Updated version of ELEA is now available!
Hey all!
I'd first like to apologize for the lack of updates from our side. As Marten has already mentioned, we ran into some complications that led to us having to postpone the update. Nonetheless, we are very happy to let you know that you can now explore the updated version of Elea!
For everyone that has been with us from the start; don't worry, this new version of Elea will soon be pushed to your Steam library for free!
So what's new in this updated version of Elea? Here are the Patch Notes again of the last update:
New asynchronous save system with more checkpoints (almost double in number) is implemented. It’s faster, stutterfree and way more secure.
A new dynamic lighting system is introduced in the game. It uses volumetric lights and effects, and makes the realistic PBR shaders in the game to shine in their complete beauty.
The PC version is optimized to make use of the new generation of video cards, allowing users to play at very high FPS and benefit from better shadows, anti aliasing, anisotropic filtering, screen space reflections and post-processes profiles.
New scenes are introduced in the game.
New object highlight mechanic is introduced (this was heavily suggested by players).
The memory management is improved and this leads to faster loading and better overall performance.
A lot of new visual effects, assets and sounds are introduced.
There is a new option, that allows players to skip conversations / subtitles (this option can be controlled via the settings screen).
We’ve updated all interaction icons and the whole experience in the game worlds.
The localization is updated.
Overall there are more than 200 bug fixes and additions.
Thanks for the support and we hope you’ll enjoy Elea!

Elea - Update Delay
Hi all!
First of all, I want to apologize for not updating you guys earlier about this. We've ran into some more complications with the game, so we haven't been able to publish the update yet. Right now, we're hoping we can publish it by the end of the week, but at this point I can't promise that. Kyodai is working hard on getting the game ready for release, but we don't want to rush and release an unfinished product.
I'll give you another update by the end of the week! Again, sorry for the delay, but I hope you understand!
Seeya!

Elea is getting a new AppID!
Hi everyone!
Over the last year, Elea has changed quite a lot. We got through Early Access, released on Xbox and next week the PS4 version will launch. With the release of the PS4 version on July 25th, all the improvements Kyodai has made for the console versions will be implemented back into the Steam version. However, this means that current save games are no longer compatible with the new version of the game. To make sure noone loses their old save games, and everyone still gets to play the latest version, we've created a new AppID for Elea, which means there's a new store page and library listing for that version. After launch on the 25th, the store page for the old Elea will be hidden, and only the new version will be available for purchase. It will remaind available to play for everyone who owns it before then.
So to recap:
A new library listing and store page for Elea will launch on July 25th. This means you'll then have Elea in your Steam library twice. Both will remain playable.
For everyone currently playing Elea; don't worry, you can continue playing the old Elea with your current save game.
For everyone who wants to try the latest version; you'll automatically find the new Elea in your library on July 25th.
We want to thank you all for your support. It's been a great experience and we hope you've enjoyed the evolution of Elea as well so far!

Elea is out of Early Access! v1.0 now live
Hello everyone!
Today is a great day, because after 4,5 months of Early Access, Elea's v1.0 is now available!
First off, I really want to thank you all for participating in the Early Access and helping us improve, shape and make Elea to what it is now. Just to emphasize what you've helped us achieve, here's a list of the most important changes and updates we've done in 10 huge updates over the Early Access period:
Gameplay A huge amount of gameplay changes have been implemented based on the community input. Elea can now sprint in the entire 'Recovery' chapter (minus when there's a conversation with other characters) for faster paced gameplay. We've added an entirely new hint system, created more clear objectives, highlighted important assets/objects, implemented faster movement in the house segment, etc.
New Content We added tons of new content in the ten updates. We've implemented a new help screen, a new story overview intro screen, a new cinematic intro, a new after credits final, we've added more than 50 new assets, implemented full 5.1 surround with spatial audio support, new voiceovers for some of the characters, new music tracks, new save checkpoints (three more compared to the first EA version), and we've unlocked the framerate up to 120 frames per second (versus 60FPS in the earlier versions).
Optimization We've optimized the streaming system and reworked it specifically for the PC version (from v0.9 of the game). There's been texture optimizations, implemented streamable audio, optimized the interface of the game for 4K resolutions (from v0.95 version of the game), implemented localization fixes and updates and added better screen space reflections (SSR) on ultra settings for more powerful PCs, etc.
Version 1.0 is the content complete version of the game. This does not mean this is the final update for the game, though. We'll still be fixing bugs and optimizing the game, based on your feedback.
Last but not least, here's the patch notes for the v1.0 update:
Optimization of the level loading system
Optimization of the save & load system
Update of some meshes and textures
Audio improvements
Localization fixes and updates
Over 100 bug-fixes
Unlockable image effects that change the game visuals after successful completion of the episode.
A surprise new “In the next episodes” scene just after the credits.
The final chase sequence is polished and new QTE animation is added
I can't thank you all enough for all the feedback and support you've given us over the Early Access period. We're very proud of the final version of Elea, and we couldn't have done this without you.
Have fun playing Elea and we'll see you in the next episode!
