We're sorry for the delay, but it's finally time to gear up and go have some fun!
SIIC has just stocked the ship up with what was originally going to be dubbed the "Passenger Shield". Initially designed to protect Residents who had a few too many when they inevitably fell over, the helmets seem to stop preventing fall injuries when CAIN goes rogue. Maybe you'll be able to find a use for them?
SIIC has also been working to expand on the options available for your custom cruises! We've brought the Technical team in this time, and with their help we've got two new offerings.
First up is "Anonymous Personoids". This cruise option will stop CAIN from communicating with Personoids to let them know who else is a Personoid. The goal of this offering is to help you feel like you've got more Residents alongside you on your journey, and feel less out of place while partying with a Personoid!
On top of that, the Technical Team has figured out a maintenance routine that has completely reduced the chance of any catastrophic events happening onboard. This is an extensive maintenance routine, though, so we're only offering this for Custom Experiences at this time!
We hope you enjoy these updates, and look forward to the ones we have planned in the future. As always, make sure you stay connected by joining our Discord. We love to hear your feedback and we're always keeping an eye out for any bugs you find, so make sure to post those in the right channels in Discord or share them with us on our feedback and bug report site!

NEW FEATURE: Personal Defense Helmet Block and knockback one attempt to be syringed by a Personoid.
Custom Game Parameter: Hidden Personoids With this parameter Personoids no longer know who is on their side.
Custom Game Parameter: No catastrophe events With this parameter activated you completely remove the random catastrophe event from appearing.
When using the "Hidden Personoids" setting in custom games, Personoids are able to use text chat to reveal themselves to the other Personoids. This is planned to be fixed in a following patch.

SIIC's security division has spent a lot of time coming up with new ways to ensure Passenger safety. To minimize the time the Alithea has to spend in the dock, they've designed a few ways of signaling other Passengers when you need to hold important discussions.
The first of these is the Security Meeting button located in any security rooms you find onboard. These can be activated every 2 minutes, and will send out a signal visible to everyone in your area letting them know that you want to hold a meeting. These meetings are entirely voluntary, though, as we don't want to interfere with how people are enjoying their cruise!
The Security team also considered that sometimes you may just need to bring attention to something. Maybe a syringe is missing, maybe you found a spilled cocktail, who knows? That's where the Meeting Beacons come in. These portable beacons give you a chance to let everyone know that there's something there. What could it be? Well, you'll still need to hang around to tell them!
Of course garbage can pose a danger as well. Slipping and falling is definitely not great for your health! We've placed some trash compactors around the ship to help with that. We've received a few reports of Personoids mistaking bodies or oxygen canisters for garbage though so just keep your eyes out!
We're also introducing new ways to customize your cruise by adding options relating to oxygen. This gives you a vast level of control on how oxygen flows through the ship, allowing you to increase or reduce the risk on board. We have also increased the maximum length of a cruise from 1 hour to 2 hours. We know Passengers often love adrenaline, and what's more exciting than flying on a luxury cruise ship with just barely enough oxygen for a round trip!? We hope these options give you a lot of control over the balance of your personal trips to make it a more competitive experience.

NEW FEATURE: Security Meeting We have added the big red button to the security areas. Now you can run to the security room and press a button that will alert everyone that you would like to talk. It is then completely voluntary if people want to join in or the meeting or not. Ignore it if you want, go take part in the discussion or use it as an opportunity to cast doubt. The alarm lasts for 20 seconds. We will monitor this feature to make sure that it does not take away from the gameplay and therefore we rely on you to join our Discord/use our feedback system on our website to tell us how you feel about it.
NEW ITEM: Meeting Beacon The meeting beacon is an item that you can throw around to gain the attention of players. Maybe you found a corpse that you would like people to come and see, or maybe you found a syringe missing..
NEW ITEM: Trash Compactor The trash compactor is a trash chute that you can use to get rid of your Oxygen Canisters as a Personoid. You can also use it to dispose of bodies that you don’t want those pesky residents tripping over. This item is part of our ongoing effort to make Personoids stronger. We will continually add more things to make Personoids more balanced.
NEW FEATURE: Main menu scrolling info box We quite like our service message, but we thought it would be cooler if it could show images. So we did just that. It can now show images and we have given it the ability to open up a link to the news that the image represents.
New Custom Game Parameter: Amount of Oxygen This parameter adjusts the maximum amount of oxygen that is available to the players (the top bar). You can create very frantic games where the oxygen is only 25% of the default or more slow paced games where the oxygen is as high as 200% more.
New Custom Game Parameter: Oxygen Canister refill amount This parameter adjusts the amount of oxygen that an oxygen canister provides to the shared pool when a person delivers them to an oxygen outlet. If you set it to 1000% you can be pretty sure that a single delivery will fill the bar all the way up!
New Custom Game Parameter: Oxygen Outlet sabotage amount When you adjust the oxygen sabotage amount you can make it more or less devastating when a Personoid sabotages the outlets. This can again be used to create very oxygen delivery intensive games.
New Custom Game Parameter: Oxygen Generator refill amount Much like the above with the oxygen outlet, but this is simply for the generators themselves - the large oxygen generators that normally provide a massive amount of oxygen to the shared pool. Now you decide how strong they are.
New Custom Game Parameter: Oxygen Generator sabotage amount Again like the outlets above you can tinker with how much a sabotage is worth.
New Custom Game Parameter: Oxygen Generator fail amount If you hadn’t noticed then there is a difference between when an oxygen generator fails to be repaired or if it is sabotaged. With this parameter you can fiddle with how devastating it is to fail a skill check when repairing the oxygen generator.
Changed the maximum amount of time that a game can carry on to 2 hours.
Added localization for new custom game settings.
Made the close button on the symbol puzzle the correct color when hovered.
Fixed the Vruumbas so they no longer excessively hover on the main menu.
Fixed a hole behind the stairs on Casino.
Fixed a lightmap error in the Mall.
Fixed some localization scaling issues on the Play Now tab.
This is a patch to address some of the problems that we/you have observed when playing custom games. It is of course a new feature and there we bound to bugs with it. Overall though it seems to be very well received and we are therefore happy to ramp up for even more custom games coming very soon. First of course we need to patch out the bugs first.
We also removed some more mechanics that people use to grief each other as people will sadly continue being dicks online :).
Have a lovely day! - Invisible Walls
Removed faction specific passenger logs in custom games if everyone is a Personoid or if there is only one Personoid/Resident. (These X & X belong to the same faction)
Removed passenger logs in custom games that state 2 person definitive passenger logs that state who a Resident and a Personoid is if there are no Residents. (X is a Resident and X is a Personoid)
Implemented a fix for custom games passenger logs if there is only one personoid or if everyone is a personoid. It will no longer be invalid.
Fixed characters being immovable if pushed while the symbol puzzle is open

