This is a HUGE update. Probably biggest and most significant of them all so far.
Some of you already know but we and Sekai Project have been working on a second set of translations for milestone one that is 100% faithful to the original Japanese text. It is consistent with the tone of ms2a as well because they are both done now by the same person. This update has been in the works for a very long time now and we hope you all enjoy either a second read or the first more accurate dive into the world of fault.
Also very importantly, the original version is not gone! It will be forever saved on a branch where you can always revert to if you liked the first version. But from this point on, the author of the series, Munisix, considers the second version (the one that will be automatically downloaded when purchased by default) canon.
Thanks again!
fault at E3, AX, and a preview of SILENCE THE PEDANT
It's been quite a week! There's far too much news to fit into a tiny text box, but here we go:
As announced at E3, fault is heading to the PS4 and Vita! Not only that, but complete with limited physical editions!
In the meantime, we've finished up designs for our AX merch! Check them out at @projectwritten!
And finally... we'd like to present a technical demonstration showcasing the new mechanics in the upcoming fault - SILENCE THE PEDANT! Our patrons graciously voted to publically release this improved version after a closed beta test. We'd like to thank them for taking the time to test and offer feedback!
As always, those wishing to follow our development process more closely can find us on Patreon.
We'll see you all at AX!
ALICE IN DISSONANCE coming to Anime Expo!
We are honored to announce that we are bringing a few of our close friends and developing partners as our guests to this year's Anime Expo in Los Angeles:
From the Japanese doujin circle, ALICE IN DISSONANCE, creators of the fault series: founder, writer and director, Munisix, and art director, Hare Konatsu!
From CreSpirit, the Taiwan-based development studio behind the wildly popular 2D exploration platformer, Rabi-Ribi: CEO and president, Sirluma, translator, Ian Lee, and artist, Saiste!
From Japan, the face of NEKO WORKs, leading the drafting, artwork, and release of everyone’s favorite catgirl comedy series, NEKOPARA: Sayori!
In anticipation of Anime Expo, Sekai Project is also launching a special giveaway campaign on social media. Starting the week of May 23rd, every Friday leading up to AX on July 1, Sekai Project will select the best or most interesting social media post from Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or Instagram that uses the hashtag “#NEKOPROJECTAX.” Winners will receive NEKOPARA-themed prizes!
Stay tuned for more information on this campaign that will be posted soon on our blog and social media pages.
Spring Cleaning!
A maintenance release for the ongoing sale!
For those following the ms1 Vita edition progress on our Patreon, this may not be the update you are looking for. Stay tuned!
Minor surprise feature: ms1 now understands enough of the pre-3D Camera version saves to put you back at the start of the chapter you were on. Hopefully this helps those with old saves.
