End of Life for Draken

Hello everyone.

Despite my endeavors, unfortunately we have decided to end the development of Draken.

There are several reasons behind this.

  • The experimental nature of the game was not well received.
  • We have been battling with an in game mechanic that relied on an external plugin that has a bug that can't be fixed and hence cause crashed randomly
  • Development speed has slowed down while we were trying to fix this issue and could not meet progression expectations.


I have been trying for the the past few months to fix the crash issue but I have come to a realization that this would require a massive rewrite of the game or a complete removal of physics based animations system. Both options which surely will take months to do.

So, we are announcing the retirement of Draken completely.

All purchasers of Draken, thank you for your support, will be able to request a full Steam refund regardless of your playtime.

Early Access Build 5.1 Released!

Now, to share more information about the status of melee rework, I would like to say that the general direction of the rework is to change the melee combat into a faster paced, more dynamic and most importantly reactive combat. It is less physically accurate, but I think gameplay comes first here.

For this to happen, many aspects of the existing melee system had to be redesigned from scratch and while some parts are completely new, some old codes remain and will be replaced with the new system over the next few patches. All in all, melee combat rework is not done yet as it requires both feedback and minor adjustments, but I think the big trunk of the work is done.

It also raised the initial difficulty until you obtain a gun but leaves many tactics open due to the introduction of critical damages, and style changes. The importance of medical supplies have increased and its effects may be buffed soon. We will give it some time for the dust to settle before we make further changes.

  • Global sleep usage rate decreased by 30%.
  • Global thirst usage rate decreased by 32%.
  • Global hunger usage rate decreased by 35%.
  • All classes have 2 additional sleep points.
  • All classes have 1 additional thirst points.

This patch mostly addresses the item fall through issue and some parts of the melee rework. At the request of many players, I've also included a roadmap to the game. This way you should be able to follow what is being worked on and what features are being considered.

Early Access Build 4 Released!

Hello Everyone!

It took more time than we anticipated, but here is the Build 4 of Draken!

Also, please note that save files and game setting files were moved from the game directory to a more accessible directory. All files should be transferred automatically so there is nothing required on your end. Some users were having access right issues if installed on a secondary drive and this should resolve those issues.

Here is the new directory:
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\LocalLow\Terapoly\Draken

We will be working on overhauling the melee combat next!

Early Access Build 3 Released!

Hi, there!

Here is the 3rd patch of Draken.
I've noticed that many players are experienced shooters and often end up confused why their firearm is not firing. So, I've added in many "guiding" messages that will prompt for certain firearm operations.

It also adds a warning for those who are running the game in virtual resolutions. It should prevent inventory item cells overlapping.
