Upcoming campaigns
We are excited to announce two new campaigns for Easy Red 2!
As many of you know, we ran a poll a few months ago to ask you what campaigns you would like to see next. We received many interesting responses, with the most popular requests being for North Africa, Poland, France (early war), the Bulge, China, Market Garden, and Berlin.
It was difficult to choose which campaigns to develop next, but we ultimately decided on two new fronts: •Early War France: The Battle of Stonne •Battle in the Ardennes
We chose France in particular because it was a popular request from the beginning of development, and we wanted to choose a relatively known campaign but not covered in many games that took place near the Ardennes region. This allowed us to include some late-war Ardennes winter campaign content in the same package.
The two campaigns will take place in areas that are very close to each other, but they will be two separate maps. This allowed us to develop the campaigns quickly without delaying other work, such as the Switch updates, modding support, and ongoing improvements to the game. In fact, most of the work for the campaigns is already done!
I should also mention that we delayed announcing these campaigns because we originally planned to make them free updates. However, we ended up spending more money than expected on developing high-quality maps and missions. As a result, the campaigns will most likely be a paid DLC (two campaigns in one DLC). I will try to keep the price as low as possible, but it will ultimately depend on the final development costs.

A view of the late war Ardennes area
New uniforms (French uniforms for Stonne and US winter uniforms for late war Ardennes), vehicles, weapons, and of course, the French faction will be included in the campaigns. We will be revealing vehicles and weapons are gonna be added during the next days inside our Work-in-progress challel in our Discord server, but in the meantime, let me already show a couple of them:
MAS 38
FM 24/29
We don't have a specific release date yet, but it will likely be within the next couple months.
Unfortunately, uniforms are not yet moddable. We are working on this feature, but it is taking longer than expected because we are also completely reworking the TPS animations, and until we don't put the new TPS rig in game, allowing modding uniforms with the old system won't really make much sense. We will release more information about this as soon as possible.
Anyway, you can learn how to start creating all other kind of mods by watching this tutorial: It is also it's suggested to join the Discord server where you can confront with other mod makers and with us to learn more about mod making.
Normandy Campaign
We released the Normandy Campaign earlier this summer after working on it for over 9 months. We are very happy with the positive reception that it has received. Thank you to everyone who has played it! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2317930/Easy_Red_2_Normandy/
Nintendo Switch
We have finally released the new update for the Switch, which brings the game up to version 1.2.6. We have received positive feedback from Nintendo users about the new improvements, such as the improved stability and performance, and the new features, such as the Map & Mission Editor and the new weapons and vehicles.
The Normandy Campaign will be released for the Switch in the first half of September. The exact release date will vary by region, but normally it will be between the 4th and the 11th.
We keep improving all features of the base game and as always we will be going on listening to suggestions from people inside the Steam Discussions and the Discord server.
The updates for the base game we are constantly releasing are very expansive, so if you are interested on giving us a hand to make a better work, this is our Patreon. All the money raised from this will be spent to make a better game.
Thank you all, Marco

Update 1.2.4: Important bug fixes and performance optimizations
Hi everyone,
We spent a lot of time during last couple months trying to fix a bug that was making some user (normally RTX card user) getting weird crash issue when running on Direct X. It appeared it was a bug with a recent Unity version and finally a fix for the issue has been released. We are integrating this feature with last update so you can safely use Direct X again with the game. Note that Direct X seems to perform better on Nvidia Cards, while Vulkan seems to perform better on AMD cards, however you can try both and pick the one that works better with your setup.
Recent changes
New features: •Fixed a bug that was making Direct X crashing for many RTX cards users and some GTX cards users.
Fixes: •Improved aiming down sight and animations for some weapons. •Changed the way decals are managed in memory to improve memory management and performance. •Changed the way blood & burns effect happens on uniform improve memory management and performance. •Changed the way scopes and animations on vehicles are loaded in memory to improve memory management and performance. •Other memory management and performance improvements. •Several other smaller changes and fixes suggested on the Discord server.
Update 1.2.3F7: Completed FPS animation rework, news about modding and more!
Hi everyone, Here's the changelogs since last week:
Recent changes
New features: •New medical animations. •New Colt m1911 animations. •New M1 Bazooka animations. •New M2 Flamethrower animations. •New Browning m1919 animations. •Added US MG Squads in Anzio campaign. •Heavily changed bullet system + added new ammo types.
Fixes: •Improved the way weapons manage chambered bullets. •Improvements in battle and achievements balancment. •Improved transition between animations (FPS). •Adjustments in animations (FPS). •Fixes in Map & Mission editor. •Improvements with bipod system. •Fixed a bug where magazine was invisible sometimes when switching to another unit in the squad. •Fixes with some weapon aim alignment. •Several other smaller changes and fixes suggested on the Discord server.
Since today we will start with the TPS animation rework, hard to say how long it will take, but probably less than the FPS animation rework. We will still provide changes and fixes in the FPS animations and we will of course still add new weapons that will require new FPS animations, but most of the focus of animation rework will transit to the TPS animations now.

