Update notes for 7/22
- Fixes for Eternal Star mission - Bugfix for issue with picking up items post mission - Performance improvements
Patch notes for July 16th 2023
In addition to some general fixes, this update includes the following item fixes:
Lightning beam should fire more reliably now and has a bigger hitbox. Now that it works better, the cooldown was increased to 15 seconds
The Siphon system should work correctly now on player ships instead of saying "unavailable". The amount of shield drain it does was also increased.
Fixed some of the rules around the Fighter bay. The maximum amount of fighters it will spawn will depend on the amount of fighters currently in your fleet and your fighter upgrade level on your ship. Removed a 60 second wait before spawning fighters on player ships (now 10 seconds)
Patch notes for May 27th
- Added new "End Mission" voice command to return the bridge after a battle - Fixed achievement issue with being able to earn Endless Mode achievements in Story mode
Update 1.5 - Voice Control Activated
Greetings captains,
Your neural link to the battlefield has been upgraded! Now when you raise your wrist to view the Hand Menu, you'll be able to issue commands to your fighting vessels using your voice*. We've also revamped the menu to improve the ship display and made each section collapsible to let you streamline the Hand Menu to your liking. The Hand Menu can now be locked in place and repositioned as well so that you can continue to issue voice commands without keeping your hand raised.
[Check out the voice command trailer here ](https://youtu.be/XSI6DmDoVks)
All ships will now have a designation you can use when issuing commands. Friendly ships will use the color green (and a number) and enemy ships will be red. So if you want to order a friendly ship to attack an enemy, you'll say something like "Green 3 attack Red 2!" Ships can be ordered individually or as a group by saying "All ships" or "all fighters". In addition to attack commands you can order ships to enter formation by saying "Green 1 follow Flagship" or "Green 2 defend green 3". Voice commands can also be combined with hand gestures. You can say "Green 6, move here" and the ship will move to the spot indicated by your right hand. Saying "Flagship, attack this" will order the flagship to attack whatever ship your hand is currently touching - useful if your Flagship is out of reach or far away.
In addition to attacking, defending and moving, you also have access to issue the following voice commands:
* **Use systems** - For example: "Flagship, deploy Fusion Beam" or when you really want to do maximum damage say: "Green 3 fire everything!" to use all offensive items on your current target. * **Retreat** - Order a strategic withdrawal by saying "Green 2 retreat". Ships will use any equipped defensive systems such as "Fold" or "Shell" to help them escape. * **Find a ship** - say "Show Red 2" to jump to that ship's position * **Target specific systems** - Say "Target Red 3's engines" to set your fleet's focus for this ship. * **Recall your fighters** - Say "Fighters, form up" to have them return to defending your flagship.
Voice commands take your immersion to the next level. They're also great to use when a ship is beyond your reach or for multitasking when combined with using your hands or controllers.
Be sure to check out the full list of voice commands using the list on your Hand Menu or in your flagship Infopedia. There are additional commands when on board your ship. Voice commands are provided using the official Meta Voice SDK.
* Note: Voice commands are currently only available to English language users. Voice commands are optional and can be fully disabled in game.
