We do not currently have a planned date for an update with these features, but are working hard to bring you new content.
Questing!
This system has come a long way since the last update. It is mostly back-end work that those of us who don't know coding won't find interesting, but ensures quests work properly, have mapping and UI elements, and proper progression. We've already started designing some important quests. We can't wait to show off what NPCs will ask you to do! Questing will be involved in a variety of progression and unlocks within Farworld.
World generation
We continue work on adding planets, with work going well on volcanic and ice type planetary bodies.
Bootlegging
Why follow laws when you're on a colony? We're working on your own colonial distilleries to help you keep your colonists happy in new and fun ways.
Artificial Intelligence
Sorry, no Buddychatbot yet, but our work on AI continues nevertheless. -Colonist work hours are adjustable now. -Raiders and other monsters will try to break down colony defenses, and will attempt to strategize around their ability to do so. Overall AI has been improved to reflect this ability. -To counter raiders, colonists can be assigned to repair damaged blocks and structures. Colonists can also be given general guard tasks. -The ability to give direct commands to NPCs has been improved with better menu controls.

Other changes
-Stockpiles show off building items more specifically -Store items have proper detailed tooltips for items -Your ship will try to prevent you from leaving your ship onto dangerous planets without appropriate gear to survive. Proceed at your own risk. -More craftable blocks and objects were added, like glass furniture or stone structures. -More research to add progression and colony wide improvements to colonist skills like harvesting, mining, weaponry, and more. -A bunch of minor fixes that will be in a future update log in detail.

Playstation release date
Playstation Pioneers,
Thank you for your patience as we worked on the Playstation release. We're happy to announce you'll be able to experience Farworld Pioneers on Playstation 4 and 5 on October 10th.
We wanted to give a quick update on what's being worked on right now. Keep in mind none of this is guaranteed to be the final look or feel of what's being shown off.
New wildlife!
Ikkir has been making the mole-like enemy dig through terrain to try and reach the player, adding an additional level of challenge. In the long term, this enemy's behavior will be adapted to allow other enemies to pose an actual threat to colonies instead of aimlessly walking against doors hoping they'll open.

New locations!
Why stay on just a planet when you can explore its orbiting moons too? Look out for blocks you can only find there!
Alongside this, world generation is undergoing general changes to make it easier to add more content. In addition, the minimap will have a better understanding of visited vs undiscovered locations to make exploration more friendly.
Various block tiles have been improved to simply look better as well. HQ (the artist) has been experimenting with fences and more background blocks to break up the monotony of environments.
Questing!
The colonies are pretty empty, but the few NPCs floating around are happy to find work for you to do. The team has built a quest adding system to make this process easier as well.
Robo-friends
Why is the player a robot? Why is buddy a robot? Stay tuned to find out.
Other stuff!
There's a variety of bug fixes and other internal changes that will be in a full changelog once we have the next update ready. Some notable additions include NPC progression changes and food/hunger rebalancing.
Also a fix for console save issues is currently being tested to hopefully fix saving on Xbox and allow for the Playstation release. More info to come when a definitive patch date is available.
The Playstation version will unfortunately be delayed as we fix an issue with save files. Releasing in this state would be inappropriate and we will be working hard to create the best experience for you.
