That game is all about how elements were made before EARTH ELEMENTS. All what we see was created in space at some point. Then here you go.....play in space...as lost off course traveling hero....yours ship is destroyed. you need to rebuild and how you do that: dig, mix, build. Build yours dream space ship from resources collected. Equip ship with systems: weapons, rocket, oxygen generator, planet drill... and so on. fight enemies, build better faster ship, travel.

status as of now: 4/9/2024 almost ready for early access some more work with some aspect. but main core is there. load save is there. .fight system is there, build system is there.

1.50 VOLCANO update
A plenty of changes in game. Game pace is much faster in ten, twenty minutes You can have plenty of resources and a lot of tunnels already dig out. A lot of restrictions not present in game anymore. Easier selection/order system, easier DIG system, auto build ladder for vertical movement after tile is dig out. In summary now RoundOnes can BUILD those World wonders much easier.
NEW main features:
- new selection/issue orders system - use left mouse button to select and right to give order. Like in RTS games. Very easy and convenient way . Nothing in game is done automatically anymore. This means if villager is hungry you need to select him and move him to TABLE build to replenish food. Now building and digging is much easier. Each villager can do independent task. Access to DROPZONE is not that much necessary anymore - which is good for playability.
- new access to specifics actions. Some BUILDS have some advanced action associated with them you can access them with new menu. Usually those are to CONFIGURE build or mixer, DELIVER some additional material to that build. Menu will show only actions for selected specific item - for example MIXER actions might be different than TABLE or STOVE.
- new redesigned MACHINES - after placing machine on map like any regular build - you can move it when digging is necessary and choose dig zone for it. After that activate digging. Machines are reusable.
- new BUILDS. redesigned refactored all builds in game and added some new exciting build types. To be specific those can be configured - usually with some resources which you have in dropzone and that later needs to be delivered to that BUILD. For example BED to be functioning will need some kind of cushion to get better rest for villager. So configure BED with wool resource and deliver that to that build to fully activate it. Its very easy and will allow you to use what you have currently in dropzone.
-new tiles in game - most important ones are: water and active lava. Water as flowing fluid will go down and is going to flood empty tiles. Lava will flow in all direction and take existing tiles from map. Lava will build up and place maximum 2 volcanoes on map. Volcanos will grow few tiles up and in that process maybe will destroy some builds. Lava on other hand is blocked by BUILDS. So build a lot and then lava will be blocked. All this means that right now You actually play against lava.
- new redesigned TECH TREE (former encyclopedia) Very useful to see and decide what MIXER should mix. Now automatically configuring new Mixer from within TECH TREE.
- new DIG system for villagers and machines. They DIG and throw material behind them - as boxes with material. Then those boxes needs to be collected.
- new redesigned GUI elements - gui is simpler now, more streamlined - for example you selects some build and only specific actions allowed for that build will be shown. Game window can be just grabbed and size adjusted to fit yours screen. Looks very nice on wide screens. Mini map refactored to fit better world sizes. Now game world can be created in way you wont to play: if you need more surface for farming and animals then create very wide world, if You wont to dig more than create map which is longer vertically and you will have plenty of dig tiles.
A ton of other small fixes, changes, refactoring. A ton of game features not clear how to use or just cluttering was removed from game. I hope game will be better and fun to play. BUILD those wonders in game and show them to Yours friends. Thank You

Welcome New update coming soon. I am in about 80 percent done with that rework. Investigating how Volcano will work in game.
-underground lava build up will take resources. Lava is performing much better than enemies. Therefore I will remove enemies from game. Let me know if effect is worth the effort. Altogether if map is wide enough 2 volcanoes will be set from underground lava. Lava by itself is not destroying any BUILDS , but other resource will slowly disappear from map. Not implemented in game yet. Will be available in coming soon 1.50 update

Main new ideas for machines. - they could be freely moved - with selecting and right click mouse - dig and throw away material - choose dig zone and activate and away they will go and dig -can dig under water -placing ladder automatically for RoundOnes easy access
I have main framework functions for them. After main class of machines will be finalized I will create a lot of variations of them with different properties. Well After that my next focus will be on encyclopedia. Uff that's fun. Check out video

