Added two types of “LEDs” you can place, it’s easy to change their color and use them to decorate/organize your base.
We also reworked the way we add new placeable objects to the game and how we synch their changes (example light color) in the coop mode. So expect many additions to the base building/personalization portion of Arctico very soon.
Dev blog #1
Hello! Along with the launch of a new website we are also starting a dev blog!
We’ll do our best to post a development update at least once a week, most likely on Saturdays. We are very excited to share the stuff that we are working on.
This is what we have been up to:

Coop fixes/improvements:
-Fixed objects placed by p2 were sometimes invisible to the host.
-Fixed object replacing not working.
-Fixed crops from plants were not working for P2.
-Player 2 build menu updated.
-Now the other player’s icon shows in your map.
-Different sled color for Player 2.

-Objects can now be placed closer together
-Fixed UI bug when eating cooked meat.
-Reduced meat chewing/ water drinking volume.

After months of consideration we finally decided to change the game’s name. Our old name was born with a much different game, a game that was just a “survival” with nothing unique to offer other than a different transportation system (the sled). We were very inexperienced when we launched that game into early access back in 2014, and as we developed the game we also developed our skills and we got a better vision of what we could and wanted to do with this project.
With “Arctico” we are trying to make a calm exploration and base building game, a game you can play at your own pace, a game that offers beautiful lonely silent landscapes, a game that rewards you for studying and exploring this island.
We know there is lots to improve, and we are committed to get the job done. Below are some of the things we will be working on as the year comes to an end and a new year begins.
-Coop mode fixes and improvements.
-Base personalization.
-Abandoned items and stories from previous explorers and scientist.
