Trading souls echoes for useful magic and trinkets, he is out there all along your ascension, making it easier for you to get through the dangers of the Abyss.

Nyx is a sky traveler who lost his people in an Abyss-related cataclysm, wandering from city to city to learn more about the origin and manipulation of dark energy.
This is how the emperor of the Celestial people welcomed him, with the idea of instilling hope in his people and maintaining his influence. As Nyx slowly came closer to the truth, the ruler designated him as the next sacrifice. He found himself wandering, consumed more and more by the Abyss until he was nothing but a soul.
After many decades he will meet Fay, shattering the perspectives of the bitterly lonely man...

Fay is a young servant of the imperial palace, She never knew her parents and has always grown up attending the Celestial court. Every ten years, a sacrifice is made by the emperor at the portal of the Abyss in order to maintain its seal and prevent creatures from leaving that world.
As a young adult, Fay finds herself designated to be sacrificed during the next ceremony. Determined to die for her people, she submits to her fate and dives into the Abyss, terrified but proud to know that she is saving her folks.
It was without being warned that it was not death awaiting her on the other side... But an adventure that would take her beyond anything Fay could have ever expected, accompanied by her future companion in misfortune, Nyx...

Let's take a look at Elypse's base gameplay! The Abyss is not a welcoming place, you'll have to adapt to your environment to get through this ordeal.
Let's jump right to it with Fay
Before going further into the Abyss you'll have to unlock your dashes!
Earn more dashes throughout your journey and take advantage of your speed to reach your way out of the Abyss. You can't reach this platform in the distance? You might need an additionnal dash to get to it!
Your adventure in the Abyss won't be all peaceful with enemies inhabiting the environment doing everything they can to stop you. Face enemies and get rid of some wall protections with your slash!
Long ago in the Celestial world, a great portal was opened. A gateway leading to a dimension as frightening as it was mysterious, sucking in all life that approached it and closely linked to it... the Abyss.
And so a dark ritual was born... The Celestials began to feed the portal one of their kind every decade in order to keep the vortex in balance and protect Celestial society.
In this world, you will be Fay. A young woman of the Celestial people designated as the next sacrifice.
Escape from the Abyss by surviving the traps, enemies that you will encounter while revealing your powers and discover the dark story that lies behind these places.
