Improved Cloud Saving


Before this update all the save files would had been saved locally and then synced with the steam cloud from time to time, but this didn't allways worked for everyone, some times the whole progress could be lost.

Anyway, I re-wrote the system to now save all you're savedata directly on the steam servers which should hopefully now make it nearly impossible to loose any progress ever again.

Performance Improvement

In a nutshell, I reduced the amount of texture swaps and vertex buffers that have to be submitted to the gpu.

  • The Parry perk should now be fixed and work again.

This perk can be used to summon an Shield around you that will stay for 3 seconds, The shield will block an monsters catch and stun them for 5 sec, can be used once.

Made it so every Monster has the aditional Parry perk with 3 charges.

Performance Upgrade


Many of you sure know that the performance was indeed very bad, so I sat back the last weeks and re-wrote the code for rendering all 3D stuff which comes at the cost of an big performance increase, I also removed most if not all memory leaks.

New Monster | Hyla





Hex Mark
Leave a 64 pixel wide circle on the ground where you are standing. Any survivor who walks into it is weakened for 60 seconds (they can carry 3 less max keys and 1 less key for delivering). When a hex is triggered it will remain on the ground for the rest of the game but wont affect any more survivors. Has 5 charges. Charges and cooldown is shared with Hex ritual.


Hex Ritual
Works exactly the same as Hex mark except when a survivor steps on it,
you become invisible for 8 seconds. Has 5 charges Charges and cooldown is shared with Hex mark.



Hex Portal
Place down one 64 pixel wide circle on the ground where you are standing that looks identical to hex mark/ritual.
Does'nt affect survivors. Activating perk again immediately sends you below the circle and it takes 1 seconds to emerge to the surface,
gaining full stamina when finished. The circle remains on the ground but has no more purpose. Has one charge.



New Survivor Perks




Cloak
This perk can be used to become invisible, you cannot move while invisible, the invisibility ends automatically after 30 seconds unless canceled manually beforehand.


Dusk Veil
This perk item can be used to create a wall that you can walk through but cannot see. The wall will automatically disappear after 15 seconds.

  • added an monster queue system where players who want to be monster can enter, only players inside that queue will be choosen to be monster, except the queue is empty of course.
  • added out of bound checks so you can't for example place items out of bounds.
  • added an effect overlay that will show active effects on players.

  • Remade the top match UI.
  • Improved text clarity.
  • It can now be seen on the scoreboard and/or in the spectator camera how many keys a player is carrying.

  • The keys will now randomly spawn on the map.
  • The number of keys to be collected now depends on how many players are participating in the game.
  • Duke's earthquake is now blocked by solid objects.
  • Duke is no longer stunned by his own earthquake.
  • The range of dukes earthquake has been reduced by 15%.
  • Changed the sound when Trevor places his traps.
  • The warp pod will now change its texture after being used.

  • Fixed the bug that allowed keys to be partially collected through walls.
  • Fixed the bug that prevented monsters from being able to catch survivors in tunnels.

Playtest Event - Multiplayer

Hello everyone, Enreeper here.
Many of you sure know that the "EXIT 2 Multiplayer" hadn't the best performance, In fact it was very poor, Anyway, I recently sat back and started working on the multiplayer again, mostly I re-wrote the rendering, cleaned up the code and optimised a lot.

But not only that, I also improved the UI, Textures, Maps and the Main gameplay loop.
I changed some things to make the game better and also added an new (Monster & Gamemode) 👀

1.1.5 - The Speedrun Update

So a few people in the community pointed out if I could put the game on the website "speedrun.com" and after I sent a few emails they accepted it, pretty epic.

Anyway I decided to implement an speedrun mode into the story part of the game for easier speedrunning, I hope you guys enjoy it :D.

Multiplayer v1.0.0

After over an year of development the multiplayer version v1.0.0. is finally released!
for now most if not all important features are finally in the game, of course that doesn't mean the game will get no updates anymore.

I am really amazed by what this once little prototype has turned into, I am thanking everyone in the community for playing, giving feedback, motivation etc, You are an great community and I really like what it has become.

But for now I hope you all enjoy the multiplayer and have an fun time.

more language support

Added Language Support for ( Spanish & Italian ).

Multiplayer | Pre Alpha

You can now play the Open Beta of the multiplayer, to do this you need to switch to the multiplayer beta.


  1. - go to you're steam libary.
  2. - right click on "EXIT 2".
  3. - click on the tab called "Betas".
  4. - select the "multiplayer open beta".


after that the multiplayer should start download and after that you can launch and play it :D
