The dungeon just got messier. Some of the new Perks above make use of these blood splats, which will appear whenever you hit or kill monsters.

Show them off to your friends and not-so-friends.

That's all for this update! I hope you're all enjoying Dungeon Deathball. Thanks for playing. 😊
For the next few days, Daily Challenge mode will feature some devious Halloween-themed twists in the form of the Trick or Treat Halloween Special Event!
This event affects Daily Challenges every day from 28th October until 1st November 2021.
About the Trick or Treat Daily Challenges:
🎃 All Gems are replaced with Pumpkins in Daily Challenge mode. 🎃 Pumpkins are worth 1,000 points each (instead of the usual 250 points for Gems). 🎃 Collecting a Pumpkin gives you a Trick or a Treat... but what will it be? 👻 🎃 A spoOoOoky new Achievement is up for grabs for a limited time. Beat the Daily Challenge during this event to unlock it!
Additional Notes:
👻 No backsies! You cannot Undo your move after collecting a Pumpkin. 👻 Your High Score is not saved locally. You can get some pretty wild scores with these pumpkins... Scores you might not be able to beat after the event finishes! Your score will still be posted to the daily Steam Leaderboard though, of course.
Remember! You only get one shot at each Daily Challenge. Try not to get too spooked. 👻
The second big update for Dungeon Deathball is here!
Yep, there's already been one within the last week and no signs of slowing down!
Here's what's new in version 1.2.0...
Countdown to the next Daily Challenge
You can now see how long you have to wait until a new Daily Challenge becomes available.
View information about purchased upgrades
Previously, you could no longer hover over upgrades that were already purchased or otherwise unavailable. Now you can! This means you can view the popup that displays the effects of Perks, stat boosts, etc. even after that stat is fully upgraded.
View enemies' full attack range
You can now see the full range an enemy's attack can reach. A grey arrow indicates the full range of Charge- and Wind-type attacks, so you'll know that even if you try to move away from them you'll still be in danger.
Similarly, if you obstruct a Kappa's movement it will now display the full attack range (previously only the 1-tile movement arrow was displayed).
VSync option
Want to enable VSync? Now you can!
Snaptors and Lil Lils can cross Spike Traps
Couldn't before. Now they can!
That's all for this update! Keep your eyes peeled, for something spooky this way comes. 🎃
The first big update for Dungeon Deathball is here!
Make sure Steam downloads the latest version (check pending downloads) to grab the new changes.
Here's what's new in version 1.1...
Smooth Fonts option
You can now choose to display all text with a smoother, non-pixelated font instead of the usual retro-style font.
This option was added in response to feedback from players with low vision and aims to make the in-game text more legible.
Enable Smooth Fonts in the Options menu for this to take effect.
Clearer warnings when players are in danger
When players are standing on a dangerous tile, the tile's hazard stripe effects now pulse orange.
The intent is to make it more eye-catching when players are about to die, particularly when being targetted by a lightning attack ⚡ (I noticed several players getting zapped without realising it while watching some of your livestreams).
In addition to this, spike traps now display this warning if a player is standing on them (unless that player is safe because they have the Hardfoot perk).
Text changes
Some text has been edited for clarity.
Lone Wolf achievement text changed to make it more clear that you need to begin the final stage with only one player alive.
Bulldozer perk description now mentions that it's a "charge-attack".
Powerball perk description no longer refers to "enemies" since it also affects players and obstacles.
Perk descriptions have been repositioned on the upgrade screen so that it's easier to see what effect they have.
Bug fixes
'Move is in the Heart' achievement no longer unlocks if you move then Undo then move again.
'Move is in the Heart' achievement will now correctly unlock even if the player dies or the stage ends during that turn.
Stunning the final boss now clears his lightning attack marker on the tile he was targeting.
Fixed typo in How To Play section about Gold.
Several HUD elements are now scaled correctly when using 1680 x 1050 resolution.
I hope you enjoy this update! More to come very soon... 👀
First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who has made this a fantastic launch. I've been overwhelmed by the positive response the game has received. As a solo developer this is really heartwarming and makes the hard work worth it.
This is a small patch to fix some achievement bugs, as well as address a few bits of feedback I've had from players.
If you encounter any other bugs you can submit a report here (or drop into the Discord if you want to discuss it further).
🔁 Changes
Clarified information in some tile popups: they now display information about Spawn attacks and Wind attacks (as long as no damage-dealing enemy is targetting the tile).
Stats screen now displays how many music packs you have unlocked.
Stats screen now displays total number of Teams alongside how many you've completed.
🐛 Bug Fixes
Fixed 'The Winner Takes It All' achievement not unlocking in some cases (it wasn't taking Survival Bonuses into account).
Fixed 'Team Powered' achievement unlocking in Daily Challenge mode if you had previously switched to an unlocked team for another mode.
Thanks again! I hope you're enjoying Dungeon Deathball!