Welcome to the first iteration of Custom Games. Now you get to decide how you want to play. It is important to note that this is just our first iteration of the features that we want to add. It is our goal to keep adding to this every month so in a few months time you can fiddle with every aspect of the game and tailor it completely your way.
We hope that you will like what we have done and that you will provide us with feedback on our discord so we know if we are going in the right direction with this new feature.
For now - enjoy!

New Game Mode: Custom Games When you have gathered 6 players into a party a new option to start a custom game starts. When you press the button a number of parameters appear. This is the first iteration of our custom game features, which we want to heavily expand monthly as part of our larger content updates. The custom game features are only meant for full parties as we still want to keep the base game as it is and if you want to fiddle with the settings it should be up for the party to decide and not for a random person joining in. This also means that if someone leaves in the Backfill/Prefill lobby then the game will revert to a standard game.
New Custom Game Parameter: Adjust amount of Personoids With this parameter you have the option of choosing the minimum and maximum amount of Personoids in the game. You can choose between 1-6. So yes you can all be Personoids if you want that.; or maybe you want to go hardcore with just a single Personoid.
New Custom Game Parameter: Adjust amount of Overdose Syringes With this parameter you decide how many syringes there are in the main levels only. You can pick between 0-6 so if you want a game where it is all about deception then set it to 0 or if you want to be chased around by a Personoids with all the weapons available to them, then you set it to 6.
New Custom Game Parameter: Adjust the amount of Main Levels A main level is the level after the Lobby. With this parameter you can add between 0-3 main levels. So now you can grab breakfast at the Mall, go for a swim at the resort and then grab dinner at the Restaurant before heading to the C.A.I.N. Server room; and yes by adding 0 main levels you go directly to the server room if you feel like doing that.
Localized additional content from last update. This will be ongoing monthly adding localization from the last update.
Lowered the LOD amount on the Extravagant Dragon Vruumba.
Changed the months from the Roadmap, which all were 1 month of. They displayed the internal sprints and not the actual targeted release dates.
Adjusted the sizing of the matchmaking messages to be more aligned to different languages.
Fixed multiple party invites being displayed at the same time. Now it will show the oldest invite until you dismiss the invite.
When you press return in the custom games settings panel as a host when searching for a match it will cancel the search for match.

When aboard the Alithea, you may feel that you’re the center of the universe, but in reality the true heroes are the ones working behind the scenes to make sure that you’re safe and taken care of. In this pack, we honor the everyday working heroes back at earth; the Waste Collectors, the Nurses, the Doctors and Firefighters that make sure you can sleep nicely in your cabin without worrying about being burned to a crisp.
SIIC has also introduced a roaming medical ambulance vruumba to take care of your every need; maybe you need a drink or a cigarette… or maybe you’ve actually gotten hurt.
Thank you so much for playing, and thank you to all of the working heroes for everything you do.
Here is a small fix to the patch we send out yesterday. Last minute someone snuck in a bad revision that should not have been there, making it very difficult to use the find game button. This hotfix should alleviate this and make it work smoothly again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

With all of the new Residents, we've had to continue expanding the services provided on board the Alithea. The new areas of the ship that have become available were just the first steps. But now, SIIC is working on launching our latest and greatest cruise offering: customized experiences!
In order to support these custom experiences, we're first going to have to roll out some changes to how our crew gets you on board. While these changes aren't anything you'll see just yet, it allows us time to make sure everything is working on our side before we start letting Residents head off on custom experiences.
While we're training the crews in the new processes, we've also got crews on the ship taking down the Lunar New Year decorations. We had a blast celebrating and we hope you did too! Some of our maintenance workers also took it upon themselves to make some changes while they were cleaning out the Casino. Please let us or your nearest Personoid know if anything seems amiss!
Above all, have fun and enjoy the ride. We can't wait to start offering custom cruises for you and your friends!
