What Should the Common Name of Feign Characters Be?
It's time to give a known name to our feisty, tiny, colorful, sweet but deadly characters in Feign. What should be the public name of these characters, if you have a suggestion, we welcome you to share it here. You can think of the Smurfs as an example. Consider that we say papa "smurf" or farmer "smurf": here we want to hear your name suggestion instead of smurf :) A few little reminders: 1) This name will be used in all languages globally, not only in English, so you should keep that in mind 2) The word may not have any meaning at all, or you can choose a word with meaning (in English or in different languages), at the end of the day, if the name of the Feign characters is decided to be your suggestion, it will be used as a proper name that you share. 3) It may be nice to have a name that is easy to say, catchy, and suitable for the general characteristics of the characters, but of course, you can come up with a very different idea, it is entirely up to you.

Feign is 1 year old !
This is it, today we finished our first year of Feign since our early access launch on Steam. Hundreds of thousands thanks to everyone who enjoys Feign.
If you remember, we had a big 4-stage update plan for Feign that we shared with you, and today we are proud to say as we completed all of those. Now today we are sharing a new set of major update goals for the upcoming months.
In the first major update, we brought global chat and auto-translation to the game. The aim here was to remove the language barrier a bit and allow players from all over the world to experience the game together.
We balanced the characters in the second major update. Some characters were very strong, others were very weak.
In the third major update, we added 3 new characters to the game. Tracker, Sorcerer, and Haunter characters.
In the fourth major update, we launched Feign Mobile for android devices.
Now going forward our aim with major updates is as follows.
5. We will have the skin system released to the game. This will allow us to have all the different costumes for our cute Boi's :)
6. With the arrival of our new characters we realized that there is a need for a new character balance for an improved game experience. In this step, we will carefully do this. Also, there is a need for a colorblind mode for accessibility to our game. We will also add this new feature to the game in this step.
7. When you die in Feign, it becomes hard to follow what is happening in the game. We will add a new dead vision to the game where whenever you die you can use this role to see exactly what one of the alive players is seeing during that night. We are sure this will be a lot of fun :)
8. In this 8th step we are planning to make major UI improvements for our lobby creation, end game, and many more screens.

Some final words of what we added today:
Now you can create a game with a much longer daytime to discuss more if you want. An extensive player base was wanting to have more daytime, so we added 600seconds and 1200seconds options for the daytime game. We are discussing adding even longer options but this is to be decided later.
We were getting complaints that some of our players were using some very disturbing lobby names, so as a temporary solution, we decided to lock lobby names. So for now you can not edit your lobby name and it is given by default as <>'s Lobby.

As you all know we enabled Cross-Play of Feign with Android Devices almost 2 weeks ago. So many new players have joined our PC players in the game, way above our expectations. You can see this situation in the game due to the intensity of the global lobbies.
Although all this new player mass makes us very happy, we were aware that there were also some players who were experiencing problems such as slowdown in the game, late starts or not being able to start the games due to this density and new bugs that come with Feign mobile.
We worked hard and solved all these problems! However, let us remind you that you can always report any problem you encounter with our bug report tool (the little red bug button in the upper right corner of the game 🙂).
Here is the list of items that are solved or added :
A bug is solved that prevented some lobbies to start.
A bug is solved that caused some players to drop from the game.
Version control added for overall game experience.
Automatic decks are updated
Fixed a bug preventing Sorcerer to select an innocent investigator when using its role.
Speak visualization button added for mobile players, so they can also show you in game that they are talking if you are in a discord channel together.
In game notification system added for better communication with players. There are 3 types of notifications with a white or yellow or red label as shown below:
Feign Mobile is Coming Out on October 1st to Android !
The day has come. Feign Mobile is out for Android-based phones and tablets on October 1st.

The fourth major update also finally arrived. Feign Mobile!
Feign Mobile will be free for the first 24 hours for Android-based phones and tablets on October 1st. After the campaign on the first day, the paid sale of the application will continue.
Of course, for now, Feign will only be released to the Google Play Store, that is, to androids. Unfortunately, it will not be on the Apple App Store for now. App Store side will be released in the future.
With this new update, a brand new language is added to the game: Indonesian
We also made some changes and fixed some bugs along this update.
Lookout can now see the Tracker and insane Tracker.
When an insane role was blamed it appeared as a red insane. This major bug is also fixed for good.
Some of our players were getting stuck on the loading screen for no reason from time to time. We investigated and fixed this issue.
We also added a new error message when there is a steam initialization error is detected, explaining what you should do step by step.
The bug report tool is upgraded. Now you can upload your bugs twice as fast as before.
We were getting complaints about players who were sending very long messages in chat. In-game chat messages are now limited to 500 characters.

Quick Play mode improved - Now you can play Feign much faster!
As you know, we released the Quick game mode about 4 months ago. This game mode puts you in an official lobby where you play with random players from all over the world using only in-game written text.
We've already made some improvements to this game mode as we listen to your feedback. Today, we evaluated your requests and made improvements to this game mode with this regular update (release v.0.3.1)
Now you will be able to start the game much faster in the quick game mode. As soon as 4 people enter this lobby, the counter will start counting down from 100 seconds. During this time, new people may enter the lobby, but if there are still 4 or more people in the lobby when 100 seconds is over, the game will automatically start with a deck suitable for the number of players in the lobby. In this way, we will be able to switch to the game without having to wait for the lobby to fill up. Also, as before, especially for this game mode, when the lobby reaches 8 people, the lobby will be able to switch to the game immediately without waiting for the 100-second counter to expire.

Our new Character Pack is here ! Haunter, Tracker, and Sorcerer!
3 New Characters are added to the game with this major update v.0.3.0 One of them is an innocent role which also imposters can have. Two others are neutral roles that can change the course of gameplay. Let's check them one by one in detail:
Haunter
He puts a candle in the house of a person he wants at night.
If he can get kicked out of the village in the morning, he will come to the house where he put a candle the next night, haunting him.
Even the doctor can't save the attacked person. Survivors' shields can not defend against this attack either.
The condition for the Haunter to win is to get himself kicked out of the village and kill the person he puts a candle in at night.
One last extra tip is that when you see the traitors killed the player you put the candle in, you must do your best not to be kicked out of the village that round because if you do, you will lose the game since you will not be able to kill your target in the night.
At night, the sorcerer can cast a spell on any player he wants by casting a spell with his book.
As the sorcerer does his attack without leaving his house, neither the trapper, the police nor the scout will be able to stop the sorcerer while he performs his lightning strike.
As if that's not enough... even the doctor can't save the player he struck by lightning.
The sorcerer is unstoppable and although he is an expert at not getting caught by the villager, he has bigger problems to watch out for.
The sorcerer must correctly ascertain the role of his chosen one in order to be able to attack. If he guesses the player's role correctly and casts a spell, he will kill the person.
If he guesses the wrong role, he won't be able to cast the spell correctly and the 3rd lightning bolt will fall on the sorcerer himself, turning him into ashes.
Both of the new neutral roles are designed to open a 3rd discussion mechanic door to the game. Even the possibility of a sorcerer being in the game opens up a new mechanic for the traitors. When they are forced to tell their role they can persuade the town to wait a little longer. Or a traitor who was caught lying might say that I deliberately said my role differently because there is a sorcerer in the game, otherwise, he could have killed me. Also, the role haunter makes both the innocents also the imposters think twice before kicking someone out of the town because they can be the ones haunted at night.
In addition, a new soundtrack has been added to the game with this major update.
