Fight or Flight - 0.40.5.8 - Patch notes

First off, apologies that this next patch has taken so long to complete, I'm sure this last few months have been challenging for everyone, so thanks to those that have been waiting patiently for the patch!

Going forward things should be much quicker now, and the patch frequency will be back to normal very shortly!

Here is a list of fixes and changes for this patch.

Fight or Flight - 0.40.5.8 - Patch notes
Misc; Max player count increased to 64 players. Max bot amount increased to 60 for single player.
*NOTE*: Having 60 bots, and zombies and monsters will have drastic performance issues on older CPU's. Full bots, and no zombies should be okay on older cpu's...

Player; Increased player base health to 150
Player; Added 3p camera ("c") with freelook "alt", this is an *experiment* to see if the community likes it
Player; Player run speeds tweaked further, player can get 15% faster by holstering their weapon "x", also tweaked strafe speed while sprinting...
Player; Removed the "roll" from the camera bob
Player; Can now consume consumables while walking
Player; Low health visual effect improved
Player; Small changes to cosmetics so that certain hands match top color better
Player; Fixed bug causing Warmup loadout to not get ammo some times
UI; Alive player count added to player minimap for br modes
AI; Fixed bugs causing monsters to enter houses
Loot; Increased amount of armor loot
Loot; Increased amount of G18 and M9 pistols
Level; Lighting re-done for all times of day (my fav is 6:45am! please note this is still WIP)
Misc; Improvements to server memory use, should result in less hitching
Misc; New menu music added!

Fight or Flight - 0.40.5.71 - Hotfix, Bugs and Sounds...

A small hotfix after some feedback from this weeks patch :)


AI; Bot AI shot cool down times tweaked, 90 and 100 skill will range from about 0.25s to 0.5s with some rng
AI; Fixed bug where bot would fire blanks on first shot after switching weapons
Weapons; New sounds for AAR56, RU74, RU105, RU74S (please keep in mind these are all work in progress, good sound takes a lot of time to get right :)

This will be the last patch for the year, thanks for all your feedback, it has helped us make massive improvements already!
I hope that you all get some time over Christmas/New Years to have some matches!

Fight or Flight - 0.40.5.7 - 10/10 Floating wolves!




Hi Guys,


Here is this weeks patch with plenty of fixes to the most commonly reported bugs!
We will be taking some time off from patching over the Christmas period to ensure stable and reliable servers over the break.
During this time we will continue to work on the game, and will also work on a road map which will be released early next year so that players will have some idea of where the game is heading.
This will be a preliminary plan, with room for peoples suggestions and ideas. It will include things such as, an engine upgrade, a complete rewrite of the monster and bot AI, more poi's, more monsters etc...

Patch notes:
AI; Resolved issues with Wolves, Zombies, Spiders and Bears clipping through buildings and floating when in an idle state
AI; Player collisions fixed on Wolves, Zombies, Spiders and Bears
AI; Bear now has a secondary attack (standing up and stomping...) watch out! O_O
AI; Monsters will no longer slow down from hit damage unless hit is very high damage
AI; Aim accuracy added to Bot AI. This is scaled based on Bot Skill...
Player; Fixed bug causing consumables (ie bandages) to stay on screen briefly if consume is aborted
Player; Fixed bug causing consumables to not display animation on some enemy players
Player; Fixed bug causing hip-fire animations to look incorrect
Player; Fixed bug causing weapon to not change back after a failed attempt to consume item
UI; Fixed bug with death messages not displaying icons correctly for certain damage types
Vehicles; Fixed bug when vehicle would sometimes disappear after exiting
Vehicles; Fixed bug where other vehicles would sometimes disappear after exiting a vehicle
Vehicles; Fixed bug where parachute would deploy if you got flung off a vehicle at a high enough speed
Loot; Decreased min bot death loot, and made the results a bit more random
Weapons; New sounds for SKS,SVD,AAR4 (WIP)
Weapons; New reload sounds for various weapons
Matchmake; Fixed occasional crash from match making
Matchmake; Server will now force start a match 3 minutes after the first client connects



Servers are currently running with 8 bots at 50% skill, please let me know if this is too easy!

