Just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year (even though I'm a week late) I do aplogize that I'm behind as I've been tied up from developing FV over the last 2 weeks.
Now that everything is (mostly) back to normal I will be looking at running another tournament hopefully in late January and have the floating island map completed! The tournament will be team based, 2v2 and I'll have more details for you later this week.
Here are a few screens of the latest progress on the map, let me know what you think! (I love foliage :D)

First Tournament Summary
Hey everyone, just wanted to make a quick follow up announcement congratulating the winners of the first 1 vs 1 FV tournament ever!
It was absolutely awesome to see players really try to gain the upper hand with their own play styles. Some choosing the complete mobility playstyle, others choosing a mixture of grappling and gravity or focusing on the mobility with ranged push orbs and grenades. Whatever their style was - each had pros and cons and it really shined here.
Congrats to the winners again, and keep an eye out for the next tournament happening soon!

1st Fatal Velocity Tournament Announced!
BIG NEWS everyone! We're running the first official Fatal Velocity Tournament Dec 16, 2017 at 2PM CST! The only entry requirement is to retweet/share this image, and take a screenshot of your post and put it here in this channel #fv-tournament! Keep in mind there are only 25 slots available. Rules and guidelines will be posted Monday.
Some unfortunate news here; I've decided to cancel the Kickstarter campaign. Seeing as we're only $1,458 out of $40,000 (only 3%) realistically it didn't look good.
Just wanted to say thank you to those who did support the campaign - development will keep going, I'll re-evaluate what I did wrong (like having a really bad trailer), and what I did right, relaunch the campaign in some time (Probably late Decemeber/early January) prior to the Steam Early Access launch to get those additional dev funds hopefully!

New Map & New Players
Check out some physics brawlin' action! I stayed and recorded the entire match in the newly minted spectator mode. Awesome to see other players hammering one another to pieces and it's just as fun to watch it unfold.
I will be straight the point. I've waiting to get to an event to show Fatal Velocity off for since the first week of development. To be at an event where hundreds, no... thousands of people can see the game is incredibly awesome. I love getting their honest opinions of the game face to face, seeing the excitement or enthusiasm they had on their faces as they played the game. The best part of it all though? The problems that I thought were problems, were of no concern to the playtester.
We spent about the first hour dusting ourselves off, getting into the groove of approaching people cold, but after a while - it simply came naturally. Getting people excited to be Spider-Man with Goku powers in a Smash Bros Environment, adding the discovery of pickups that help amp up their capabilities added to our confidence to really seek out as many people as possible. In fact, we had to ask a few people who had been playing for quite some time to come back because we needed to free up a computer to get new players in, there was a small line forming!
This is the second day and we've given out hundreds of cards, received over a hundred subscribers to our mailing list and the requests for the testing builds keep coming in. Honestly, the response exceeds what I expected to hear back. I thought people would enjoy it, but not actually stick around to such a point where parents had to drag their kids/teens off. It's awesome, I can't thank the playtesting community enough. They're the ones who have helped me make the game what it is today. So if anyone from the playtest sessions is reading this, you have my sincerest thanks.
