Good Morning everyone! We hope everyone is enjoying 0.7.6 so far, we know some issues and quirks still remain as well as some performance issues. These are all things we are actively addressing and putting all our effort into to make sure that 0.7.6 Public Release is a stable, and reliable build that runs as smoothly as we can make it. Our second staging branch patch for the update, 0.7.6F is now live on Staging Branch and internal!

Update 0.7.6D Live on Staging Branch

0.7.6D is a huge update and we are excited to finally release it after tons of unforeseen setbacks and issues that we came across. The update includes many new changes and fixes however brings with it the possibility of new bugs and issues. Please be sure to report bugs to us so that we can fix the issues as quickly as possible.

Update on 0.7.6C Progress

Here a fatality accident where the car struck a pole, overturned and caught fire, NYPD, EMS, FDNY and OCME on scene.

Early version of 0.7.6 live on Staging Branch (Please Read)

Hey everyone, if you have been following our discord, you'll know that me and Donut have run into a wall the last two weeks with a very stubborn and unpredictable error with Unity causing build errors when we try to make a new build since 02/15. The build live on the staging branch is almost a month old and is the last build we were able to make before the issue arose. We have spent days on days reverting, and making builds trying to figure out where the issue began, whats causing it, and mostly how to get rid of it..

In the mean time we believe its fair that we release the closed testing branch to the public. So here's the deal. I have published 0.7.6 to the staging branch ( An early WIP version that the @5th Battalion MP have had access to from last month) Basically the last working build we were able to make before Unity screwed us and we keep getting build errors. The current version of 0.7.6 is much more complete with many more calls and additions but this build has a much more working Multiplayer, the Fire Academy additions, and more. I want you guys to be able to play this latest version while me and Donut try to trace down this Unity issue. This is not an official release, there are issues and bugs like always, but just know we are continuing to try to find the issue so I can publish a much more stable and complete update 0.7.6 for you guys. We have already spent almost 2 weeks trying to figure out this issue and until we do, we cannot make any builds, patches or hot fixes.

0.7.6 New Factions (Medical Examiner & Flatbed Tow Truck)



Hey everyone, as we continue to work on 0.7.6, we have added a Medical Examiner Van and a Flatbed Tow Truck. The Coroner van is needed for incidents where person(s) are found to be deceased and need to be removed from the scene. If someone is pronounced dead at the scene, you will not be able to transport that person in an ambulance. You will need to request or drive the Coroner's van to the scene and load the deceased into the van.

The Flatbed Truck is useful to tow vehicles after a car accident. Just like the van, it can be requested or driven.

These were 2 necessary additions to the game for 0.7.6's tons of new car accidents and EMS calls.

Quick preview on new Hose system

Just a quick preview, here is something Donut has been working hard on with the new hose system. Along with tension, hose stiffness, and the need to create slack for hoses (Control man, Im talking to you), you can now stretch the hose around corners and bends!

0.7.6 Development Update

Good morning, Happy Saturday everyone. Just an update on 0.7.6. We have made huge leaps of progress on 7.6 in terms of optimization, multiplayer gameplay, and new content. 7.6 will reimplement a functioning and enjoyable Fire Academy & Manhattan Multiplayer experience, offer hours of new Fire Academy Scenarios to practice on, and a much smoother gameplay experience in Manhattan as we have put countless hours into improving performance, reducing crashes, and adding new emergencies. The developers of the rope physics system we are using for our hose physics have recently released a new version which we are working on redesigning and implementing this new optimized and more efficient system with new possibilities to have the hoses behave much more realistically and less erratically. 0.7.6 will be live on the staging branch soon. Thank you all for your patience while we work on ironing out the game so that it is a more rewarding and enjoyable experience rather than frustrating, repetitive and annoying.

Update 0.7.6's main focus is to bring back an enjoyable multiplayer experience. We have managed to fix most multiplayer issues and are narrowed down to the last few game hindering issues. The update will also include many optimizations, bug fixes, and a completely revamped Fire Academy with tons of new buildings, scenarios, and hours of new and exciting game play.

0.7.6 First Look! Huge Fire Academy Overhaul



Hey, everyone! I've been working on overhauling the fire academy to give it a little more..... substance? I've been studying the actual fire academy located on Randall's island and finding new things I could add to fill much of the emptiness in the academy as well as add more gameplay and variety to the map. So a long with different car accident scenarios, the return of car fire and bus fire scenarios, EMS training scenarios, we have added some pretty cool new stuff.



6 new buildings have been added so far with more coming.

1. A Victorian style private dwelling, complete with a full interior including an attic. This will make for some really difficult and aggressive firefighting.




2. A 2 1/2 story Private Dwelling complete with a basement and terrace.





These types of PDs are found all over Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx. Interpret what you may, but this new building along with the others will require different strategies and ways to attack the fire.

3. A huge Factory with tons of different possibilities for scenarios. This building is good for training on finding your way out of a maze. The building is huge and has tons of different rooms, stairwells, hallways etc.



4. 2 Warehouse buildings which give you access to the new Subway Simulator under the Fire Academy. This is an entirely new and super detailed subway station where you and others can train on several different underground fires which are a bit more complicated then those above ground. You can also train on Subway rescues such as someone pinned under the train or in between the train and the platform.







5. We finally added a much requested "garage" where all units will spawn in the Fire Academy rather than spawning in the middle of a parking lot.



Last but not least is the Field House. At this current point in time I'm not 100% what I am aiming at with this field house but it is something that the FDNY has at the academy. An indoor movie set style recreation of a street with store fronts and mock buildings.



Feel free to leave some input on what we can do in here. Overall though, 2 days in. The Fire Academy looks much better and has much more material and substance to it. Hope you all are excited for 0.7.6!

Many of you might be concerned about my priorities of what I should be working on. Working in the Fire Academy allows me to prototype, test, and fix features much quicker than in the Manhattan map. The benefit is that anything in the Fire Academy can be reused in the city with only a small amount of tweaking. With all of these new additions, the Fire Academy still runs very smooth with little to no difference in performance.

Our search for a new developer to solely focus on Optimization and improving the game's performance has led us to someone who is in the process of familiarizing themselves with the project. From there he will move into advanced profiling to locate exactly the main problematic areas and find the quickest and easiest ways to address them. We are excited for 2019. Lots of cool stuff coming guys! Stay tuned.
