Dransik 2.0 Launched
Hello, Dransik fans, longtime players, and new community members. Dransik began to see light around 1999 and was actively developed until 2002. The game has been kept running most of that time but not actively worked on. Today, Iron Will Games launched the first major set of changes the game has seen in 20 years. The technology, the game content, the overall progression, and the game design will all be getting a major update.
There is a brand new and completely rewritten game client. Dransik now runs on multiple operating systems (OSX and Windows for now) with modern UI controls and support for today's larger monitors. The screen can be utilized to see the glorious Dransik pixel art much better and have room for in-game UI elements to be positioned where you want them.
In addition, the starting island of Silvest has been cleaned up and refined to provide a more focused experience. Our goal here - and eventually for the rest of the game - is to ensure the quests and progression is balanced to allow those new to Dransik to have time to understand the game mechanics a bit better and gain levels in core skills so they are better equipped for venturing to the main lands.
For those who are familiar with Dransik, many bugs have been addressed in this release. Seriously, a freaking ton! There are new items that can be crafted, hunting areas have been updated and added along with new item drops. This is the first pass, with many more to follow, in creating more opportunities to craft, explore, hunt, specialize and style your play.
We will be releasing a more detailed description of the changes in each of these major areas over the next week. Once this release is out and stable, we will be providing announcements on the next set of major additions to the game and content.
Dransik 2.0 Release Notice
This is the third of 3 announcements around Friday, the 9th Launch. This announcement is focused on overall content and experienced player gameplay.
The desert east of D'Golar has unearthed an ancient inverted tower. Tower Inversa is an end-level dungeon with a unique gate system that will throw the players into chaos. Beware! Those who enter won’t enter at the same level of the tower, and once you are in the tower, you will be between the realm of Dransik and Chaos. This dungeon comes with new monsters, resources, new items to craft, and possibly an Ancient Artifact. The boss in this dungeon can drop items from Anubis, Muknal, and Orcus at a decreased chance.
We are moving forward with designing the lands of Dransik to be more friendly to new players and spreading the hunting zones for end-level content. We needed to move a few locations of entrances for hunting spots. Removing Hell Cave Entrance from NK and moving to South of Garnea. Moved Entrance of Toxicum to West of Josody
Adjustments to Bosses and Monsters:
Increase Boss Spawn Timers
Reducing High-End Loot % from Bosses.
Rebalance all monsters' in-game stats
Adjusted To Hit to be standard on all Monsters based on Level.
Dransik 2.0 Release Notice
This is the second of 3 announcements around Friday, the 9th Launch. This announcement is focused on the client piece.
One of the first targets for content has been to clean up Silvest and work on the new player experience. The new client is a huge step in improving the first impressions and adding much-needed information to the character creation process and overall ease of use in scalability, remapping keys, and more detailed interface windows.
Silvest was already in a good place - full of memorable quests, well-designed encounters, and challenging danger areas. Since it was already a fun experience, we spent time cleaning up this content - working on quests for flow, bugs, grammar, and so on. In addition, the outer loop of the island was removed to focus players on the main attractions of the island. The tradeskills will require more attention to present a cohesive tradeskill progression, so are largely untouched, though some bugs were fixed related to crafting as well.
Improvements and Updates Updated Kristanna’s text and starting area - removed shipyard info, consolidated guard book, added spawn gate book, removed erroneous information about pixelminegames and backpack functionality Guard Murphy, Gornaka, Morgwang, Galen quest kills now working in all areas and counting appropriately
Anna Bell and Galen quest declines are no longer permanent
Intro text erroneously says you can only hold 10 items
Review message feedback given to players when using various tools/items
Seeds weigh too much
Fishing net breaks after first use
Unable to sell magic leather legs to shop
Blackened trident confiscated on Silvest
When fishing, no message is given to players regarding what they caught
Grammar/Spelling pass on all Silvest quests
QOL/misc bugs
No way to remove orbs you have placed in level up process
No feedback given to players in shops when attempting to purchase and have no gold
Map Reveal refresh feature
Berserker Pots have weight and can weigh you down if redeemed while hunting
Review the weight of electric/cold shields
Amulet of Lost Ages resists
Some new monsters can’t be tab/shift targeted with Target Protection on
Can’t fish in Dexmore
Targeting when creature on edge of screen/off screen drops target
A broken ladder at 161,1505,1 should lead to 247,1814,0
In addition to the new client and starter experience changes, EXPERIENCE GAIN is now consistent across all servers so progression on the PvE server will match others.

The Beta is available for Windows and Mac operating systems.
Thank you.
Patch 56.31
This was a smaller patch but we were able to fix a few persistent issues. Thank you for your patience and support. Main change is removing Velsinea – Mainlands moves. Those store items are not usable any longer. You can access both areas from Giant Island. Other than that we worked on some high level boss issues including the restoration of BK castle and some drop balance. As always you can check out our public issues board with a github account and see what we’re working on. Cheers!
Quests
Fixed Mordred Quest - lots of clean up in quest script in how it was formatted.
Fixed Morganwg quest - was not counting kills appropriately
Fix for Richard of Jeel - stuck in usecode bc it was missing a conversation scope
Print to player when completing quest to deliver message to Richard of Jeel (player has no clue they did the right thing or completed it)
Map
Removed safe zones from Velsinea
Added two entrances to Velsinea from Mainlands (Giant Island has two caves that lead to Lycil and Montisunds)
Fix for Toxicum castle (mobs not spawning inside the castle at all)
Various ladders were not teleporting players (said destination was blocked). These should all be functional now including ladder to BK castle.
Updated Lucinia's text regarding leaving for Vels or Mainlands
Removed guards on dragon island portal/destination and safe zone on mainlands side
Removed ability to use mainlands/vels moves in game - gives print instead
Fixup for Vels players - sets flags and calls alignment change onlogin
Goblin Cave near silvest now counting for Orc kill quest, safe zone extended there also
Items
Adjusted weight of zerk pots to 0/0 from 2/2
Fixed the INT check on Conjurer Robe
Reduced break chance on fishing pole until I'm able to do a pass on trades/shops. Too difficult to repair pole with cotton the way it is for newbies.

Removed Vorpal from Venom Spider, added Spidersilk items (minus Orb, can only be obtained from boss)
Adjusted Banished Knight drops of BK gear

Reduced chances on Orcus drop table (not all items, and half reduction only on the stones, rune gear); reduced chance of Black Platemail to drop from Anubis
Added Spider Silk Mage armor set to Venom Spiders.
Increased spawns on IOD and around Toxicum Castle
Potential fix for Orcus occasionally dropping a corpse and then not respawning
Small client update
More server work is happening that is shown here. Client changes: available now Server changes: next server cycle
Crash can result in minimap not being saved => Done
Last log wouldn't be destroyed milling & looking/identify shouldn't be allowed while using a tradeskill => Done

Variables and map auto-save periodically just in case the client exits unexpectedly.
