're in cover when using it!
  • Increased late-join time cutoff to 4 minutes after a round has started
  • The playable area will now start earlier if there is less people in a round
  • Antivenom perk now prevents dehydration from snake bites as well as health damage
  • Added new "Guard Tower" military spawner type, which makes guard towers more likely to spawn primary weapons


Bug fixes

  • More AI pathfinding fixes and tweaks
  • Fixed bush sounds
  • Fixed an issue with First Person shadows resetting after the first person on the server had died
  • Fixed invisible gun shadows caused by SSAO (in theory, let us know how this goes)
  • Fixed silent step perk
  • Fixed server browser

Update 0.6.2 - Flare Up


Hey Everyone,



Tonight we're keeping up the pace with our second update since Friday. Tonight's patch fixes quite a few bugs, and also adds in some neat additions.

Additions and Improvements

  • Improved firing to reduce gunfight lag and decrease network bandwidth
  • Mines now have a blinking flare, making them easier to spot
  • Increased audible range of silenced L96
  • Decreased bush rustle noise
  • Increased vertical recoil on the MK16
  • Thirst and hunger damage no longer occurs after a weird 10 second delay if you've already restored your hunger/thirst


Bug fixes

  • Actually fixed 1-handed melee weapons attack speed
  • Fixed more sound related bugs
  • Fixed MK16 "Gangsta" holding
  • Fixed the global Game Joining sound
  • Fixed eye adaptation not working
  • Fixed perks applying to -5 if you'd chosen two 15 point perks (thanks Foo)
  • Fixed bandages not giving any health back
  • More secondary server browser fixes
  • Fixed a bug which could cause practice servers to never end

Weekly Cup 24 and Update 0.6.1 - Pit Stop

Tonight we've got a quick patch with a bunch of fixes from last nights update, all just in time for tonights weekly cup.

Additions and Improvements

  • Created new "Backup" Master Server system - this is what Down To One will default to if the main Master Server is having issues.
    -Right now, a bug in the new version of our networking middleware, Bolt, is causing some issues related to the server list not popping up, so this backup server system will populate by default
  • The Message of the Day popup now appears for a longer time, and the time it appears can now be edited without a patch


Bug fixes

  • Fixed 1-handed melee weapons attack speed
  • Fixed sounds playing globally
  • Fixed "You are Starving/Dehydrated" messages still showing up after death
  • Fixed Helicopter rendering bug
  • Fixed desaturation effect sometimes not applying in spectator mode
  • Fixed vignette effect incorrectly applying in spectator mode
  • Fixed ADS-eating/drinking bug
  • Decreased GPU memory usage