Modding support
We created an SDK to easily create modding. We are performing tests with some volounteers and so far everything is going super well. Even users with very little modding knowledge appears to be able to create any kind of mod supported by the game. That's also thanks to some tutorials we are creating which completly guide players on how to follow the entire modding process. We expect to have an open testing version of the modding system within a couple weeks.
We keep improving all features of the base game and as always we will be going on listening to suggestions from people inside the Steam Discussions and the Discord server.

Modding support
Thanks to the support received with the Normandy campaign release, we can now start working much more deeply into modding, and in fact, we started making some first modding tests that gave great results. I think it's fair to expect a first modding system to be ready within a couple months. The first batch of modding system will mostly focus on allowing adding new content to the game such as: •New weapons (with their own new sounds and animations). •New Vehicles. •New props & buildings. •New uniforms and clothing. •Voice actings. Right now we can't confirm the possibility to modding vanilla content for many many reasons, however allowing for adding new content should still give much more freedom anyway. Also later on we will allow for adding even more modded content for sure.

A Normandy Bundle for the D-Day anniversary!
Easy Red 2 ❌ Tank Mechanic Simulator ❌ Unity of Command II
If you are a fan or World War 2 games, there is very good news!
Let's start saying that in our opinion the world of WW2 games to date is a bit neglected, it is rare to find new games and big deals with respect to this genre;
For this reason we at Corvostudio, together with the developers of Tank Mechanic Simulator and Unity of Command (series) have decided to release today, the D-Day anniversary, a discounted bundle where you can buy 3 games with different gameplay and related DLC with normandy theme. Therefore, in particular today it will be possible to buy the newly released DLCs "Easy Red 2 Normandy" and "Tank Mechanic Simulator: Sherman DLC" at a even more discounted price within this bundle!

Easy Red 2: Normandy is an expansion that brings an impressive amount of fresh content to the base game. Among the highlights are the inclusion of the Normandy campaign, complete with all the iconic beaches such as Omaha, Utah, Pointe du Hoc, Sword, Juno, and Gold. Additionally, players can expect to explore the Normandy inland area, with its sprawling cities like Caen, Carentan, and Saint Lo, along with a vast surrounding campaign area that promises countless hours of engaging gameplay.
To further enrich the gaming experience, Easy Red 2: Normandy introduces 15 new missions, each with its unique challenges and objectives. You can also expect to find over 100 new props, buildings, and bunkers from the campaign available in the Map and Mission Editor, most of which come with destructibility features, making your battles even more realistic.
The expansion also adds an impressive roster of new vehicles to the game, such as the LCAs, Sherman DD, German coastal guns, Sturm panzer 43, Jagdpanzer IV, Hetzer, Marder I, Sdkfz250, Schwimmwagen, M4A2E8 Sherman, Churchill MK VII, Comet, Valentine, M10 Achilles, Bren Carrier, WC51 Dodge, and other tank and civilian vehicles.

The DLC includes iconic tanks such as the M4A1 Sherman (Early production), M4 Sherman (Mid production), M4A2 Sherman (Late production), M4A3E2 Sherman Jumbo, and T34 Calliope. These tanks come equipped with new engines, including the Wright Continental R-975-C1, General Motors 6046, and Ford GAA, adding to the authenticity and realism of the game. Additionally, the DLC introduces a new gearbox, the Spicer Synchro Mesh Gearbox, which can be used for all these tanks. Each of the vehicles has been painstakingly recreated on the basis of the collected technical documentation. The interiors have been nicely detailed with radios, dashboards and more removable parts.
Prepare to immerse yourself in the excitement of United States Army's World War II tanks with these new additions to Tank Mechanic Simulator. Whether you're a history buff or just love the thrill of renovating powerful tanks, this DLC is not to be missed.
Unity of Command II is the sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed strategy games of all time; a game critics called 'the perfect gateway' into computer war games.
In the summer of 1940, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini joined Germany's war in a bid to rapidly expand his fledgling empire. The Italian Army would proceed to attack Greece, Egypt, and the British Colonies in East Africa.
You will take command of the vastly outnumbered Allied forces as they attempt to stop first the Italians, and then the Germans in the form of the vaunted Afrika Korps. From a token force of a few divisions, your army will expand into a vast force of more than a quarter-million men.
Experience the see-saw action in the sweltering heat of the Desert in operations such as Compass and Crusader. Re-live the often overlooked and untold story of the dogged fighting in the mountains of Eritrea and the Blitz through Somalia and into Ethiopia.
