The Tribe-kin has sought the aid of the mysterious Mushroomancers, while the Scrappers called on the Engineers to help conquer the Dreadlands. Both of these fighters are designed to both offer more utility and flavor for their respective factions, so that they both feel and player differently. Let us know in the comments what you think or join our Discord channel to talk to us directly!
Mushroomancer
Covered in moss and mushrooms, the Mushroomancers use nature itself to either bestow the All-Mother’s blessing or curse upon the battlefield.
Signature skills: Healing Spores Throws an explosive mushroom that will heal any target within the area of effect.
Toxic Spores Throws a rare strain of death cap that explodes and sends out spores that poison anyone in the proximity.
Engineer
While they would rather spend all day and night inside of their workshops (tinkering away and creating all manner of crazy inventions!) sometimes the Engineers will join their gang for some field-testing and “research”.
Signature skills: Turret Deploys their masterpiece (until their next invention, that is) and guardian to wreak havoc on the battlefield.
Tinker Using their ingenuity and spare scrap to either fix up man or machine with additional protection or repairs.
Gang Logo Community Art
We also added 13 new gang logos created by our amazing community. Thank you!
Thank you for your continued support and feedback. See you in the Dreadlands!

Next Update: Tempered Steel
Hello Dreadlanders!
We’ve been hard at work on the next patch and this is a big one! The plan is to get it out to you very soon, but to tide you over let’s look at just some of the bigger changes coming in the next patch.
Leveling and skill trees
We’ve reworked how leveling works and given each unit their own skill tree with both passive and active skills. The goal is to make leveling up your units more fun and interesting, while also making each unit feel more unique.
Guns guns guns!
We’ve rebalanced most weapons to help make them feel more unique. But to spice things up even more we’re also throwing heavy weapons and flamethrowers into the mix!
Updated UI
We’ve done a big UI pass across the board to not only make it look nicer, but also flow better.
Updated visuals
We’ve started to improve how the game looks visually. For example, below you can see the updated look of the Scrapper’s Hideout.
Hope you’re as excited as we are about the upcoming patch and let us know in the comments what you think!
Content and Quality Of Life patch
Hello Dreadlanders!
The second content patch is now live! With this patch we wanted to focus on improving the Quality of Life in the game, while also doing some smaller visual and gameplay tweaks. We also added a highly requested feature, Custom Names for your units and your Gang, as well as 2 new Tactics cards.
Custom Names
We’ve added the option to set your own custom Gang and Fighter names yourselves! Every Gang and Fighter will have an online name and a custom personal name. By default you will see your own custom names and everyone else will see the online name. But if you want to see what your fellow Dreadlanders calls their Gangs and Fighters, you can easily toggle this in the game’s Settings menu.
Quality Of Life improvements
Armor has been reworked. It will no longer need to be repaired in-between fights. Instead to temporarily destroy armor in combat you need to use explosives or weapons with “Shred”. Another weapon trait “Pierce” allows the weapon to ignore 1 point of armor when dealing damage.
Scrap Metal and Medical supplies will now be transferred from your Gang Inventory to your Gang Resource bar directly after each fight, freeing up inventory space.
After a battle if you press "End Mission" the game will automatically collect all the loot on the battlefield and allow you to pick and choose what you want to keep.
Added rigged "Tanner Boxes" that can appear on the battlefield. They contain high value loot, but will randomly spawn and explode after 3 turns. (Tanner has stashes hidden across the Dreadlands, but has rigged them to blow to prevent theft. If he can't have it, then no one can!)
Changed so Aim is now a toggle, so you can undo the Aim command.
All enemies now have an equal chance of dropping loot no matter if they're Downed, Out of Action or Executed.
New tactics
Scrap prison Deploys a Scrap Prison around a Fighter. The target is immune to damage but can’t act for 1 turn.
Inversion For 2 turns Bleed and Poison will now heal the target, while any Healing will harm them.
Other fixes
The camera can no no longer infinitely drift away in combat, settlements, etc.
Reloading with a melee weapon equipped will now properly reload the units weapon.
Added missing description texts for items without one.
Fixed so "Vagabond" has the correct weapon model.
Changed the name of "Unstable Med-Station" to MediGlow Station.
Workshop crash fix
Overview crash fix
Patch Notes Version 1.76
Improvements to shoot preview
Fix for melee executes
Crash fix for overview in Tribe-kin camp
Updated visual on Glow Rot ans Spore Skin tactics

Content and balancing Patch
We are now adding content patches every other week. Our goal is to set them live every other Thursday. The first patch is all about balancing and some additional goodies.
Ranged vs Melee balancing
Main purpose of this content patch is to make melee and ranged combat a little bit more balanced. We are also aiming to make Goons, Scouts, Dogs and Boars to be more relevant and fun. As always we would really like your feedback on this changes.
Rookies are now called Skirmishers and will have a more defined role as a fast but weak attack unit.
Scouts/Goons melee skill increased from 2 to 3. Scouts/Goons also gets the Gunslinger skill (see below)
All excepts Skirmishers will have their movement reduced to 4.
Charging will no longer give an extra attack, only +1 to melee skill.
New tactic cards
We've added two new Tactic cards in this content patch. To Unlock them, just enter your Hideout between today and until the next Content Patch (in roughly 2 weeks time). After that you will have to Unlock them normally by increasing your in-game Fame.
Scrap Vulture (Scrappers)
Any time the target deals melee damage they will restore their armor by 1. lasts 3 turns
Spore skin (Tribe-kin)
Every time the unit is hit they exude a cloud of spores that makes them -15% harder to hit for that turn (stacks up to 2x times). Spore skin lasts 2 turns.
Addtional patch notes
Gameplay
Revived fighters only get 1 ap after being revived.
Animals can now use bandages.
The amount of medical supplies needed to heal a fighter is now based on their level. Lower level fighters wont require as many medical supplies.
Grenades no longer counts as shots.
Added Gunslinger skill. Decreases the penalty for dual wielding pistols.
Improved how the RNG for to-hit works.
Visual
Added Show Gore option. Turn this off for less bloody executions.
Remove blurriness for combat overview (pressing shift during combat).
Fixed visual issues on lots of levels.
Reworked Frankian Hills layout on world map.
New icons for the Tank skill and Glow Stim Pack.
Added healthbar status icons on most buffs and debuffs.
New weapon model for the sniper rifle
Added a Band-aid icon on the Light Wound icon to indicate how many missions the fighter must rest until recovered. It's also shown in the tool tip for the Light Wound.
Technical
Fix for inventory crash
Fix for workshop crash

Playing online allows you to meet other players in the Shared World, and challenge them to PvP fights. But PvP is optional and never forced on you. Even more so with the latest update: in offline mode you can now enjoy this weird and wondrous world in complete solitude .