Patch notes:

Monsters; Improved all monster behaviors
Weapons; Improved iron sights on all AK's
Weapons; Fixed zero on TT pistol
Weapons; SKS base damage dropped from 52 to 42 (we will be posting a guide shortly with all damage details)
Weapons; Shotgun tweaks, velocity increased, spread decreased
Weapons; All weapons now have reworked spread. It will increase when jumping/running/walking. Only affects hip-fire
Weapons; Cosmetics are now loaded in warmup as well (enjoy your golden revolvers :)
Weapons; BR and Hunted modes where not getting Melee, this was a new bug, it is now fixed...
Sounds; Improved jump/vault sounds. Replaced item pickup sounds. Added sounds for all consumables.
Player; Increased base walk speed slightly
AI; Tweaks to AI optimizations, should result in *less* floating/clipping zombies
AI; Zombie de-spawn tests now also take vehicles into consideration
Loot; Loot levels increased across the board (there might be too much ammo now, we will continue to tweak)
Loot; Increased airdrop loot significantly
Level; Collisions fixed on school building windows
Level; Collisions fixed on tree branches
Level; Some more buildings have been added into the level



The most important of all, we have added a new monster (giant angry bear). He is VERY dangerous, so please be careful!




This weekend we will be running a special one off flash sale! If you like the idea of zombies and monsters in BR this weekend would be a great time to check it out!

Another week another patch!


Weapons; Random spread deviation on AR's decreased, now does not apply spread on first round of burst
Weapons; 3x Magnifier and 4x ACOG sights now work correctly on rifles as well as ar's, reticles have also been reworked
Weapons; Grenade explosion radius increased (will do 50dmg at 10meters, 200dmg within close range), Added camera shake for explosions
Weapons; SKS: increased mag size to 12, reduced recoil 20%,
Weapons; Bug causing melee weapon to stop working is now resolved!
Weapon Attachments; Compensator no longer muzzles the weapon sound and flash, it now only decreases recoil
Weapon Bar; Weapon bar hotkey for flare is fixed, Quick consume keys shuffed -> 8 = Bandage, 9 = Small Health Kit, 0 = Energy Drink
Character; Fixed issue where player could vault *into* a tree causing them to get stuck!
Character; Improved monster vision effect, this is a work in progress, and still quite likely to change
Bots; Bots now open doors!
Level; Some more buildings have been added into the level, we will continue to add more buildings every few weeks...
Level; Lighting presets tweaked, night time is now darker, remember you have a flash light you can use by pressing "T" :)

This patch is focused on fixing up some small bugs, and improving the weapon scopes.

UI; Selecting "Auto" in match making region will now calculate the best region for you based off latency
UI; Inventory, dragging an equipment item onto an already equipped item will now replace currently equipped item!!
Level; Fixed issue with bullets and windows on houses (you can now shoot through windows, destructible windows are planned for the future...)
Vehicles; Improved speed of entering vehicle, you can now start driving faster :)
Vehicles; Fixed bug occurring with hitboxes after exiting vehicle
Weapons; All rifles iron sights zeroed to 100m
Weapons; All scopes zeroed to 100m
Weapons; Part of the weapon sway system has now been removed, it was making lining up the scopes too inconsistent and hard, this will make sniping a bit more enjoyable


As the dust is settling now we will be shifting our focus more towards the level, adding more buildings and expanding on area's.

0.40.5.2 - Patch Notes

This patch is mainly focused on the AI improvements, and cleaning up a few things after everyone's feedback.

Bots; Bot skill option added in menu, scale 0-100, This is very basic at the moment and will change the bots vision and rate of fire (will be expanded on)
AI; Fixed various bugs with AI's, they can now keep up with player better
UI; Improvements to server browser
UI; Killfeed simplified for killed by zone or environmental damage
Character; Improved vaulting system to make it smoother
Character; Decrease strafe and backwards walking speeds slightly, this is so when trying to escape a zombie or monster the player can no longer run backwards to avoid them
Weapons; SVD rate of fire increased
Weapons; SKS now also semi auto with increased rate of fire, I will be adding bolt rifles back in the future.

Known issues: Bullets will despawn when shot through glass on houses, this will be resolved with the next patch (will be large)



I hope you enjoy these changes, Setting the zombie rate to 4x is lots of chaotic fun! :>

0.40.5.1 - Hotfix Patch Notes

We have just applied a small hotfix that addresses a few small issues.


Matchmake; Server and client issues resolved. Matchmaking now occurs in about 2 minutes. Join the discord if you are having issues finding matches, help us grow the community!
UI; Server browser implemented, this can be found under "play" and "search", this can help people joining games with their friends until the player base grows more, please remember the game is new! :)
UI; Zombie spawn rate option added for local matches, "play", "start local" can be set to 2x,3x,4x, please note this can affect performance on weaker CPU's.
Loot; Loot levels tweaked for weapons (this will take time to improve and likely need more tweaking)
Weapons; SVD changed to semi auto rifle like IRL


For the next patch some more of the suggestions from players will be implemented, and bugs fixed.

Also a small mention that we are actively engaging with many streamers in an effort to get the game more known and grow the player base!
