Flea Status Report - 26 March 2021
Hey everyone, While we're polishing build and gathering more people to join our next testing session, let us share with you what will be changed and added when you open the game next time.
Remember that you can join next test by pressing "Request Access" button on the game page!
This won't be a typical status report split into art, programming etc. We just want to highlight the most interesting features most of which were required by our community for months. So let's start:
1. Aim cursor is now indicating that you're close enough to bite an enemy.
2. When you damage an enemy, his name and health bar become visible for a short time.
3. Teammates are now outlined with a green color.
4. Added timer for ability reload and additional effect when ability is ready.
5. Pick-able ability placeholders are changed to the final models. 6. Pick-able ability "Hive" is now damageable. 7. Music and sound manager is added to settings. 8. Mouse sensivity works correctly now. 9. Added an info widget under the health bar. It shows the type and amount of XP for a successful action.
10. When you have less than 10% HP it indicates you about the danger. 11. "Tribute" scene after the match ending shows the best players during the game and their area of success. 12. All sliders in settings are working correctly now. 13. Assassin character is implemented. 14. Shooter character is implemented. 15. Character choosing screen is available on match start and before the respawn. 16. The first implementation of quick messages is in game now.
17. Player characters are now mixed in a team, you can choose any class despite the team set.

Hey, our next test will be held using the Steam Playtest feature. If you'd like to try the game you are now able to sign up for the playtest. You can find the "Request access" button at the top of the game page (right next to the wishlist and follow buttons... yeah you know what to do ːsteamhappyː ):

What's new?
Hey, everyone! Long time without any update, huh? Yeah, sorry about that! This post is for showing that we're still working on a game. Actually, we've done huge amount of work and fixes to the game and will post some news and status reports really soon.
Also there will be a new option to test the game, using Steam Playtests. In few days you will see a special button to apply for the next test on the game page.

Today is really good time for the status report :) This whole month we've been working on next big update but have something to show you even now. As always join our discord for news about the game: https://discord.gg/hxxSZfw
So let's start:
General:
- Basic optimisation for levels. - Ability butterflyare now able to fly. Try to catch it and get random perk: [previewyoutube="nc_DrmlPlMo;full"] - Balance fixed again. - Dash attack is now working fine even with high in-game ping (tested up to 150ms).
Art:
- Assassins have gotten their first texture:

Programming:
- Super old bug that prohibit you from re-connecting to the game without full game restar is finally fixed! - Dead characters parts if now pick-able and add you some health - Huge optimization and cleaning in project code and files.

A lot of time passed from the last status report :) We've been working hard during this period and ready to share with you some result.

General:
- Basic optimisation for levels. - Tentaculas fully integrated in game. - More valuable effect for damage receiving. - Wormactus gamemode added. - Huge balance fix. - Pick-able abilities are in game again - New pick-able ablities in prototype stage (grenade, wasp, maggot spawner, skin level increase) - Game HUD completely re-worked.
Art:
- We're working on a new classes, like this one:
- Character animation improved. - Tentaculas ability effects re-worked - Lighting problem on UfoArena night map is fixed
Programming:
- Gameplay mechanics polishing and fixing (dash, dodges, biting, abilities). - Dash attack mechanics fixed now it is much more smoother and stable. - Dodges added to the game. - Wormactus gamemode - Several bugs fixes. - Work on the network stability.

Hey, here is a report of how Flea Madness development is going :)
But first let us remind you about our our free testing which we hold from time to time. That is a great opurtunity to try the game and help to make this game awesome :) Link to discord will be at the end of this article, you will find all info about the test there.
So let's start:
General:
- Basic optimisation for levels. - More valuable effect for damage receiving. - Effect for successfu killing of enemy. - Map rotation, now 2 maps are active on test. - Huge balance fix. Now characters are more powerfull but need more food. In a nut shell your size and interation is harder to get and more veluable. - News about next test in the main menu.
Art:
- Second map "Ufo Arean night" is added and has got a new lighting style. - We are working on second character class "Tentacula", its model and texturing are ready. Now we are working on their animation. So they will be implemented in-game soon. - Improved visual effects for characters and level.
Programming:
- Amazon gamelift integration. - Several bugs fixes. - Reducing of a Physics unstability.
