Dransik 2.1 - Build: 434.230

This is the release of Phase 2 of 3 for the server code rewrite. Around 85% of the server code has been replaced or rewritten at this point. Most of the benefits of this will not be realized in this release but you will see some changes, many of which are described here. The purpose of this rewrite is to allow us to move forward with the 6-month plan posted previously which introduces new game systems, major enhancements of features and content, fixing many long-standing bugs that were unfixable with the previous server as well as moving faster with our game changes.

Code Changes

  • Armor Tooltip: Legs will now show the proper class of Legs
  • Deathport will now work if you die from poison or disease
  • Race change details now show details
  • Valencia / Mainland moves removed from the store

  • /roll command added (for channels: whisper, normal, guild)
  • Chat message length increased to 250 characters (up from 90)
  • Chat message input stops at 250
  • Chat menu closes with ESC, NUMPAD ENTER
  • Chat menu cycles channel only when open

  • Overstuffed containers have a scrollbar (and require removing items before use)
  • The total item limit (you can have combined in bank/inventory) is shown on the containers: Free: 64, VIP: 250, Mega BP: 500 (requires VIP to be active)
  • No longer crash when opening a merchant dialog if your inventory is full
  • Megabackpack depends on VIP properly in-game now
  • If VIP expires Slot Expansion and Megabackpack benefits stop immediately
  • Items that aren't usable (like Megabackpack) won't show the USE button enabled
  • Fixed select mode failing to allow you to ‘use’ anything again
  • Single click to use/equip etc was made easier
  • SHIFT + Use, Reuse, Hotbar uses the ‘item’ on yourself

Good morning everyone. I fixed some bugs and put a new client up on steam.

- Sound Effects will play now as long as the setting is not disabled in the options
- Targeting Helper properly selects the closest target and is only active when the target is moving

Dransik 2.0 - Build: 336.120

Fixes and continued improvements and additions.

Weight, Size (Capacity), and messaging around containers underwent a major overall. Login/Logout went through a major refactor and improvements. And finally, fixed an issue with the map if you are multi-accounting using just one steam folder.

Changes

  • Stacks now show their calculated weight and calculated size (Capacity) used
  • Containers show their Max Size (Capacity) and the count, calculated weight, and calculated size used (capacity used) of the contents.
  • Encumbered messaging is now better and a visual indicator on open containers (backpack and others in inventory)
  • All items now show the Size (capacity) they use and their weight
  • NPCs now show their level and a very simple con rating
  • Shops won’t close by default when you buy/sell
  • All towns have FOOD for sale
  • Quantities of stackable items in stores fixed

Dransik 2.0 - Build: 324.115

Minor fixes and continued improvements and additions.

The significant adjustment to ranged weapons. Bows will not drop NPC targets when attacking. Bow shot is triggered by a stationary movement for 1s allowing to shoot, move until attack speed recharges, and then stop and shoot again.

Dransik 2.0 - Build: 314.91

Finished a few tasks around the chat system and some usability improvements for UI.
Water Castle was redesigned with, a new quest and a new mechanic.

Changes

  • Chat window - in-depth configuration of chat windows including creating your own, channel filtering, visibility settings, and player ignore list
  • The in-world name and tooltip name font changed
  • Redesigned Water Castle/Muknal Dungeon to no longer require a trigger to get into Muknal’s Summoning Pit. You will still need to flip the switch to enter the Water Castle. There is a new quest for the dungeon/Muknal.

Dransik 2.0 - Build: 307.88

A few minor tweaks from the previous larger patch related to items and equipping them and… global chat is now enabled and separated from system chat.

Dransik 2.0 - Build: 306.87

There is a lot of focus on basic blocking and tackling for this update with excellent quality-of-life improvements for all players.

Enhancements done big and small

  • Tooltips expanded to include item data sheets in world and shop, trade, craft windows, and the other player window.
  • More options to customize tooltips (quantities, in the world, etc..).
  • Equip failure now states base vs adjusted skill requirements and enforcement is consistent.
  • Item Equip success and failures should match the specifications and failure is consistently formatted
  • Equip/Unequip won't cause things to jump around in containers on failure (plus unequip remembers where the item was in container before)
  • Target protection feedback when enabled and trying to target (with spam check)
  • Fixed a target/select case that can cause an ugly visual
  • More movement and performance refinement
  • Token Purchase works on again works on Windows again.
  • Ammo types are now configured accurately (arrow, bold, stone, dart, thrown, etc..)


Issues

  • [Dransik 2.0] Objects in BP become transparent and the drag scale can be challenging

  • Staff of Impartiality requirements are incorrect (or can't be used)

The new capabilities around tooltips are on by default because they provide feedback to new players about what is going on in the world. Tooltips, quantities, and other things. For experienced players, you can change them in the options to your preference.

Build: 292.77 - Small Update, Fixed and New Features



A quick patch to address the ghosting of items and introduce item quantity counts along with a new tooltip. Check out the OPTIONS if you want to change the tooltip behavior.
