We are close to publishing the major update including area spells.
Those will be based on the fire element for now and can be learned after getting enough experience. Another big change coming soon is the ability to acquire elven bows in the shop. Specifically for this purpose, the orcs will (occasionally) carry some gold with them and drop it upon their death. Expect the bow to be rather expensive, so you will need to kill lots of orcs to afford them.
Siege weapons preview and Sale!
Elven Assassins is cheaper than it's ever been and cost around 5$!
For those who haven't tried siege weapons including cannon, ballista, and catapult yet, you can find them on the castle location(multiplayer mode) or check out the preview here.
Do you think this kind of mechanics is good for the game?
As for the development part of the game, we are currently working on area spells system and on further improving the bow mechanics.
Stay tuned for updates!
PS:
Someone asked to post such announcements also on Reddit, but our account lacks karma points yet so if any of supporters feels it's a good topic for a thread then fell free to post it and paste a link to the thread in the comment so others can take part.
Update 1.0.4 - New Castle Location
We are releasing the new location to multiplayer mode so you can have some fun with this.
It's not yet in its final state, but we wanted to show it to you a little earlier.
New features:
-Castle location added to multiplayer
-"Arrow hand offset" option added to settings.
-"Rain" option added to castle map
Bugfixes:
-Lefthanded settings now maintain across game sessions
"Arrow hand offset" option should limit the "hitting headset with my controller" problem.
We will probably make it default option if your feedback will be positive. Try it out - we hope you will like it.
Any reviews or comments are highly appreciated.
New features coming soon!
We are working on adding some stationary weapons (psst: to the new location that wasn't announced). We haven't decided yet, which of these will be added. What do you think? Which one should come first?
1. Ballista
2. Catapult
3. Cannon
Update 1.0.3
New enemy bosses in multiplayer:
- dragon
- troll
The implementation of these units is not finished yet, we will be working on improving them, but decided to push it today so you can try it and give some feedback.
For now when the dragon is defeated it returns to its nest instead of falling down from the sky. Maybe it will change in the next updates.
Troll screams and attacks players on the middle platform.
Fixes:
- now players can join the room after the game was restarted and the host hasn't started the game.
Update 1.0.2
Improved bow mechanics and some other bug fixes:
Bug fixed:
-leaderboards now save only best score
-"through the window" shots work
-list of games refreshes correctly
-axe "woosh" sound plays on clients
Improvements:
-better bow mechanics
-the bow scaled down
-play areas rotated
-wooden walls made higher
-axe colliders size adjusted
-animation adjusted (when orc dies on the slope)
-hands attached to the bow
-the time before restart changed to 15s
Dragons are coming to the elven town soon!
Axes are intense? How about flames?
Although not very strong, they are hard to take down.
Update 1.0.1
We have just fixed an issue with many arrows spawned when joining in the middle of the multiplayer game causing very bad performance.
The update of the game is highly suggested to play in multiplayer.
We have also fixed an issue with the second wave not starting, caused by steamsdk not being initialized. It's very likely that this solves the case, which was reported in bugs topic.
You can expect next fixes und improvements this week.
