  • [p]Fix the hidden regression bug since the 2024/10 update, that the HARD difficulty enemies used wrong stat switching with NORMAL mode. It should now work correctly. So by this update enemies in HARD mode should have their aggressive behavior restored (as it should originally be). For example, when the dragon boss landed, there should be extra shockwave in HARD mode, which was previously disappeared since 2024/10 update.

  • Increase damage multiplier cap from unit type damage (EliteSlayer/Demolisher) from max +200% to max +500%
  • Fix an issue where Strong item modifier did not applied with most accessories.
  • To prevent blocked passage from buff shrine and switches if they are generated in very close proximity. Those two objects will be removed after they are activated.

  • Add boss dummy and final boss dummy in the training ground for testing weapons against bosses.

Tuning


  • Greatly buff the ammo count obtain from Ranger's Craft Arrow and Mage's Conjure Mana Bullet skills. This should ease up burden on beginners who play these classes.

  • In the town loadout menu, there will be a button to let you walk in the town, testing ground with dummies included. (more info below)
  • (Community suggestion) Bot's voice was too annoying so I turn them off for now. There will be ways to customize bots later including their weapons and models when the bot system becomes more mature.

There is also testing ground to test your DPS.


Here is the benefit when you are using the testing ground:

  • Food, ammo is not reduced.
  • Equipment durability is not reduced.

However there will be also limitations due to technical and design issue:

  • You cannot drop items or trade item here.
  • This walking mode will not be accessible in some case, such as when hot-joining the room where the game is already started.


There is nothing much added into the town right now but I hope to cram more ideas into it.
The walking feature is new and not thoroughly tested.

General Update (1.1.2043)

Critical bug fix


  • None! yay ːsteamhappyː I'm glad there were no critical issue this month.


New things


  • Game pad icons can be override in option screen. Previously it will auto detect from controller reported from the system but having an option to override it is better. Also add icon option for Switch Controller.

  • (Community suggestion) Dash offers new toggle mode in the option screen, for those who don't want to keep holding the button.

  • (Community suggestion) When using a quick repair kit on an item that will turn it into digital (cannot bring back home) game will display a popup confirmation.


Tuning


  • Shorten the pickup animation, the item will fly across the screen to your backpack.



Minor stuffs


  • Cursor sprite will change to what is currently equipping, if main weapon is broken and you are using default weapon it will also show yellow icon warning.

  • Revise explosive barrel achievement to state that you need to pick up and light them. Lighting them on the floor does not count.

Critical bug fix


  • Fix the rogue's backstab passive skill effect did not applied.
  • Fix the perk 'Keris' (more backstab damage) and 'Thunder spear' (more damage while on high speed) effect did not applied.


New things


  • Previously we have each level up perk selection for each type of weapon (sword, dagger, spear, ranged, magic) this design will lock player to play certain weapon for the rest of the run which is not very flexible. In this update the game will abolish this use one unified perk "Upgrade Damage" for all types of weapon.

  • Item that got the "Blacksmith Protection" will become personal item, when you try to drop those items on the ground, other player will not be able to see or pick them up. (this is similar to the "soul bound" items in MMO game sense) This system will also applied to valuable items such as "Memory Fragment" as well. The personal item will display pink aura. The game will issue warning when you are trying to drop such item.



Tuning


  • Previously in the last update, the AoE spells cannot cast beyond solid walls was introduced, in this update the condition was relaxed, it will be allowed to cast over "Props" such as stone slabs and fences.



Minor stuffs


  • Fix "Explosive" item attribute description.
  • Fix item dialog UI will start focus in status dialog (wrong spot) when opened.
  • Tone down the red flashing color when enemy takes damage.
  • Drag and drop a weapon in item dialog will also highlight correct equipment slot that it should go to.

Critical bug fix on skill upgrades (1.1.2025)

Critical bug fix


  • The active skill upgrade of every classes had no effect all along in the previous build! wtf have I done! 😭
  • The greed strike perk was incorrectly applied triple times result in broken damage 9999, now it wont anymore. It also got nerfed a bit from +77% to +50% dmg.
  • Fix reactive shield was totally did not work for client player.


New things


  • Bone Necromancer can now cast quicken to their allies. (just an experiment for enemy buffing mechanic in the future!)

  • The new mini on-screen buff display for each actor, enemy or player. This is to display an effect from such buffing.
  • The jumping damage number will leave some interval if there is damage burst to one target, this will fix the cluttered and overlapping damage numbers. (the image shows weapon hit with 3 explosion lines)



Tuning


  • AoE spells cannot cast beyond room walls anymore (sorry ranger and mage!)

  • (player complaints) To respond to a long time popular player complaints, that the player's movement was slow to start, so this update greatly increase initial acceleration.
  • (player complaints) Another one is that dashing speed gain was tiny, now I add more obvious speed gain, but also made it cost 2x more stamina usage for now
  • (player complaints) There was a comment that stun-lock period was too long, so I reduced player's "staggered" time from 0.4s to 0.2s. They will regain control faster after hit by trap or enemy. The clip show shorter recovery time after struck by a trap

  • Relax most of boss minion summon timers for player to not get overwhelmed, but bump the enemy amount up a bit
  • Mage's basic ranged shot now link to normal attack speed stat. (The Berserker or Light item line will make them shoot faster)
  • Nerf eliteslayer and durable item line a bit.
  • Nerf overall enemy's maxhp scaling (-10%)


Minor stuffs


  • Knight wont have 'Ranged damage upgrade' in levelup screen anymore.
  • UI scaling option wont be reverted anymore.
  • Fix incorrect language sent when player activate shrine.
  • Display character status box together with item screen now, simplify number presentation in there.



That was a grave mistake from me, I've added automated code testing unit to check that this case won't happen again. ːsteamfacepalmː Apologize and yikes big time.