Welcome New update coming soon. I am in about 75 percent done with that rework. Basically that will feel like new game. I put a lot of effort since beginning of this year into this project. Lets give you some specifics:
A. Reworked whole units selection/orders -unit selection. with mouse left mouse button dragging to select like in RTS style. -with that comes independent orders to units. every unit could do different task. one can dig other could build, they could cooperate. You will have ability to select unit and tell it to go whenever you wont with right click button.
Now basically using left mouse button to select and right mouse click to give orders game feels much better. finally player will be in control what units are doing.
B. reworked /refactored tiles and maps and minimap too. Newest tile is water - fluid tile will spread. (cell automata mechanics. very interesting.) You can choose narrow but deep map for more digging, or if you planning farming game - then select wide and huge map.
C. reworked/refactored almost every builds. Added some new builds - builds with functionality. Cooking stove - producing hot meals looks nice. Builds could be even placed in air. Roundones don't need to go to build to place it. With that some explanation is needed to game mechanics. I loosen many restrictions. RoundOnes can dig even without access to DROPZONE, and build too. So exploring and digging on tunnels finally is fun. On those screenshots RoundOnes dig that tunnels tiles in about 10 minutes of play time. so in summary many restrictions gone. better play.
To do: I still have huge aspect of game to work on - MACHINEs, and ENCYCLOPEDIA and SAVE and LOAD. Yes. and GUI was reworked too - its much cleaner, simpler.

new game is coming After studying car traffic game idea I have decided to halt project. Car traffic game will require from me different approach to move cars smoothly - follow path idea for every line to be specific, which is completely different animal than astar pathfinding. Knowledge from that short lived project will allow me to work on, yes you right : EARTH'S ELEMENTS 3D GAME.
Currently working parts in prototype projects:
-3d play world -unlimited map - only limited to your computer power -mining part, do digging with multiple units. -top/village part in isometric view - for building structures. -many camera controls - adjust camera for yours liking -load/save -easy 3d cursor - with mouse wheel button adjusting height - like CAD style cursor hairs for easy visualization where cursor is in 3d
To be soon implemented: -surface tiles like: river, trees, prairie -mixer - same idea as in my first game, mix to get more advanced elements -maybe I will test building builds by villagers - but for now without it game feels completely fine - fully sandbox - you are building, they provide material.
Technical info: 3d astar implemented - that is perfectly suited for tile based 3d game. Game is NOT going to be that complicated like my first game earth elements. Easy/simple game play - for now building is done by user, only digging is done by villagers. Time frame for project I think about 2 years. I was doing very heavy work for earth elements - and probably overcomplicated it. I promise to keep this one simple. For now working on GUI aspect of game play: selecting units, assigning orders, building - most command could be done with mouse its really simple implementation: 1 - select units with left button, 2 - give order with right button, nothing will be done automatically, player have control which unit to choose and what orders to give. maybe I will implement that to my first game too.

changes/additions -HEALTH - health is property of Roundones depending on : food and sleep. If both food and sleep are above zero health will increase, if one of them is zero health will deteriorate slowly, if both food and sleep are zero than health will go down fast. Health on very low level around 10 will cause Roundone to die. Therefore you need to provide food storages and bed for workers. -stamina, recharger and whole aspect of energy is removed from game. -wining game conditions is to collect uranium. Other game goals were removed -only default tile set is available from now on.
tutorial: - tutorial reorganized. added new tasks. even if you finished previous tutorials I encourage you to do this one. explaining a lot of topics in it.
note: in this update most important feature is removing energy/stamina idea. older game saves will not work after that update. thank you

UPDATE 1.03 - tutorial rework - 17 tasks now - GUI rework - real time info not showing anymore if behind gui elements, more hints for various gui elements provided -some other small fixes
Work on tutorial in game will continue, I am thinking dividing it in sections. Also thinking about cleaning some game aspects, I think that I will remove: - stamina or replace it with overall health dependent on food and sleep. With stamina whole idea of energy and recharger will be removed. that energy I think is dead end. - dog as a friend - it was buggy and complicated - portal - I will leave only one winning condition to collect uranium - simple and clean - possibility to choose different tile set
If you are using above aspects of game and like them let me know, I will rethink my ideas. But removing those aspects will be beneficial to game. SIMPLIFICATIONS. Removing will be complicated and time consuming , those are used, implemented in whole game code. Now I have 46k line of code - I think I enjoy coding.
