Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #78 "Through the hoop!"
Hello Couriers!
A good delivery can be as smooth as throwing a perfect 3-pointer!
As we continue our work on refreshing the city and improving our courier we can't forget about... sport areas! Many cities have them - after all they strive to maintain their citizens well-being and condition! While you might be busy delivering the packages during your day perhaps you'll find a moment to rest and visit one of such areas?
As you know from our previous devlogs - our courier will have uncanny ability to throw packages. While we are not saying that it's the best possible way to deliver anything (especially if it's fragile) it is still a skill that is good to have. Now, we're not saying to check whether you can throw one of your packages through one of the hoops but as we all know - curiosity is a fickle beast and if you find yourself at its mercy...
Just make sure nobody is around when doing that!
Thank you for checking in with us - see you in our next devlog!
We're happy to say that we are currently working on the animation and polishing all effects that you will see in the game!
As we progress with our work you will definitely see more and more of a positive difference happening on the screenshots and gifs - we'll be happy to share more with you in the coming days! Right now we're dedicated to improving all parts of the game that we've created up until this moment. This process is difficult but we are more than up for the challenge as we want to make sure that the game you will receive will be great fun!
Our courier is already getting ready to do his job - steadily and vigorously marching toward the truck - very similar to how we approach the development process. We are making sure that everything will work as it is supposed to work and while it might take time we know that the final product of our work will be more than worth it! Most importantly - we can't wait to see you deliver the packages!
Thank you for checking in with us - see you in our next devlog!
As outside gets warmer and more inviting we thought about all of our couriers who would love to sit back in the shade of a cafe's umbrella and enjoy themselves...
Don't be alarmed if you see our track when you're chilling down in the nice cold breeze after a day's work! While most often it will be you driving this particular track perhaps you will also have an opportunity to see it from the other side...? There are some renovation works on-going in the city so you might be surprised to see what's coming in the next week.
While the screenshot is just a little sneakpeek of what's to come you might start preparing yourself to see a renewed, colourful and full of life city that we're currently working on. Our developers are doing their best to make sure that the city will remain visually pleasing and will give you a lot of great moments when you'll be traversing its alleys and streets. Perhaps you will find yourself relaxing and looking at passing cars leisurely just as the person who took the photo above?
Thank you for tuning in this time - see you in our next devlog!
Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #75 "What's on the courier menu...?"
Hello Couriers!
Break is over - we're back with further changes for our game! This time we look at game menu!
Main menu is the first thing you will look at when starting the game so it's no wonder that we're treating it with utmost respect! We want to convey several things to you by just looking at it - we want to make you feel at home and what could transmit that feeling better than the image of our beloved truck? It definitely is much homely and better looking then a simple one-coloured menu!
A little nice touch, in our humble opinion, is an icon of a package serving as an on/off button. Those little features make menu navigation so much more enjoyable and even though it's a simple notion it still can create fantastic and pleasant experience.
Please however do keep in mind that this particular menu is still a work-in-progress prototype. We are sure to make additions and change the menu probably many times as we move on with the development.
However we publish it in order to ask for your opinion - how do you like this kind of menu? Do you have your own preferences? Perhaps you want to let us know about the possible direction we might take? We're very open for suggestions and we'd love to hear back from you!
Please leave us a comment with your opinion about our menu - we can't wait to know your thoughts!
Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #74 "Now for a breather..."
Hello Couriers!
With so many changes happening during last few weeks we feel that our courier deserves a little break...
Have you ever wondered what is our courier doing after his shift is over? Or... whether he ever ends his shift? Perhaps he is constantly at work, always making sure that the deliveries are going smoothly and without a hitch? While we believe that he would be more than capable of doing so we still think that he needs to catch a breather from time to time. Just... destress, refuel his energy tanks and then come back at it with triple the usual power!
