Fixed a couple of rare crashes in scavengers missions.
New Scavengers mission!
Oi! Dreadlanders!
We've got another big patch for you, so strap in! Before we get started - we’d love to hear what you think about it in the comments or over in our Discord!
The PVE version of the Scavengers mission has been re-designed with a focus on resource gathering (instead of defeating enemies). Why the re-design?:
Because we listened to your advice! Thank you for all of your feedback. We have an amazing community and you told us that you wanted to gather resources quicker to bolster your ranks and finish upgrading your hideout. So now you can! By doing these new scavengers missions in between the campaign missions, gangs will now have an easier time getting the resources they need.
Things changed. The original Scavengers mission design is more PvP oriented, and the new version aligns more effectively with the Dreadlands PvE environment.
Note:
The original PvP Scavengers missions are still available.
For those playing with an existing gang - there won’t be many Scavengers missions available on the world map since all missions are already set. But - as you complete missions, and new missions are added, you will have a high chance of landing Scavengers missions.
Note:
If a ganger leaves a mission through an exit zone, you recover all the loot/items in their backpack. But if they’re downed or out of action at the end of the mission - no loot.
The loot picked up into the shared gang inventory will only be recovered if ALL gangers manage to leave the mission on their own. So get them all out safe!
Additional Patch Notes
Only scavengers missions have bonus drops now
Gangers now get XP when picking up loot during combat
Fixed a lot of spelling errors
Lots of CO-OP issues and crashes fixed
Fixed issue with chat being covered during missions
Fixed issue where no MVP was being awarded after a mission
Bug fixes
version 2.24 fixes a lot of coop related crashes and some other bugs and minor fixes
New Challenge system
Oi! Dreadlanders!
We have a fresh new update for you as we kick off our new update schedule/schema we’re calling the “Summer of Updates”! You can look forward to a new update every month - all for you!
The first update is a challenge system rework. We’ve heard your feedback and have been working on improvements to make it more impactful. Here’s what we did:
Added a new challenge splash view which shows the challenges more clearly at the start of each mission.
Added 11 new challenges and removed some old ones that players didn't feel made any sense.
Added a special XP doubling reward that has a chance to be applied to a random challenge. Complete that specific challenge to double the xp you get from all challenges!
Reduced the number of active challenges to 3 for each mission. This makes things much clearer and easier to keep track of in the mission.
Our focus for future updates will be on the following:
Rework scavenge mission
Add combat dialogue
Glow fragments
Flight Paths between settlements
Enemy AI improvements
New pvp mission
New bounty missions
And of course, throughout all this we’ll be squashing the last few existing bugs - so expect to see bug fixes included with each update. Keep hitting us with your feedback so we can continue improving!
