Though today we have nothing new to share regarding EWVR we did want to give you a little something as a thank you for supporting us.

This offer will be available for a short time after the game launches. In order to be eligible for this discount you must own EWVR before the launch of UNDYING.
Game development is tough, and sometimes things don’t quite go according to plan. Last time we posted here we had begun doing additional work on EWVR and were hoping to bring you some updates, which included a bunch of requested features to bring our game out of Early Access. Alas due to contract work, publisher commitments and a PANDEMIC we’ve had to move all our resources away from EWVR and solely into UNDYING.
We apologies for being quiet on the development front, sometimes these things just get away from you.
Although we have no additional news on EWVR, we do hope you check out UNDYING. We have been working very hard on it and are extremely excited to get the final game into people’s hands!

Game Fix: Black Screen Game Won't Launch
We have finally discovered the issue to the most common problem found by those in our community. We realise that people have been posting this issue for a long time now and we apologise for taking so long to get to the bottom of this issue.
The issue has derived from a corrupted save file. If you follow the steps below you can get back to slaying in no time.
Note: All your local save data will be lost (Online leaderboard scores will remain)
- Disconnect your computer from the internet.
- Delete you EWVR save data. It can usually be found here (Steam -> steamapps -> common -> Eternity Warriors™ VR -> EWVR_Data -> Saves)
- While still disconnected Open EWVR and play a round.
- Quit the game and reconnect to the internet.
- Relaunch the game. You will be prompted with a message that your Steam cloud save data and local data do not match. It will then ask you if you would like to continue with the Cloud data or Local. Select local.
- Your game should load properly. Enjoy!
We are still not sure why some players data are being corrupted, but we will be working on an update to make sure that this doesn't happen going forward. At this time we don't have an ETA on when this update will go live but we will be aiming to deliver it as soon as possible.
Again, we apologise for not fixing this earlier.

We have some good news!
It's been a while... last time we talked we gave an update that we had begun work on another game, and that we didn't know the future of Eternity Warriors VR. Well... now we do and we have some good news! We have restarted active development!
Development is going well on our new title Undying (which you can find on steam if you are interested) and we are finally at a point where we can give some of our resources back to Eternity Warriors VR.
So what can you guys expect from Eternity Warriors in the future?
Well, the team allocated to EWVR is very small and we are still working out what we are able to achieve moving forward, but you can expect that the scope of what we originally planned will get smaller. In the coming weeks we will give another update detailing features we plan to add into the game. So stay tuned for that.
For the more immediate future, we have a lot of catching up to do. We know we've been absent for a long time and we apologise. We are going to try and tackle the bugs that have popped up in our absence, but it might take a little time.

Update on Eternity Warriors VR
It's been way too long and we apologise, but we think you all deserve an update on the development of Eternity Warriors VR even if it’s many months too late.
So what happened? Why did we go silent for so long? Well, when EWVR first launched in Early Access it was actually doing fairly well. But unfortunately, EWVR was a very expensive game to maintain and the sales weren’t doing well enough for the game to sustain itself. So, we had to take on contract work, which meant our energy had to be shifted away from EWVR. This was obviously a really tough decision to make, but one we had to.
Our original intention was to always come back to EWVR once we were done with the contract work, but that sort of got away from us. We got inspired and started tinkering away at something new. Next thing you know, that little thing we were tinkering away with grew bigger and bigger and even managed to get picked up a publisher and became our next major project.
So over the next couple of months you might hear about this new project we have been working. It’s something we are really proud of, but it’s also something very different to what we’ve done with EWVR and we can’t wait to finally unveil to the world.
But what does this mean for EWVR? To be honest, we don’t know. The VR landscape has changed so much since we first started developing the game that it’s hard to say whether it would be worth it for us. Returning to EWVR has been a discussion we’ve had internally and one we continue to have. But at this moment in time we still don’t have a good definitive answer on the future of EWVR.
For the time being EWVR will remain as it is. The servers are going to remain up if you still want to play with friends and challenge high scores. Heck, if you just feel like being badass and killing some demons EWVR will always be there for you.
We understand that this might not be the news you wanted to hear and again we apologise for not giving you this update earlier. If you love EWVR we hope you continue to enjoy the game.

2. New characters, weapons training, unlock system. Now, players can use either Angel-type or Devil-type weapons to kill enemies and obtain the corresponding blue or red souls. When fighting stronger enemies, there is also a chance to obtain rare Original Sins, which can be used to unlock new weapons, enhance weapons, upgrade the hero’s base stats, or even to unlock new appearances.
3. Added a new enemy, Sinner, a type of enemy that drop bombs.
As there is a lot of content in this update, there are portions that we have not had enough time to polish. This includes the translation of text, which has been rushed so far. This will also be a main focus of our future development.

The Lunar New Year draws near for us and we will soon be having our annual holiday break to spend with our families. But before then we have a new update for you to sink your teeth into! so without further ado..... TO THE PATCH NOTES!:

- Co-op stages rebalanced! Before it was waaay to dangerous to go alone when attempting the co-op stages by yourself, some might even use the word "impossible". So now the difficulty will scale depending on how many players are playing.