The truck neatly parked next to the door signifies that he is finally getting his well-deserved rest. Perhaps after a short nap he will then go to the park for a short stroll or to a nearby cafe to grab himself some coffee? On his free time he is after all allowed to do anything he wants! What do you think our courier is doing after his job? As we do our best to enhance the game graphically we believe that he will have many different areas to visit and recuperate! And what is more - in future you can expect more place to visit and explore!
After all as we said previously - the city always changes!
Let us know about your ideas for the way our courier can rest - he might use some of them!

So many changes that we've been showcasing lately... and we're not stopping!
We've taken care of our courier's image, we've provided him with a new truck and we've even been diligent enough to prepare new boxes and packages for our customers. Everything for the sake of great deliveries and doing awesome job. However - that's not enough! We strive to make even more great adjustments and improvements and this time we're thinking... about you!
UI changes, afterall, are addressed to you! We want you to feel as comfortable when playing the game and enjoy the adventures of your courier to the fullest. A clean, nice looking UI is the way to go and we strongly believe that similar to package being important for the customer and truck for our driver - the new UI elements will be working in favour of your enjoyment!
Minimap, speedometer and even watch - all of them will be valuable tools letting you know more and perform your job on the highest level. As the dark blue is the colour that is inherently linked and combined with our company we decided to use it for the new UI elements and we believe that they look quite nice! What do you think? Be sure to let us know about your thoughts!
Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #72 "New package has arrived!"
Hello Couriers!
Did you know that over $150 billion is spent almost every year on producing packages around the globe? It's a beaming market and it's connected to our topic today!
As you can see we have just received new packages with the logo of our company visible on it! They seem to be sturdier, better looking and posses the necessary warnings and information - it's a top notch quality! As we strive to be the best delivery company we need to make sure that even on the level of boxes and wrappings we are the best around. After all our customers will appreciate the fact that we've delivered their goodies in a well-protected environment - safe truck, steady courier hands and reliable packages.
Here, take a closer look - the box is safely secured by the use of gray scotch tape, making sure that nothing will fall out from it. Additionally you can see a clear indication regarding how the package should be placed on the ground and where is the top/bottom. Address card added to the packaging completes the image.
What do you think about our new packages? Do you like? Let us know in the comments!
Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #71 "Look at those moves!"
Hello Couriers!
As we continue on our way to make sure that the game looks good and has its own style we're also working on animating our courier!
We're starting off with a simple walking animation that will be your bread and butter when playing the game. We know, we know - everyone likes to abuse the run button however sometimes it's way better to simply walk the distance instead of running it! Look at our courier and his dignified walking style. Definitely something to be admired!
Running, obviously also available in game, will carry the necessary weight to it. You can almost hear the sound of our courier's boots on the ground. He is determined to run to his destination and deliver the final package of the day. He can do it - look at his gritted teeth, full of passion for his job and not at all irritated that he has to do it once again today...
Think about it - how often do you jump in real life with a purpose to it? That's an interesting question, right? anyway, our courier might sometimes have to jump in order to traverse a difficult terrain. In this case we wanted to encapsulate his whole being and make the animation as realistic as possible. You be the judge - what do you think about this animation?
Thank you very much for tuning in this week! Cheers!
We are aware that many of you have you favorite way to play games – be it gamepad or keyboard and mouse.
We believe that all of you should be free to choose your preferred way of gaming! That is why we plan for the game to be able to handle both ways of controlling your main character and his trusty truck. As you might notice there is a lot of various functions that you can use in-game meaning that a lot of buttons will have to be pressed!
While there are many options and many keyboard shortcuts to facilitate the gameplay we are preparing for you, we will also make sure to not forget about the gamepad players and make sure to develop the game in a way that would allow for more than comfortable gameplay with a pad in your hands. Currently we have prepared the button scheme visible below but we might still revisit it and change the buttons depending on the internal testing.
Bear in mind that those screenshots are still Work in Progress and as such they can be change - including the functions the buttons serve!
Let us know what kind of player you are – do you prefer pad or K&B combination?
