We've just released update 1.5.3 for DREDGE. This update addresses what should hopefully be the last round of bugs for The Iron Rig.
Patch Notes:
Fixes
Fixed an issue where the Aurous Anchor could be duplicated. Players who already have excess Aurous Anchors can get rid of them by doing the following: Deploying them all at sea (via Inventory > Cast Overboard). Save and Quit the game. When loading, only 1 will be preserved, which you can collect.
Fixed an issue where 16:10 aspect ratios were considered unsupported.
Fixed an issue where a handful of ooze spots in Twisted Strand and Stellar Basin could not be cleared under certain conditions.
Fixed an issue where SteamDeck detection was not working in certain conditions.
Thank you for your continued support!

This update fixes a handful of bugs and improves a few areas that have been catching players out since our release of The Iron Rig the other week.

Increased the size of the ooze markers on the map.
Added a map marker for the rig's location before you visit it.

Fixes
Fixed an item duplication bug.
The portal from the Aurous Anchor now visually layers better when placed on ooze.
The Leviathan will no longer be able to consume players as they're in the process of docking at the rig.
Fixed an issue where one patch of ooze couldn't be fully cleared in Twisted Strand under certain conditions.
Fixed an issue where players could mark bait spots on their map, causing a number of flow-on issues with the map and spyglass.
A handful of small text fixes.
Additionally, the whole team is incredibly grateful for your support. The reception to The Iron Rig has exceeded our expectations, and we're so happy you've enjoyed diving back into the world of DREDGE.

Numerous performance tweaks and optimizations.
Fixes
Fixed a longstanding issue/exploit where saving and reloading caused all fishing and dredging spots to repopulate. Sorry!
Fixed a longstanding issue where research parts never appeared in crab pots. You're welcome!
Fixed an issue where, in extremely rare cases, if a save file failed to load, the game would overwrite it with a new save.
When a [REDACTED] causes a fish to land on your deck, it now counts towards your catch count in the encyclopedia, and will show the "new species" banner if it's a new discovery.
Adjusted the position of the panic tutorial slightly to not overlap the panic eye animation so much.
Trawl nets no longer function during the final cutscene, which prevents "new species discovered!" banners from popping up over the climax of the game.
Ravens will no longer spawn if the player is currently right next to a dock.
Random events will no longer spawn while the player is locked in dialogue with the photographer in The Pale Reach.
The light on the Fort in Stellar Basin is now visible from further away.
The "Perfect Packing" achievement wasn't unlocking in some scenarios.
The "debt repayment" bar at Greater Marrow wasn't respecting custom colour choices.
Placing map markers should always play a SFX now.
The creaking traps in Twisted Strand are no longer audible from halfway across the map.
Fixed an issue where text could get stuck on screen if it was very short, and Text Speed was set to Fast. Mostly affected Korean and Chinese languages.
When playing with a cursor, you can no longer click on the Cargo tab while using the Spyglass.
Quest grids that require players to make a decision about whether to pick up or leave an item no longer show a (non-functional) "Return to town" prompt.
Players can no longer pick up an item from some quest grids and then interact with dialogs with the item still on their cursor.
Removed a couple of bushes that were floating in the sky above Twisted Strand. Apologies to the folks who thought this was us hinting at a secret zone in the clouds!
Adjusted a few pieces of terrain to prevent the hull of your boat from clipping through.
The Travelling Merchant's bunting has been re-added.
Rain no longer looks weird when climbing the steps to the Ancient Lighthouse.
The Photographer's camera case is no longer able to be discarded via the temporary storage tray beneath the fishing minigame.
