Hey guys, thanks for your patience as I sort the remaining issues out. A lot of collision based issues arose in the last few patches as I had been tweaking the collisions and physics interaction layers to make selecting characters and vehicles easier, it seems to have messed with a bunch of mechanics and caused all sorts of issues. I’ve fixed most if not all of those issues that were reported as well as some more EMS bugs and miscellaneous issues. I still have a good amount of issues to address and am working on them actively. Trying to keep one or two patches coming out daily to get this update on the default branch as soon as its ready.

Thanks everyone for your patience while I continue to iron out the remaining issues with the AI update on the testing branch. I’m aware of several issues that occur when taking control of AI and am working on addressing those along with the rest of the bugs reported such as not being able to drop or connect hoses sometimes when taking control of AI. I’m hoping to have most of these issues sorted in the next few days. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to report these issues so I can fix them!

EmergeNYC AI Update 0.9.5 released to Testing Branch!



The AI update 0.9.5 has been released on the staging branch. To access the staging branch head to steam, go to library, right click on EmergeNYC and then select properties. Go down to Beta's and select the drop down menu and click on staging branch. The update will release to the default steam branch at the end of the week as I continue to iron out remaining bugs.

A new way to play

This update completely changes how the game can be played and adds tons of Real Time Strategy style AI mechanics to the game. (ONLY IN BROOKLYN FOR TESTING)

AI Firefighters & Paramedics that can be controlled and given tasks from the RTS Camera or while in control of a firefighter.

Units in Brooklyn will automatically respond to emergencies if they are spawned and assigned on the ticket.

AI Firefighters can be disabled to play the game without them

New revamped Montgomery County city area

The long awaited AI Update introduces a Real Time Strategy gameplay similar to the Emergency Series to EmergeNYC. This video shows the basics of how to operate with the new features and gameplay mechanics. This update will release to the public testing branch in the next week or two depending on any unexpected issues that may arise. Closed testing is going well and many bugs are being caught and fixed quickly to polish up the new experience for the public.
