Dread Delusion is OUT NOW

Hey everyone!

Here it is, the big 1.0 release date. We just want to thank everyone who has been along for the Early Access journey. This really wouldn't have been possible without you! COMPLETE YOUR JOURNEY AND WITNESS THE CONSEQUENCES

Your quest finally comes to an end. Catch up to Vela Callose and discover what her plans are for the Oneiric Isles and beyond. This journey will take you through several new environments like The Underlands and The Cradle.

The Underlands

  • Explore the world's surface beneath the floating isles, through a challenging new dungeon.
  • Face the menacing Emberian Machinations scouring the surface.
  • Several new powerful, late-game items
The Cradle

  • Face down Vela in the center of the Cradle to put an end to the conflict.
  • Decide the fate of the world, and see what your actions throughout the game have wrought in the dozens of ending cutscenes.

EXPERIENCE A NEW BEGINNING

For the first time since Dread Delusion entered Early Access, the starting area has been completely revamped.

  • Entirely new starting region featuring a fresh, updated tutorial
  • Meet colorful new characters in the scryshroom export town of Pwyll
  • Storm Blinding Light Castle in one of several new sidequests, all of which have multiple resolutions, with one deciding the fate of the region.

FLY AN AIRSHIP

Take to the skies of the Oneric Isles with your very own airship. Explore isolated landmasses teeming with new foes and opportunities.

  • Two large islands to explore: the battle-scarred Godwar Island and the arid Shipwreck Isle
  • Make for land almost anywhere using the ship's trusty anchor
  • Enhance your airship with purchasable upgrades!

AND PLENTY MORE...

As we approached full release, we also took the time to update and improve balance across the whole game, including a new Entice spell to make Persona builds more worthwhile.

  • Numerous new pieces of equipment, items and spells
  • Balance changes to delusions, combat, enemy drops, and economy
  • Updates made to various quest endings to better reflect player choice

Previous Save Files

Please note that previous save data will be wiped and inaccessible with 1.0’s release.
Due to the amount of changes, updates, and new content included in 1.0, legacy save files couldn't be supported.

Speaking of the final version of the game... May 14th. That's right, 1.0 is almost here.

With the game is leaving Early Access, there is also going to be a big update that goes live at launch. This includes some much-requested changes, the ability to finally (finally) complete a playthrough (with an ending!), new mechanics, and even more that we can share when the game comes out!

We look forward to players both seasoned and new getting their hands on the full version of the game soon, the road here has been long and fruitful but this marks not the end of this journey... but a new beginning.

Until then fellow Delusionites...

P.S.
Also you can get an airship. You can upgrade them. It's awesome.

Version 0.7.3.6 Update + 1.0 Information

Hello fellow Delusionites,

We want to take a moment to thank our players for their constant support throughout early access. There is exciting news we would like to share regarding the development of Dread Delusion!

As we inch closer to the full release of the game, and with the team hard at work making sure everything is ready, as a result, barring any major bugs, this will be the last hotfix until the 1.0 release. More information, including the release date of 1.0, will be coming soon.

Patch Notes

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that was causing Aphra's mirror to break.
  • Fixed a bug that would stop certain dialogues from closing prematurely.
  • Fixed a bug that was allowing you to steal from a Clockwork Kingdom shopkeeper in the daytime.

Please note that save data will be wiped come 1.0’s release. (Well, not technically wiped, your old save data will be preserved, but the game will use a new set of files for save data tracking. If you’d like to use your older save files when 1.0 hits, all you’d need to do is overwrite the new file slot with the old one. There’s a high chance that this may cause issues with your save, but we wanted to leave that option available for players).

We also wanted to leave our players with a preview of the dangers that they will face in the Underlands come 1.0:

Dread Delusion Steam Cloud Save Support

If you can believe skeletons exist, then you better believe that cloud saves now exist within the world of Dread Delusion!

Now your save can go with either between different PCs or that nifty Steam Deck and your PC. What I'm saying is now you can play Dread Delusion anywhere!
