Hello again,

In this patch I have now added a check box to enable or disable the "Vision" mode. In the future i think i shall be removing the mode entirely, so please test without it and let me know how you feel.
Currently the monsters only spawn in the forests (they will chase you out though...), I will soon be moving these to also spawn in more populated areas such as the bases.

I have also spent a lot of time improving the UI further, and fixing a lot of small animation bugs to make these look much more polished.

Fight or Flight - 0.40.7 - Vision, Yes/No?

Hi Team,

First off I want to start these notes with a question for the community.

What are your thoughts on the Vision mode? I am considering removing it, so you can no longer track the monsters so easily, and adding more monsters in each match.
I feel like this feature does not fit very well with the theme of the game and it should be removed.

To the notes, Pushing out a patch to fix a major issue with network players that happens when clients are 3+km away from the hosting player, It was somehow missed during testing. (Big thanks to "furupoweru" for the bug report :)
This is now resolved.

The other big change is all of the weapons have now been re-balanced.
Most assault rifles are 4 body shots for a kill. Most Pistols are 5 body shots, SKS is 3, SVD is 2, Shotgun is 1. This is all of course dependent on where on the body you hit the character and what armor they have. Head shots are x2 damage for example, so go for those head shots!

Still working on many other features in the background, I will inform you when the time is right!

Please note; Performance may struggle on the machine hosting the match if there is a lot of AI, AI is very CPU intensive, that coupled with very very long draw distances, if you are hosting a game make sure your PC is up to it.
(sniper heaven, I've had a kill at 2.5k using the SVD, try beat that, i will try add some more details in the map to measure this :P)

Fight or Flight - 0.40.65 - Hotfix + Turbo

Hi guys!

There are a few little things that i think is important to point out in this patch.
First of all, I have added a turbo boost to the vehicles! :)
It can be used by holding your "Sprint" key while driving, there is a small blue bar under the RPM counter that shows how much boost you have remaining, once you stop using it, it will regenerate over time.
Second, something that has been requested quite a bit. When playing singleplayer (offline) mode you no longer have to wait for the 120 second warmup, this will be reduced to 5 seconds.
Third, Bots now dont spawn until 3 minutes into the match, this just gives you a little bit of time to get ready.

Next up i will be continuing to work on improvements to the level, such as making area's like the school and office blocks more dense.

Just a small patch this week to fix some annoying bugs! :O

Patch notes:
Vehicle; Fixed bug with vehicle animations sometimes getting set to the incorrect seat for remote clients.
Vehicle; Fixed visual glitch when player exits vehicle.
Player / UI; Map location marker now shows up on screen as well as map, it also reports the distance until you reach the marker. Markers can be added by clicking on the map, removed by holding shift and clicking.
Weapons; Visual recoil tweaked on all AR's and Rifles.
Level; Fixed bad spawn locations for vehicles in Mil Base.

Big changes!

Hi guys, Perhaps the biggest change with this update is the ability for you to start a server, and then have your friends join via steam.

Right now the system is very rudimentary, and will be improved with a full lobby system and squad modes at a later date.

Fight or Flight - 0.40.61 - Engine upgrade and more!



With this patch we have upgraded to Unreal Engine 4.26!!!
4.26 gives us new rendering features, which we will be implementing in the coming months. With this change we have also implemented an experimental DX12 mode, which can be access by starting the game with the DX12 option.

In this patch we have also adjusted the height of the entire level, it is now ~15-20% higher, this means more hills, and provides a more interesting landscape :)

New game mode!
A new "Training" game mode has been added, this mode is similar to Drop Zone, but when you spawn in you get to pick from 4 differnt load outs.
These are "Rifleman", "Support", "Marksman" and "Special Forces", Each class will spawn with a primary and secondary weapon and ammo!

Audio improvements
A complete overhaul of all Spatilization and Occlusion for all sounds. This means that sounds will more accurately reflect the surroundings. It will now also be easier to pin-point the direction that the sound is coming from.

Vehicle's improvements
A new "reset" feature for vehicles has been added, this can be triggered while the vehicle is at a complete stop (handbrake "right mouse", then press "R").
This is helpful for getting the vehicle unstuck if needed :)

Menu changes for "PLAY" menu
This has been updated to now read:
FIND MATCH, BROWSE OFFICAL, BROWSE LOCAL, START OFFLINE.
You can start a single player match from the "Start Offline" option. The new Browse local option will show you LAN matches, and is a future place holder for open public hosted servers.



Remaining fixes and changes as follows:

This patch focuses mainly on bug fixes, and small QOL changes to improve the overall experience.

Patch notes as follows;
UI; Improved item pickup/interaction UI, This now has 3 differnt options in the "UI" menu settings. Off, Small or Large. Default setting is "Small"
UI; Improved crosshair, also added hit marker cross
UI; Added hotkeys into inventory screen (same as weaponbar)
UI; Add FPS cap for menu, independent of game FPS cap
Animations; Tweaks to 1p crouch so that it looks smoother
Animations; Fixed bug with crouch animation causing a flicker in 1p
AI; Fixed speed of footstep sounds on bots, also have increased the volume slightly

Extra notes:
The number one complaint that we have had over the past few months has been about poor loot distribution, I just want you to know, that we hear yah!
There have been a number of small changes to the way the loot works in this patch, which should help a bit.
Over the next few weeks there will be a focus on fixing this issue!

Fight or Flight - 0.40.5.81 - Hotfix

This is a small hotfix to fix a bug that snuck in after the latest patch.
The issue was critical enough to warrant a hot fix, as it was causing major issues for players when exiting vehicles.

A new vehicle has also been added as a surprise! ;-)
