Friday Progress Report 275
We finally started implementing the Faeries, it will be a colony management minigame, Faeries will have their main colony in the large tree on the cliff near Momo's ranch, but you will be able to make them work on outposts you build around your farm, so they take care of crops for you, they will be able to harvest, water and sow crops
Faeries will also bring bugs and bug catching, every insect will have a use for Faeries, be it guard bees, livestock worms, silk-making moths and such, we might also make insect collecting on the museum a feature, similar to games like animal crossing, but this feature might take a little while to be implemented as it will be part of the NPC AI update (NPCs will go into the museum to look at stuff you collected).
The Faerie model is done, but we need to implement shaders for the eyes, mouth, blush and other face features, the pink area in the eyes will be replaced by the shader after the inner eye has been assembled so the eyes can have different colors, pupil shapes, etc...
I am also working on a new trailer to replace the year-old one that haunts the steam page and is probably the main reason no one buys the game.

Tutorial Update
We have added an 18 step tutorial to guide players through our game, the tutorial can be skipped if you already know how to play.

Features: Added a tutorial Implemented Instant Growth chemical that forces the plant to grow 4 days over two ingame minutes.
Changes: Removed the 'mouse fleeing' behaviour from the text boxes in the intro cutscene, but retained it in the quick guides. Improved the trade screen, no longer enabling buying fractions of the minimum amount per use for items that have such restrictions (seeds and chemicals) and automatically selecting the text field so you can instantly type the amount you want to buy.

We are almost done with the tutorial, should be done in a few days.
The tutorial will replace the old “guide” screens that appear after the intro (they will still be available on the Guides button in the main menu)
While my brother finishes implementing the tutorial I have started working on the Faerie Outposts, these are buildings you will place at your farm to house Faerie helpers, there is a tiny house on the top where the Faeries rest and store equipment/food and a bin in the bottom where they place harvested goods and you can collect later. These are about as large as a Trellis.
We have finally received the 10 reviews we needed, but… It didn’t help as much as we expected, there was a big jump on the day we hit 10 reviews (27 aug), but dropped like a rock afterwards…

Friday Progress Report 273
We have finished the charged tools this week, and we are now planning a tutorial, unfortunately the game mechanics are still not intuitive enough.
The tutorial will cover all the current features, it will be skippable for those who already know how to play.
After the tutorial we will stop stalling and will start the Faerie Village, should take at least a month to finish. This means the AI update is unlikely to start before November, as we still need another month to rework the grass and fix some serious grass loading problems.
